Can we enable the system tuner ui? I have a GS7 in hand but it does not seem to be working. Has anyone else tried or any suggestions or alternative methods to unlocking it other than holding the settings icon in the notification shade?
thanks

I just rooted my Nexus 4 and I am looking for a power control widget to place at the top of my pull down notification menu so that I can access various toggles quickly and easily. I have found a few apps on the Play Store such as "Power Toggles" and "Notification Toggles". The problem with these apps (and I know I'm being very picky) is their notification icon always shows on the notification panel. You can make it transparent but then there is just an empty space there.
Does anyone know of a similar app that would work on a rooted device and give me the toggles without the notification icon always being present? Any support would be greatly appreciated, as I am new to the world or rooting. Thanks!
I'm trying to get the AOSP battery icon instead of the Sony one. I've tried GravityBox, which works to add the AOSP icon, but Sony's one is still there. I know I can disable it in settings but it still shows on the lock screen and when the notification pane is down. Is there any other way to change/remove Sony's battery icon?
Not Optimal... But it works!
So I am figuring you are trying to do this because you got gravity box and when you apply a battery icon it adds it alongside the stock one but doesn't replace it... So there three easy steps to get rid of it! First of all in the settings search for personalization, system icons and untick battery... this will get rid of the battery in the status bar when it is NOT pulled down; then go to the xposed app and download a module called clean lock screen, activate it and tick the option for the removal of the status bar icons... this will get rid of it in the lock screen BUT it will also remove the gravity box one and the WiFi and data signal icons... and lastly, download a module from the xposed installer called android N-ify, this will add some awesome features like the double-tap recents to go to last applications and yata yata but most important thing is that this will customize your notification and quick toggle panel and it by default hides battery... so reboot and your stock battery should be successfully hidden!! I know your question is kinda old by now but I just got back to stock marshmallow in my z3 and was struggling with this same exact problem and this was the best solution I was able to find for this!
So I just updated to .386 via OTA.
Upon reboot I tinkered with the settings>display>system icons and ended up keeping them all on as they were (screenshot attached.)
Anyway after this, automatically appears a 'rotation system icon' like magic. It disappears when I turn rotation to on. When set to off the icon appears (screenshot attached.)
I dont like this, and I assume this is not normal behaviour, I must have unlocked it when switching on and off the system icon tick box list. Annoyingly.
Can anyone advise how I might reverse or remove this icon...
It's the default behavior, but you can remove in the System UI Tuner.
To enable System UI Tuner, pull down your notification shade and long-press on the Settings gear icon for up to 5 seconds (it will start to turn/rotate). Once you let go, you should see a pop-up with the message “Congrats! System UI Tuner has been added to Settings.” And as that message suggests, you can head into settings, scroll to the bottom, and find an option for System UI Tuner.
Inside it, you will be able to remove some Status Bar icons.

You kind sir are a shining example of community support.
Didn't know that even existed.
Thanks again :good:
Does anyone know how to access SystemUI tuner? I've tried holding down the gear icon in the notification tray but it doesn't work. I'm just trying to hide the status bar because I have a clock widget already so having the time displayed on the status bar is redundant.
Thanks
Have you tried going through Nova launcher? I forgot the specifics but there might be a way to enter the menu through a widget
Does anyone know how to show the battery level next to the bluetooth icon on the status bar? It worked fine on my old OnePlus 5T phone with the same devices I use to connect on the Xperia 5 II.
Additionally, how do we enable System UI Tuner? When I tap and hold on the settings cog in the notifications panel, nothing happens!
Hi, if it's any like my xperia 5mk1 then I'm afraid you won't be able to se battery level next to the bluetooth icon on the status bar. However you can see battery level of Bluetooth device on the Bluetooth toggle if you just half swipe down notifications shade.

I'm sure you've found this yourself but in the case of the System UI Tuner try these options. I used the Nova Launcher method
Enable System UI Tuner on Android 11 and 10
System UI Tuner is gone from Android 11 and 10? Long-pressing config gear gives no effect? You no longer can control what (and how) is displayed in your status bar in Android device? Well… no…
