Hi. I'm on the same Problem with Salt on a S5. I'm on the Point where i can enable wifi calling but it does not connect.
I think my baseband Version is wrong and have to be changed
I followed this thread to install the Firmware for S5 and i changed the CSC nearby yours:
//forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/rom-ane4-kitkat-4-4-2-multi-csc-t2813628
I asked the Salt Support about it. They told me that only Devises who soldet by them can connect to the Salt wifi.
If this is true we need to have a orginal Salt Firmware to pluck the pieces.
Sorry about my very bad english... i'am a Kuhschweizer

Hi, XDA-Developers,
I am back from China where it bought this little phone (which is DUOS - means supports two SIM Cards):
The phone is China Unicom Branded and updates in KIES just fine:
AP: S7562CZNUANB1
CP:S7562CZNUANB1
CSC:S7562CCHUANB1
It does not seem to be SIM locked, since local SIM cards seem to work fine:
As i am located in bulgaria and have two major problems:
1. Lack of any Google apps and services - no google maps, google play store..
2. Lack of any Bulgarian local settings (only English and Chinese).
It seems the ROM is multi-CSC - displayed when starting in recovery mode.
However all operations related to changing CSC or installing google apps seem to require rooting the phone, which i am not able to find any reliable information. Any information i find is about GT-S7562 which is pretty much different phone it seems.
So i am a bit stuck on what i can do.
There is mentioning that you can flash CSC from another region using ODIN, however i could not really find reliable information about this and source of proper CSC files.
Best Regards, Chavdar
I have this phone and I can help you with number 1. Unfortunately number 2 can't be fixed because this phone was only released in China and as such it only has 2 languages. If you still need help reply and I can guide step by step
Please advise steps of fixing number 1.
Thanks.
Hello xda
first, i searched the forum and other sources for solution and didn't found any help
-My phone is Lenovo A319 dual sim
-i download the latest stock firmware for it from 4PDA
-then before flash i select the scatter in sp flash tool and did format all except bootloader.
-then flashed the firmware and everything done well.
-after powering on my phone with sim card it didn't recognize it (Both sim 1 and sim 2) - no imei - no serial number - baseband is ok.
-i fixed all of this and after some tries the phone recognize both sim(s) but just 1 bar signal in sim 2 (2G) out of 5
-and sim 1 keep doing searching and no service and randomly get network (G) and sometimes (3G) but can't make calls, ussid ... etc
*Things i have tried*
1-fixed imei with SN & IMEI Writer. (Done!.)
2-fixed SN with Maui META 3g and ini config file that i have found on the internet that supposed to fix 3g but it only fix SN:nullnull to SNNxxxxxxxxxx (where x is some letters and numbers). (Done!.)
3-flashed another secro.bin from another MT6572 device(original secro.bin from stock firmware a319 flashed already). (No Luck with network)
4-changed TX settings in RF Tool in Maui META 3g [ GSM900=TX:-13 - 1800=TX:-10].(No Luck with network)
5-some other playing in Eng. Menu (*#*#3646633#*#*).(No Luck with network)
Notice:
-firmware i have downloaded has a folder Called "APDB" that contains database files for my device and a file called "catcher_filter_1_wg_n.bin".
-firmware dosn't have nvram.img.
-i have no backup.
-i'm sure that is the problem can be solved by changing band settings in Maui META 3g in RF Tool but i have no idea how to accomplish such thing.
-i guess the problem i because the firmware is Russian and my phone work in Egypt so the band settings is vary from here to there.
i hope i can get some help, and sorry for my bad english

hello
iam not an expert but i had some problems the same way with 3g and gsm by seeking some infos in this fourms and others
i found that u can easly extract ur device modem data base by the following command "under adb "
" adb pull /etc/mddb C:/adb " notice that c:\adb is going to be the extraction destination
so u v just got ur own modem database
easly i guess u can extract similar working device modem and just go to Maui META v 9.1604.02.00 then load it there and apply it to ur own device by selecting Rf and then 3g settings also change ur imei to ur original ones
---------------
i hope that i'am saying a good and useful stuff or some one can correct the mistakes 4 me
** sorry that i was here for long time just learning without trying to give or share i hope that one day i will have some info to share..
dial *#06#.. if you got invalid imei, then...write down your both imei (you can see at the back of your phone) download and install chamelephon, open and write down both imei. apply and restart your device. enjoy
Hi All,
I've seen many threads asking this question but doesn't answer it to my situation. I'm using this phone in Sri Lanka and my carrier recently launched VoLTE. I called up my carrier and got them to activate VoLTE for my SIM and so far I've not been able to make use of this.
The other threads talks about a setting either under Phone -> Settings or Settings -> Mobile Networks which is not there in my case.
Does this mean that the ROM/CSC that I have doesn't support VoLTE (I'm using the original ROM)?
Regards,
Asanka
In my S7 Dual Sim there is a Quick Toggle for VoLTE; Its there where you can turn on/off wifi, mobile data, bluetooth etc
VoLTE & VoWiFi working
Let's revive this thread.
I have a Galaxy S7 Duos (G930FD) which originally came with Kenya (AFR) firmware. After reading several threads, I replaced the firmware, using Odin, with the Indian (INS), but VoLTE still didn't show up. After verifing if the provider has enabled VoLTE on the SIM card in a Huawei P Smart an everything was functional (VoLTE and VoWiFi), making sure that the SIM card is in slot 1, I decided to re-write the Romanian open firmware (ROM).
And surprise ... Wi-Fi calling (under Connections) and 4G call (under Connections >> Mobile Networks ) are active and working.
Dear Nica,
I've been dying to get my S7 duos to work with volte and wifi calling features.
I've downloaded and installed over 20 different firmware versions and am unable to get it to work.
I can't locate Romanian firmware for 930fd model and was hoping that you can point me right direction please.
Would you please be able to help me?
Many thanks
Michal.

