Evening:
I'm trying to find this: [KERNEL] SpeedMod Froyo[K13A-T1][K12U HPCall VooDooSnd4 Sharpness Stable]. It SHOULD be here at this site. I need this kernel so I can go about upgrading this phone. And if this kernel has been upgraded or given a different designation could you please provide that D/l link?
Thank You:
RICK

Hi, first of all, thank you all for the work you do here and so invaluable assistance to users like me.
My question is this:
I have a GT I9000 SGS GingerBread XWJVZ v2.3.6 Open EUR [kernel semaphore v2.1.1]
Can i upgrade the kernel version to 2.4.0 or is reserved to JW1?
From what I read in the post (in which I can not now ask this question) is reserved for GingerBread not for the particular version, but if you were kind enough to confirm I'd appreciate it.
Much improvement over the v2.1.1 with which I am very happy?
Thank you again.
Please..

Yes you can use 2.4.0, I'm using it on jvt!
Sent using TCP/IP
Thanks....
Thank you very much, has been a great help.

My phone model is Gt i9000, Firmware version.: 2.3.6...,Baseband version :I9000BUJV4, Build no. : GINGERBREAD.BUJVG , Kernel version : 2.6.35.7-I9000BUJVG-CL719381 [email protected]#2
from My Samsung Galaxy S Gt i9000
hi there.
have a new galaxy s2 with the baseband-version mentioned in the subject.
i want to flash cyanogenmod 7.2 with heimdall on ubuntu, so which cf-root-kernel do i need?
so if i am right, i should get an kernel which works with my current rom, but does it matter which kernel i use, when i want to flash cyanogenmod 7.2 after that?
anyway, i do not see cf-root in chainfire's cf-root thread for:
GT-I9100G
I9100GXXKL4
GINGERBREAD.XXLA1
which kernel do i need for my little journey?
i've read, but i couldn't find anything.
if somebody has a better solution, please let me know.
In the I9100 section you'll find how to ROOT "G" I9100 its not with cf-root but there are insecure kernels for the rooting of the "G" version there different hardware so even custom ROMs are specific to "G" model. I'm mobile so no link but not even having "G" model have seen threads on the topic...
Sent via the valley of the shadows.....
Any solution?
Did you find a solution for rooting this firmware? I'm having the same problem
Solution!
I've managed to flash my device with the stock rom & kernel shortly after the post. For solutions and the software just look here or here.
I have a Baseband / 2.6.32 Kernel but i want to upgrade it to Baseband / 2.6.35 Kernel. because i want to install "IceColdSandwich by elol " Rom and it uses the newer kernel version. (My phone is Spice MI 410 Indian version )
So my question is can i update my Kernel?
If yes, then can i update it using SUT? (AS its the easiest and safe way, i had bricked my phone earlier without it!)
And if you are kind enough can you give me a link or advise to the file which can update it as i have no clue where to look except asking you guys
Thanks for keeping this wonderful site functional.

What you're looking for: SUTLR 1.8, and Andro-ID RC3 by TJ style
I've asked a noob question on Q&A before: showthread.php?t=1931491 (Sorry for clogging the Q&A with noob questions )
Andro-ID RC3 here showthread.php?t=1446449
Flashing Andro-ID through SUT is necessary because it implements a new baseband on which the .35 kernel can only work... And to flash a nb0 with .35 baseband you must use SUT 1.8 or above
If this helps then cheers And sorry i couldn't post direct links because i'm new to xda...
I am rooted and unlocked and was hoping someone could offer an opinion on which kernel would be best to run with stock JB rom. I would like the option to OC and as far as I can tell there are 2 main kernels; KToonsez and Leankernel. Are there any more? Either way, which would be most highly recommended? I realize what one thinks works best might not be the case for another, but I am open to suggestions. I also found the Siyah kernel but I think it only works on international versions.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
There is another TW JB kernel in the original development section here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2063058. There is also Faux kernel for TW JB here:http://faux.androidro.ms/d2tmo/beta/d2tmoatt-faux123-kernel-tw-015b03.zip. Here is the homepage for it: https://plus.google.com/u/0/109078966818501160423/posts/ahiHu35k2p5, and the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785466. It is supposed to work fine on Verizon. I haven't used any of them to be able to offer any experiences.

I would be very great full if anyone can provide the file for the last hotcakez kernel for the skyrocket. I am asking because I went to the hotcakez thread and the download links were dead.
I would appreciate any help here very much.
Thanks
it was a good kernel but the source is now outdated and its not compatible with any of the current ROMs. CVD or lightning kernel are your best bet
