Hey folks, ive done a 5.1.1 update in oct 2015 and since then lost my 4G completely.
ive done a hell of a lot of research and tried 100 methods and nothing helps.
My device is currently rooted with custom kernel, hoping that will sort the issue.
im in South Africa and my Carrier ( Vodacom) cant help...
any advice? i feel like smashing this phone!

thank you for the quick response, although s6 edge forum or related topics have thousands of threads there doesnt seem to be a KNOWN solution for this problem. is there anyone that does have a solution? clear cache, reboot, factory reset. flash rom etc did not work for me,
im at the point of going crazy.

Did you check with your carrier? If you lost 4g probably it's a carrier issue

, not carrier, did speak to them numerous times.
4G was fine with 2/3 bars all the time till i did this SH!T 5.1.1 update.
what scares the pi$$ out of me is that ive been doing research on this for 5 months now and NO ONE has come up with the "correct" solution.

Dont have one myself, but have you tried Towel Root? works on everything ive used on it so far. As for data issues, yeah i do, mainly cause its sprints network lol. Usually find my data issues are related to sprints network not the device, USUALLY that is.

Please Mr. Chainfire, find us root for Sprint Galaxy s5 G860P. You sir are our only hope at this time. I have 2 weeks left before i can exchange it. I wasn't very smart in first checking for root info before i purchased it. I love the cell but its been 2 weeks and I don't see anyone working on this issue. I'm gonna exchange it if it isn't found before my exchange expiration date.

Try a different USB port and /or a different USB cable.
I recently hard bricked my s3 then put on a new rom then wifi doesn't work anymore everytime I slide it to on it just goes back to off anyone know how to fix this?

Exactly which ROM did you flash?
No response in two days, thread closed.
So ive tried rooting mine it is the metro pcs version sm-360t but unlocked. Well ended up bricked had to load the t-mobile rom onto my device since it turned it into paper weight. If anyone had success on rooting theres ,point me in the right derection please. thanks

Hi. I've searched for months. I'm not a novice, but I'm not even close to programmer... I've a Samsung S4 mini i9195i running 4.4.4 . I rooted as soon as I got it, everything works great except 4g. I'm on tmobile in the USA, and I can't figure how to get 4g operable. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am using Rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505), since a month. Everything was working fine, until I came to this: No Sim ERROR
I have been using the cellular network for a month, and now suddenly, it prompts "No sim".
I have not tried any custom ROM.
Some relevant details are:
Baseband version: I9505XXUHOG1
Android: 5.0.1
Build Number: LRX22C.I9505XXUHOG1
Device Type: jfltespr
PDA Version: L720VPUAMDC
CSC Version: L720SPTGOD2
Now, either guide me about a way to get through this, or incase, final solution is installing Custom ROM, then please provide me a proper and active link of one (suitable for my device) and some necessary precautions, as it would be my first time, if it needs to be.
Guyz, please help ASAP, i m stuck, and cant use my Dialer anymore!

Nothing is brief so far!
I have tried many things (roms) and ended up with the so-called best one, CyanogenMod but no fruits. Please help me get it back. I am currently in a GSM area but my phone (Galaxy Sprint S4 (SPH-L720) supports CDMA, and after all the research and time I spent on this issue, I am sitting with no proper solution.
Please Help.
