Hello good kind hearted fellow reading this,
I was trying to root my Old NVIDIA Shield tablet LTE which I foolishly updated to 6.0 so I could remove the tegra.OTA apk and prevent the kill switch.
I first followed the instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tablet/general/how-to-root-nvidia-tablet-android-6-0-t3280671 then lost Wifi.
I then decided to follow the instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tablet/general/unofficial-update-original-shield-t3281541, then after step 3 where I flashed the blob.img, I rebooted the tablet as directed, but now nothing happens. It won't come on so I can proceed with the procedure, It is not recognised in ADB, It only shows up in my device manager as APX when I plug it in and shows the green/orange light which indicates charging. The screen remains BLACK>
The bootloader is already unlocked
Is all hope lost??? Is there anyway to revive this? PLEASE HELP ME...
I have read through threads which i searched for using the keyword "BRICK", but I dont seem to be able to find anything that can help.
Thanks a bunch!

*tears*
Just call NVIDIA and talk to them. If it's only a software problem (flashing gone bad), they can fix it in 10 minutes. As far as I can remember somebody in the first thread I linked, talked about returning the tablet for repair after talking to them.

I've looked through the forums. (if I missed the question I am about to ask in the forums, can someone link me to it? I am new and this is my first time posting, but I have used this forum to help me before)Well...Where do I begin....I rooted my Motorola Defy for the first time(this is my second Defy as my old on had hardware issues) and I decided to try to install a custom ROM(CM7). So I looked into it and downloaded Defy2int from the Android Market. I installed it and once it was done, I rebooted my phone and now it will not get passed the Motorola "M". It will load that "M" then turn off and start up again. Every time I plug it into the USB, a white light shows in the LED. I have tried factory reset and nothing. I know about the RSD lite, but my device is not connecting. Is there still a way to connect it? If so can someone please help me and work with me step by step so I do not mess up my phone further....Thank you :/

You can use this guide to restore any state to the factory installed state:

Hello everyone,
My first time in this site and been reading a lot of posts. I wonder if anyone can help me out with this problem.
I was dusting off my old nexus 7 in order to use for college. The current lollipop versions brought the speed of the device way down. I been reading that plenty of people have the same problem with the new version. I went searching for a way to revert back to kitkat so my tablet can be usable again. Anyways after reading and watching videos I found a good one. I would post it but since I am new tot the forums it restricts me. I followed it step my step even downloaded the correct nexus 2012 wifi kitkat version but when I was flashing the device on the command prompt it kept saying telapia folder was not found. I made sure the file was placed correctly but was still giving me the error. Then I made the mistake of unplugging the usb cable then the tablet shut down. Now the screen won't turn on and under device manager it shows the device as an "APX." I know the physical hardware isn't damaged because I can here the ding noise when I plug the tablet to the computer. Please if anyone has a step to step guide to recover the device that would be awesome. Thank you.
Hi,
Unfortunately, it does not look good for your device. You can read a similar situation here, and try what's recommended...

Other than that, you may not have any luck here.
But I hope you figure it out somehow! :good:
Hi guys, i am new to this forum and would like some help on restoring a bricked (don't know how bad) android tablet. It first got jammed on the start screen logo because of an app that i uninstalled the wrong way. I then tried to reboot it and that is where the problem started, so I decided to try flash a nexus or TWRP or a CWM image with amd with no avail but my phone was detected. CMD kept on displaying that the size of the images were too large, but the RAMDISK.img flashed. After this I also tried sideloading the nexus 5 image, since that's all I could find in the bootloader that actually worked. Unfortunately, as soon as i copied it showed 'aborted' therefore I rebooted it and the cycle began
The battery then drained and now I can't access recovery mode or fast boot (only the menu) which eventually goes off after a few seconds, and when I plug it in, it shows the critical battery sign then tries to boot, but doesn't charge and does this repeatedly. It doesn't display the boot image at all.
It is an Alps LC 007 Tab with some MTK kernel and a custom recovery and bootloader. Is there any hope of reviving my tablet? Please help????????

Seriously? I came to this forum with a mild situation and now I've completely bricked my mt65xx device doing things I didn't know how to do. It's been 3 days!
DAY 1
I try use adb to undo soft brick but the battery dies and I can't access the bootloader or fastboot or recovery but just the boot menu.
DAY 2
I try use the SPF tool with not much knowledge from the YouTube videos I watched and I end up formatting my device with only a backup of the system.img (which isn't even an image).
DAY 3
The device is completely unresponsive after trying over and over with a little bit more knowledge from research.
Now I'm wondering what would've happened if I got a response at least to catch my attention and stop me from doing things without knowledge of what I'm doing. I'm not forcing People to help but at least reply so that I stop. 108 views and no reply. Sorry if I sound a bit too grumpy but I am not happy. .......

Sorry for the late response ... we are trying to help, but xda is not our fulltime job. We do it voluntarily ... next to our jobs and real lifes.
As there is nothing about your exact device on xda, here are some useful threads about similar devices:

Problem: You have purchased a China Lenovo S856 smartphone and tried to flash ROW ('Rest of World') firmware to it for whatever reason. You now have a softbricked phone that won't boot past the Lenovo screen.
Solution: Download the following files, which are a little tutorial with pictures, as well as the correct China firmware for your s856 and the Flashing tool to use....https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6knvSQRiKPzQTMtaXFXZEFNbHc https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6knvSQRiKPzRTk4ZTB3c1VDdzA https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6knvSQRiKPzWVA2UENuY1NYTkk
All the solutions I have seen so far were sketchy at best and very difficult to comprehend, let alone use to unbrick your phone. This is what worked for me, and my attempt to help anyone else with the above problem.
That is all, and good day to you.
Thanks for your help, but my problem looks very difficult now, because the system cannot recognize the phone and the phone refuse to boot on. What do you advice?

Hello...
My system did not recognize my phone, either. Nor would it boot up... it was bricked. This tutorial is for people who are exactly in your situation. I would suggest downloading the files I have uploaded, and reading the tutorial.

Finally got the process started,...but after 7s I got and error message Reached the end of the file.(0x80070026: Receiving hello packet)
Could it be my PC (win 10 32 bit) problem or what do you think?
This happened to me as well, the first and second time I tried the flash. There is a trick which worked for me... I pulled the battery out and put it back in and while holding the volume 'up' button, I plugged my phone into my computer usb port and let windows install the driver. It took a few seconds and then I clicked 'refresh' on the Miflash window, which I had left on. At this point the 'flash' button became available and I clicked on it. This time the flash was successful. Try it.
