So let me start out by saying I know that this application is frowned upon by devs because it has been known to cause issues, but I personally ONLY root for this specific app. Anything else is just a plus.
That being said, this is a short but sweet guide to help you backup your apps in prep for a new ROM flash.
First you need to install a Root file explorer, I prefer Root Explorer from the Play Store. Give it root permissions and browse to your External SD card where your TiBu back up folder is. Long press on your folder and select Move to.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Navigate to your internal SD card and paste the TiBu folder into the root of the card. Depending on quantity of apps and sizes it could take a while.
Once that has completed open up TiBu. Go to preferences, and choose the Backup Folder Location option and detect whole device. TiBu will find the backup folder and after it's selected the app will exit and restart. After that you are now able to delete old backups and make new ones.
Once you are finished simply reverse your steps and move the folder back to External SD and then reselect the location in TiBu preferences.
Cheers!

Before starting the restore procedure have you clicked settings/memory and made sure you have chosen to close all running programs?
well if you sync with outlook then the next sync should bring back all tasks and contacts and such
otherwise you need a .stg editor do a search it's been asked many times in the forum
unfortunately when I connected my device after losing all the data, my desktop also became like my device. so all the contacts got rested in my desktop.
Before connecting, I make an extra copy of .stg file which I think may be restored.
I will search for .stg editor and hope to find one.
settings in activesync on your pc will deside if the pc should be forced to match the pda or the other way around
look around the options
Hello,
MobileVault just worked fine. I was able to restore my contact and appointments. Thank you very much.
MobileVault is a must program for ayone who has Pocket PC.
When I rooted my phone I used the stock SD card to make my gold card. I copied everything on to my PC before then deleted all files on the SD then proceeded.
After everything was completed, I copied everything back to my SD card but I did not delete the files reference the gold card. I only have approx 4g left on the card and want to clean it up a bit. What file (gold card files) can I delete to remove the gold card material. I know that will save me some space. Is there just one folder with all files inside (that would be easy)? I looked through my folders on the root of my card and did not see anything that would point out gold card files etc...
One day I will go ahead and purchase a larger card....
Copy everything off again, format it then recopy your data back to it.
FWIW, the gc.img file is tiny so I don't think you're going to gain as much as you'd like by ridding your card of it.

Thanks, will do. I never thought to reformat before putting everything back on.
All my pictures, Titanium Backups, etc are on this card, but I cannot find them. I flashed Liquid's ROM and did a factory reset, but for some reason it only backed up some old files in the 0 folder in my internal storage. That folder was actually one level down from the root-below the card's default storage spot, so not sure how it happened. When the OS loaded up and I saw everything was gone, I had a tiny heart attack. Couldn't find it with Solid Explorer, but saw that there was only 3GB of space left on the internal card, and this was a clean flash with literally no apps installed or data on the internal storage card. I knew my data must be somewhere on it! I remembered the app called Disk Usage that shows what's taking up space in your memory cards. I installed it and sure enough, there was a huge amount of data in a System folder. You can open the folders directly from the app, but I don't have the option with this folder (as seen in the screenshot, the SHOW option is greyed out). Can anyone help me? I know the stuff is there, just not sure how to get to it.

Found the answer in case anyone ever runs into this issue.
Hi !
I have two copies of any image, song and video saved in my ext_card. The strange thing, is that ES file explorer find two items with the same name located in the same folder and when I deleted one of them, the duplicate is deleted too. Look at screenshots

}
It only happens with ext_card. All is OK with sd_card (I know it because WhatsApp images and videos are not duplicated, for example).
How I can deleted the duplicate files? I tried deleting thumbs without success and cleaning data of Album in settings/app menu but nothing. Any idea?
Thanks!

Copy all of your ext_card files to pc and format it through the phone, then try adding some files again, see if that helps.
More strange things: I installed file manager with ES file explorer installed previously and ES show duplicated items but file manager no. With gallery apps occurs the same. Album shows duplicate items but QuickPic no etc etc
Finally, I restore a Nandroid and remove album, walkman and movies. And all is ok
Thanks anyway!

SD Card Deep Cleaner
This is a great tool that helps to free up storage space by deep cleaning the redundant and residual files on the SD Card.
SD Card Deep Cleaner would thoroughly scan the device's SD Card and summarize files by 10 different categories.
You can easily clean the redundant and residual files on the SD Card to free up storage space.

Check it out from Play Store:good:

this really clean up your Android device
I'll ask the app was not running in background, at least, allow a method to disable it.
It has good features, but alerting each new file being downloaded and so on is really annoying.
