Wow, I think they officially made the stock boot animation even more horrible than before....lol. And now we get to see "Sprint" carrier label in our status bar on the left hand side.
On a positive note, Marshmallow seems a lot smoother so far.

Congrats Sprint users! Ironically, after being with Sprint 10 yrs, I dumped them for AT&T 2 days ago... lol Probably be another month til I get MM. ugh!

:: patiently awaiting rooted firmware ::

Hmm, how to enable hotspot on non-rooted phone? I've got my MSL number and went into the ##DATA# menu, but things are changed around and I don't see the old options I had to edit before.
Edit: I can see the APN menu, but can't edit it even with my MSL.

Hey dazed. I hear that you're leaving us. It's been a pleasure man. A lot of what I know today, I owe to you sir. I'll definitely keep in touch to see what you're up to. Stay well my friend!

yeah it seems sprint finally found a way to lock the apn even if you have the msl, hope we as a community can remedy this

Is there a way to reinstall the update without rooting? It's been pretty laggy for me, and every now and then I get a "system UI" error.

Went through the whole process of backing up my internal, wiping everything, flashing OI1 in odin, OTA'ing to MM, and then another factory reset, and omg so worth it. Even after installing (and running) all my normal apps its super buttery smooth. Love the new features too. Can't wait for a stock rooted kernel or systemless root

Welcome to REVOLUTIONMOD's Q&A And BUG REPORTING CENTER
PLEASE KEEP ALL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS RELATED TO MY ROM HERE AS I HAVE TO USE MY ROM TO UPDATE IT AND GET FEEDBACK FROM OTHER DEVS!
AND ALSO PLEASE KEEP THE QUESTIONS AND BUG REPORTS RELATED TO THIS ROM ONLY HERE AND NOT TALK ABOUT ANYTHING IRRELEVANT.
ALSO GIVE ADVICE ABOUT TO FLASH AND LOOK IN THE SIG FOR THE DEV THREAD.
ALWAYS FOLLOW FORUM RULES HERE AS WELL AS ANYWHERE ELSE.
i have installed this rom with a full wipe, it doesnt mount my ext sd card for soem reason
The problem is with the Infusion Kernel the Vold.fstab file is weird
the File mounts your sd cards and memory .
The Entropy512 daily driver kernel fixes it but leaves out the Boot animation support.
flash the latest edition of the kernel with SGS kernel Flasher
and search in the Threads
so i installed version 1.2 then upgraded to 1.2.1 and with both flashes i had no apn settings im using my att infuse comming from stock rooted UCLB3
Look in the cm7 thread for the apn fix
i cant help until tomorrow sorry
How is face Unlock doing
Any Bugs Yet??? for 1.3
Thanks for the mod
I installed 1.2.1, but no theme, no battery % mod, how do i get what you have in the screenshots?
Otherwise it looks great! Patiently waiting for face unlock!!!
How do I get a Gingerbread bootloader? Can someone post a link to a tut? Plz? BTW this rom looks AMAZING!
Hello,
I'm not getting any data connection after flashing v1.2.1 of this ROM. I followed the instructions to the letter, and have no access to the internet unless my WiFi is turned on.
I have also flashed the KL2 modem over the one in this ROM, and still have no data.
I'm not too sure if this is a general bug, or if I've missed something here . . .
I am a Rogers client, if that helps in any way.
Thanks in advance,

Have you checked your APN settings? Maybe something is missing. Oh and maybe you can try the single APN trick from miui. It should be referenced in the first few posts of the ROM thread.
EDIT: oh, wait. I don't know about the apn setting working on Rogers. Maybe there's something missing in ur settings but I'm doubting the single apn trick would work now.

I thought about trying that, but had to head out before I could. I just ended up reverting to my backup and to NumasX ROM. Last night I installed the Revelation ROM, and it seems to be working perfectly so far.
The really weird thing is that Revolution was about the 5th ROM I've flashed since starting this, and it's the ONLY one that's had an issue like this.
Anyways, it's not an emergency or anything, but if it helps someone else out, then even better.
The no data thing is simple to fix. Just use the apn trick for Rogers

OTA & ROM. Help Please...?