Michal, the G930F firmware works absolutely the same, you can flash it without reservations.
Here is the link for the latest Romanian firmware: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s7/firmware/SM-G930F/ROM/download/G930FXXS6ESI4/295333/
Working on SM-G930FD with Mint Mobile USA
Hi there,
I thought that I would share my findings. I got volte working on G930FD. The setting comes up under Connections --> Mobile Networks --> VoLTE calls. I have tested it with calls and LTE Discovery app to make sure that I am not dropping back down to 3g/H+/etc... The calls are so much better for me. I am hard of hearing, so it really helped me. I will list how I did it below.
1. Download this firmware. https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/ga...S8ETC3/327944/
2. Use Odin v3.14.4 to flash BL, AP, CP, CSC ( I used CSC not HOME CSC)
3. Boot phone and enable developer mode (not sure if necessary, but this is the way I did it)
4. Reboot to download mode and flash TWRP (uncheck auto reboot)
5. Immediately after flash, reboot to recovery (Power, Volume down, Home to reboot, then Power, Volume up, Home to enter TWRP)
6. Swipe to allow modifications
7. Wipe--> Advanced Wipe --> Select Data --> Repair or Change File System --> Change File System --> EXT2 --> go back --> and then EXT 4 --> back all the way to main screen.
8. Install --> latest version of Magisk
9. Install --> CSCSelection_V3.0.0.zip https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-...on-30-t3392957
10. Aroma --> Select XXA (Multi USA) --> Select XAA (Unbranded)
11. Reboot and wait to boot (Takes a few minutes)
12. Check in Connections --> Mobile Networks --> VoLTE Calls
That's it. Good luck!!
Oh yeah, Wifi calling is in the dialer app under settings, but I have had no luck with it, even though Mint Mobile supports it.
I have a Xperia Z5 UK model E6653. But it does not have Volte enabled? Any idea on how to enable it?
I have tried the following:
1. Tried installing EE firmware to check if VoLTE is getting enabled
2. Ran the code *#*#4636#*#* and check for VoLTE provisioning flag. The flag is present but I am unable to toggle it. It displays Turn Off VoLTE provisioning flag.
Any help would be appreciated. Please note that I am currently with Virgin 4G plan.

The patch has not been tested in the call to HD since my carrier does not support VoLTE.
The patch activates flags VoLTE.
And yet, you need to find the settings of the access point to the IMS operator, and enter them in the APN.
Install the patch via twrp recovery.
Firmware 32.3.A.0.376.

Thank you for the test, I will continue to test.
You can try to change the modem in accordance with its operator.
For this you need to modify the line ro.build.type=user to ro.build.type=userdebug in /system/build.prop and reboot the device.
Then you need to install QuickShortcutMaker and click on the Customization Selector and make a shortcut for the Modem Switcher.
After opening the Modem Switcher, select the modem in accordance with its operator.
And most importantly, you need the original keys TA (maybe). Them in - you can invest using the Trim Area Of Proof Of Concept. Continue to test.
Beta 2.3 will activate VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling.

