[Completed] soft brick galaxy tab s2 t710 - saved 1.4gb tmp file from smart switch can it be used - XDA Assist

Hi guys,
I was trying to install phh's SuperUser on my tab s2 which didn't work out so well. I cannot get into TWRP nor boot menu but I can get into download menu. I have my tmpAC77.tmp 5.1.1 firmware file from smart switch but I don't know if I can use it in odin or not. Please help!
This tablet has an amooled screen and it won't get off the battery sign so I am worried it will burn in!
I am in the USA and cannot find "official firmware" out there in the proper format, so can anyone tell me if I can use this 1.4gb file? :crying:
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0" (Wifi) Black SM-T710. [US]
Edit: googled a bit more, turns out that file is worthless, but I was able to pull the proper info from my packaging to get it to initialize. Samsung is great! WOO~ This time around I nabbed the proper files just in case.

Where to start...
First, as a disclaimer, I may use language or terms that sound noobish. I have rooted and run custom ROMs on several devices in the past, however generally when I get a ROM I like I stick with it, so I'm not constantly tinkering. I've done my best to search and find solutions so please go easy on me.
17 days ago I was running stock 4.3 on my SGNII when the battery died. Upon charging I found I was stuck in bootloop and had a bad /efs mount. I searched and searched and spent around 15 hours trying this and that but to no avail. I finally threw my hands in the air and got ahold of Josh at mobiletechvideos and he was able to fix the efs mount issue. However, he left me in factory mode which required me to root to get out of, and once I did this I was unable to activate data on my carrier (Ting). I was so happy to have my phone "back" though that I used it like this for 4 or 5 days. I could get on wifi and I could call and send text messages. I had been off the grid so this felt like something I'd fix fully later.
Well I kept reading and found "fix" after "fix", flashed this and that and still no dice. FINALLY, last night, I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086769 which helped immensely. I was able to get TWRP flashed by unchecking the "auto-reboot" option in Odin and pulling the battery after the update took, and via TWRP I was able to install the ROM. I booted up, the device activated, I was running 4.1.2, I made and received some calls, the birds were chirping, the air was sweet...
I had struggled for so long and I had finally achieved success! Then, for seemingly no reason at all, I accepted an OTA update which bricked my Note2. Devastation.
The current state of things...
* Cannot get past the initial "Samsung Galaxy Note 2" screen
* Cannot boot into recovery
* I CAN get into dl mode,
* but, I CANNOT successfully flash anything. TWRP will flash like it took, but upon reboot I'm not able to boot into it. I'm also able to flash a ROM but it fails when it gets to sbin, and upon rebooting I'm greeted by the screen "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
When I try to use Kies it doesn't find the device. I've installed all of the most recent drivers and I'm running Kies as administrator. I select Tools > Emergency Firmware Recovery, THEN connect my device as instructed.
I'm at the apex of frustration. I beg thee to help!!

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100m stuck on logo - only want it for audio player but how?

My Samsung went into an update last week but was interupted during the process. Now it is stuck on the galaxy logo screen. I cannot get it to go into the recovery screen but it will go into download screen. I bought a new phone so no longer need it for phone purposes or ability to connect to satellites etc. But I do want to use it as an mp3 player when I run. I cannot get Kies to recognize it and when I hook up to Odin 1.85 it stops at Nand . How can I recover my phone enough to use it for an mp3?
Thanks

[Completed] Galaxy Tab S 8.4 - Can't get past through Samsung logo

Hello,
So I have a little problem. I was trying to install a ROM and did some mistake. I wiped almost everything on my tablet and restore the system. It said "there's no OS installed" and when I try to reboot I can't get past through the Samsung logo.
I know how to get to download mode and recovery mode, Odin recognizes my tablet while in download mode, but I don't know what to do. Kies, on the other hand, doesn't recognize my tablet and still says "Connecting..."
Can someone help me please?

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Since the 9005 is the Note 3, most likely it would be a problem. Hopefully not one that would affect your regular boot.
Please check this thread out:

If you have any questions, you can post there as well (once you have an XDA account).

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
If you had USB debugging turned on, can connect with that same computer to pull your files.
You may be able to flash a custom recovery via ODIN if your digitizer is not broken (that is, your phone can still register touches), by entering download mode, and confirming by tapping a little left of center. Once you have the custom recovery, you can do ADB as well.
Other than that, you would need a working screen (and digitizer) again to grab the files. So warranty work may be in your future.
Here is someone recent with a similar problem (albeit with an S6 Active):
> Samsung Galaxy S6 > Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Galaxy S6 Active: Need To Access Phone With Broken Screen and Digitizer
A teaser with method two I mentioned:

If you have questions about any of this, feel free to ask in either of the two threads above (once you have an XDA account so you can post there).
Hope this helps, and good luck!