Some background info:
Nexus 5
Unlocked Bootloader
TWRP
Running Purity Rom
I have been running this Rom for about 2 months with no major issues. Now I am being prompted to do an OTA to 4.4.3. If I was stock that would be normal and expected but I am not sure what to do in my situation. I can not stop the prompt, I clear it from my notification window and it just appears back in 10 seconds or so.
I have tried to figure it out but cant find anything on the Purity thread, and I cant post my question there because I don't have 10 posts...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize if this answer is in a million places and I didn't see it.
Do not accept the OTA. Flash another rom if you want rid of the notification

With that being said, Is it even possible to update the ROM I'm currently using without doing a wipe. They have released a few new versions since I flashed.

I am in a pretty similar situation. At this point I'm happy with the stability and performance of the build I'm on. Upgrading to 4.3.3 isn't a huge concern at this moment. I just don't have the time to reconfigure all applications and settings if I have to do a wipe.
Figured out I out if you disable viewing notifications from the Google play services app the notification will go away.

Reading Puritys thread, you can dirty flash it, but do it at your own risk. I read quite a bit of success doing it.
I run Purity 4.4.3 and it's really nice.
But like I said, either disable it if you don't care for the update, or try a dirty flash.
Or back everything up, and wipe, then flash and then restore.
But I take no responsibility for what may happen if you dirty flash, or anything.

I forgot to come back and update this thread. The issue for me was resolved by doing a dirty update, with no wipes at all. Obviously do a nandroid back up in your respective recovery first.

What would be the best method to get this update if you're on a custom rom. Odin back to stock and Ota or just wait for a downloadable zip?

Did I forget the at the end of my post again? Lighten up people, it's my opinion, everyone's got one!
I'm sure we're going to get oodles of people updating, then complaining when they can't use Xposed. Like in this thread, and the 5 others below it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-installer-lolipop-t3013726
I'm excited it's finally released, I think L is a much better OS. I'm excited to use it eventually!
Mine did the first update then says the second will be available soon.
I could go back to stock and check, but that's a lot of work.
Very Exciting News over here
Hi all!
Did some reading through the ODIN thread for the Verizon GS5. I'm still on 4.4.2, rooted, because I didn't see the benefit in just going to 4.4.4 and having to jump through hoops to keep root.
With 5.0 on the horizon here, I'm hoping people can shed some light on the update process, even if it means losing root. Currently when an OTA update is attempted, it downloads, goes into the stock bootloader, attempts to install, realizes that a "custom firmware" was attempted, and tells me the update failed. I just froze sdm 1.0 through Titanium and figured I would worry about it once Lollipop approached.
With that being said, is the only way to make the phone not read "custom" with the unlock symbol on boot to revert back to stock with Odin? Just planning to see if it's possible to keep data on the upgrade or if I'll essentially have to start from scratch.
Thanks!

I installed earlier and was able to get recovery and root, but not to long ago I was debloating and I guess deleted some knox files and got stuck on a boot loop :/, now I have to flash all the way back to PI3 and update one by one to QB1, which i'm hoping works or else i'm gonna be out of a phone until a flashable stock rom releases.
I updated and have root and recovery.
Does anyone have the odin stock firmware yet? I also tried to download via Sam Firm app and get the same error. I also talked to Sprint and they basically wont give me the ota as of now.

Nougat and Edge app issues
A friend is not liking Nougat did to her Edge. Seems like all the edge apps are different or non-functioning. I tried to help, thinking it was just a setting she missed, but all I could find were Samsung edge apps on the Samsung store. Specifically she liked the slide-able, colored bar notifications for each individual favorite contact. Now all she has is all contacts. Any idea what I am missing? Thanks!

Nope, it was regular 360.
Wife made me box it up and ship to her dad, so I no longer have the phone.

7X is already out, $200 on sale at Amazon right now. But it has almost identical specs to the 6X. I expect a year newer phone to be an upgrade, not a lateral move. Zuk2 came out June 2016 and doens't have LTE bands for US carriers. It had very little worldwide coverage with only a few obscure LTE bands. Great specs otherwise though.