You can try to install the patch for the firmware 32.2.A.5.11, but I can't guarantee stable work.
You need to change the modem in accordance with its operator, and add the profile to the IMS APN.
Then you need to install QuickShortcutMaker and click on the Customization Selector and make a shortcut for the Modem Switcher. After opening the Modem Switcher, select the modem in accordance with its operator.
Who installed these patches, please write if it works with your carrier.
A few days ago, wanted to test the patch, but failed. Operator is not connected IMS me as the phone has not been tested on their support for VoLTE.
After installation, you need to choose a modem in accordance with its operator.
You need to install QuickShortcutMaker, then open it to make a shortcut using the app then go to Customisation Selector \ Modem Switcher. Open Modem Switcher and select modem according to your network operator. If the selection of the modem's cellular network is not, then restart the phone.
You also need to restore the access point default to the new profile activated! ( Settings>More>Mobile network>APN>Reset to default )
If VoLTE does not work and You know that your operator you hooked VoLTE, then you need to change the APN in the profile apns-conf.xml (patch_ims_for_xperia_z5_beta_Nougat_Roms.zip\oem\android-config\apns-conf.xml). You need to find the profile of the IMS of the operator and to add to the "type" parameter "xcap". You should get something like this:
Code:
<apn carrier="Test IMS"
mcc="001"
mnc="01"
apn="ims"
type="ims,xcap"
protocol="IPV4V6"
roaming_protocol="IPV4V6"
/>
And most importantly, you need the original keys TA.
IMS description
RCS description
If VoLTE doesn't work, you will have to edit the "nv item" or "amss_fsg_***.mbn" (\system\etc\customization\modem\).
Maintain feedback to know if the patch is working.

Hi @grayleshy,
I would like to ask this patch will work with all bands and all operators?
My operator Turkcell in Turkey, it supports VoLTE&VoWifi but not Z5.
Only:
- iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, SE
- Samsung S6, S6 Edge, S7, S7 Edge
- LG K10 (2017 model), G4, G5, V20
If not work, how can we add this for Turkey operators (Turkcell, Vodafone, Turk Telekom)?

For start on these operators it is necessary to make the following:
1. It is necessary to edit an APN profile (patch_ims_for_xperia_z5_beta_Nougat_Roms.zip\oem\ android-config\apns-conf.xml ; patch_ims_for_xperia_z5_beta_Nougat_Roms.zip\data\customization\ota-config\apns-conf.xml)
Find mcc="286" and change the profile Turkcell IMS at:
Code:
<apn carrier="Turkcell IMS"
mcc="286"
mnc="01"
apn="ims"
type="ims,xcap"
protocol="IPV4V6"
/>
Add:
Code:
<apn carrier="Vodafone IMS"
mcc="286"
mnc="02"
apn="ims"
type="ims,xcap"
protocol="IPV4V6"
/>
<apn carrier="AVEA IMS"
mcc="286"
mnc="03"
apn="ims"
type="ims,xcap"
protocol="IPV4V6"
/>
XCAP - The software of the smartphone sees access point of ims and requests a configuration according to the xcap protocol. In reply, from server side, xhml the response which loads in a software arrives and makes authorization on the ims domain with the subsequent activation of a functionality on the device.After a flashing of the changed apn, it is necessary to make so: Settings>More>Mobile network>APN>Reset to default.
2. If the operator does not support protocol xcap, you will have to edit the "nv item" (easier) or configurators amss_fsg_***.mbn.
Hi @grayleshy
Thanks for your reply.
I tried XCAP for 2 zips, but not work. I tried to change amss_fsg_***.mbn, not for Turkcell. I don't know what "nv item" is. Found this thread, but don't know what should I do with this.
Why:
You imported the phone to India from another country and now VoLTE doesn't work for you. Maybe you unwittingly messed with your phones "/odm" partition.
This guide will help you get back the VoLTE functionality for INDIAN MOBILE CARRIERS*. Participate in the poll you want similar guide for other countries.
*might work for Bangladesh, Nepal etc.
Before:
Make sure your carrier supports VoLTE or VoWiFi.
Stock or stock based ROMs.
You should have at least TWRP or root.
Where:
Download the UNFLASHABLE files from here.
How:
-=:TWRP METHOD:=-
Extract the downloaded file, "volte_twrp.zip", to the root of your internal or external storage.
Internal Storage: /storage/emulated/0/TWRP (may not be the same for you)
External Storage: /storage/0000-0000/TWRP (may not be the same for you)
Reboot to recovery.
Select "Backup" from TWRP menu.
Hit "Select Storage".
Select the storage you extracted the downloaded file to.
You should see "2019-05-22-05-24-06_treble....". Select it.
You should see a single entry for "/odm" under "Select Partitions to Restore". Select it if it isn't already.
Uncheck "Enable Digest Verification..."
Swipe to restore. Restart to "System".
-=:root METHOD:=-
I haven't tried this. Let me know!
With your favorite file explorer obtain root access for "/odm".
Replace contents of "/odm" with files extracted from the downloaded file, "volte_root.zip".
Restart.
Good tutorial, but wouldn't be easier just to flash with odin the modem and csc for the specific carrier? It works even on Pie with older oreo modem/csc. You don't need root or twrp.
Tested myselsf, first Pie update was for Russia. Flashed it, but I lost wifi call and volte. So i downloaded oreo stock for my country(Romania - Orange) and flashed the modem and csc. Got back wifi call and volte.

This method only works if both the firmwares are for the same model. For examples I cannot flash Indian(SM-A750FN) firmware on a device I obtained from Malaysia(SM-A750GN) because they are different models (FN<->GN). For more information read my other guide.
