I have to flash stock rom for my mobile because on the current custom rom adb doesn't work. I have different backups of previous roms and apps on my phone storage (internal sdcard) or should I say built-in sdcard. Wanted to know that if I would use sp flash tool for flashing stock rom, then will it erase internal sdcard?
Will I lose all my backups?I am working on ubuntu.
Please help me on this issue. Any information will be appreciated.

Go to Recovery.
Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM.
Wipe All partitions - system, boot, data ,cache, dalvik cache {except your SD card}.
Install Zip from SD card & navigate to your ROM from your SD card.
Flash G Apps attached in the OP of the ROM.
Reboot
So basically I am migrating ROMs and have a lot of junk apps that I want to remove by using the SuperWipe full script. Then straight afterwards I was planning on flashing the rom (Revolver V4). The problem is that Superwipe wipes the internal storage where I would actually put it and the rom. I don't know how things would go if Superwipe wipes itself and also what I would do if the ROM file was deleted (I wouldn't be able to boot).
I figured the solution was to flash both off my external sd card however I can't find any such option for that in CWM. Only 'Install zip from SD' which points to my internal storage.
1. Would it be ok anyway to flash it on internal storage.
2. If not, how do I access external storage from within CWM.
3. If impossible, what other options do I have for doing this?
1. No, the ROM .zip would be wiped, and you stuck.
2. There are some mount commands, but to use those you need adb working, and if you have adb working, just 'adb push rom.zip /sdcard/' then flash from internal.
3. You could install the latest Rouge XM touch recovery, which has support for internal and external, and is still touch.
Hope I've cleared it up a bit.
Does Flashing Stock Samsung ROM in Odin Clear out the System Partition?
Options Used:
No repartition
ROM put inside PDA slot
I'm wondering because I suspect there may have been some malware in the previous ROM that was flashed. So I want to be sure all the Files that were in the System Partition Previously are deleted.
Hello Guys, i have micromax canvas knight phone which does not have external memory card support. The phone is rooted and i need to flash a rom. For that i need to wipe data/factory reset, as i put the rom zip file in internal memory, rom file would get erased. Since factory reset is mandatory before flashing a new rom through recovery, how can we do that without losing the rom file in internal memory? Please help.
