Hello, i want install marshmallow ( 6.0.1) on my Phone Xperia E4?
Best without root.
There is no marshmallow rom for sony xperia e4...
If you want without root, buy phone from Z line.
No official update for e4 well it has mtk processor don't except one tho..
Maybe is rom 5.0.1/5.1 ? Of course for my Xperia E4

Nope brother it seems no hope Sony only give update for z series most & there seem no dev to work on e4 iv seen some rom for Mediatek MT6582 device have a look on YouTube just have a look don't try to install or do anything its not for xperia e4 it just mention the processor not the actual device name so just have a look.

You're in luck, there's one member who's working on CM12.1. The latest update is he's currently busy with examinations so you might be seeing it a few months later. Here's the official link
Edit: The D2533 has android 5.1, are you sure you don't mean android 6.0?

There's a hope my friend. Recently i got this when i was going through over the net searching for Xperia E3 Lollipop update. This is what i found. Just follow the link. Maybe we need to keep on checking through software update or PC companion.

I think we will need to build Android 5.1 since we have only 4GB of internal memory. Xperia M2 got LP 5.1 version and android system takes 3GB. LP is not that huge, but after Sony put all their stuffs it is. Thats the only reason why I am worried about update. Of course on some sites you can find that we will get marshmallow since we got developer preview. Xperia M2 also got developer preview for 6.0 and M2 users now have 5.1.
I have an idea how to fix camera and mobile data on 5.1, but I am not sure will it work and how long it will be until we get nice custom ROM.
According to jerpelea Sony is still working on this phone. So we can only wait for official or we can start making ROM and I am 100% sure that they will help us.

Great news, everyone!
Sony announced the list of devices for which the Android 6.0 binaries will be available and the Xperia E3 is present on that list.
In fact, all Sony devices which are using Qualcomm chipsets and were released from 2014 till now are present.
Even if having the binaries doesn't guarantee the presence of a fully working Marshmallow ROM for E3 at least Sony lend the developers a hand
So if anyone wants to try and cook a Marshmallow ROM for the E3 now has the chance to do it
I know the 4GB nand is a real problem and the main reason for not getting Lollipop (which isn't something that E3 misses because it's full of bugs and it lags even after almost one year from launch) but with Marshmallow we get FULL sd-card support so we can increase the internal memory partition using sd-cards.
I really believe that this is a good chance for us to get someting done for the E3.
I just hope that the devs will take a look on our device

So we need linux to develop marshmallow? I have downloaded the binaries but I have no idea how to do it. If someone could give me slight hint on how this works I might be able to work I guess.

There are no updates available for C3. You can get it on a custom rom (CM13) but that requires someone to even have the time to compile one.
So can I flash rom of some other device. Like rom of nexus 5x in my device? Will it properly work or not?

Of course it won't work. Each model fits for their specific make, using another system will brick you. But you're more than welcome to try, people seem to think it's that easy because they are all smartphones.
C3 không hổ trợ lên 6.0 bạn à. Kể cả z1 cũng không nằm trong danh sách. Nhưng hy vọng sẽ có custom rom nhiều hơn cho c3.

The C3 is a junk phone with bad reviews. Nobody is gonna make one, get a Nexus instead.

Someone is making AOSP 7.1 for the C3 but it will take at least a year because of schoolwork. It's easier to get a new phone, I heard the Redmi 4 Prime is cheap and has good battery life.

You should learn a lot about Android before moving on to install custom ROMs (there are Nougat custom ROMs for Z3).
Unlocking Bootloader and rooting should be an easy one to achieve for you. If not, Google those things or search on XDA. If you rather just jump in and flash anything you think is good, you will end up with a near-dead device.

Not sure if trolling or serious.....
There's loads of Z3 Nougat AOSP and CAF ROMs now here in the forums....
Just take the time to read about unlocking bootloader and the effect this will have on your camera quality and warranty (which I don't think anyone has now).
They are worth taking the time to learn about.
But as said if you just dive into it you will almost certainly brick your phone and not know how to repair the software.
Do so at your own risk.
