Android System Update Files - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note5

Updated my Verizon Note 5 to 6.0.1 via the system updater. Now wondering how Android handles the removal of downloaded system update files once they are installed. Are they deleted during the update process? Do they stay in the inaccessible root folders until another update comes along to write over them? Or does Android automatically delete them after a set amount of time? Just curious. Thanks in advance for any info!

[Q] Update system APK without ADB Push?

We have an app built into the system of a custom rom/hardware that allows the end-user to update various programs on the Android device. However, we have no way of updating the update program. If we do it normally by installing it like any other app, it gets reverted when the system is rebooted.
Is there a way to update a system APK without having to use adb push or have the end-user do anything special? I'd rather not have to send out a bunch of SD cards with firmware images and instruct each of them on how to update it. Is there some way we can sign the application so the Android OS knows it's a valid system app and not overwrite it?

[Q] Do I need to enable all 'disabled stock apps' before updating my system?

Have disabled almost 15 stock apps on my non-rooted Nexus 5. Would a System update go wrong when done without enabling those apps?
Probably a noob question, but had to ask since official Android L 5.0 update is around the corner
When updated from 4.4 to 4.4.4 I've disabled some system apps too. But it doesn't make a problem, all works fine.
OTA fails if you modify system. Disabling apps is not modifying system. System cannot be modified without root.

OS file update location

Hi all,
The update files downloaded to the phone, and I am constantly prompted to update the software. I don't want to do that.
Originally I didn't turn off the auto-update.
Is there a way for me to delete the downloaded OS update files, which presumably will stop the notifications?

How to stop Honor v8 system update notify?

My Honor v8 is rooted. Current version is KNT-AL20C00B391, and there's a new version KNT-AL20C00B397. It seems that the official system update package is not supported by TWRP recovery. But it will notify me to update the system every day.
1. How can I stop the system update notify?
2. Can I modify the system version to cheat the system, if I can't stop the notify.
3. Is there any recovery that can support the official system update package.
4. Can I update the system manually? I want to unzip the update package and replace files. But I don't want to reinstall, my data will lost.
Please tell me a way to stop the notify. Thank you!

Will the data be lost, if I unroot and update? And now I know that the notification is limited to 30 times, so I don't want to update.
What I did was use titanium backup to freeze the native update app.
