If ur are using stock rom with stok kernel, my best opinion is go with link2sd..
U need to create a second partition in ur memory. Partition should of following format fat32(only Stock kernel), all ext.. file system type.
Then install the link2sd application then the application itself guide u...

I suggest you a custom rom with m2sd script. It will convert your sd partition to internal memory virtually.

Use Link2d ,,,best solution availabe..scripts just make phone slow and app crashed..

Not all scripts does lag or fc... m2sd handles even slow memory cards... for me no lag or no fc. I'm using 16 GB class 4(slow sd) with 1 GB partition. I filled upto 750 MB but still it doesn't show any difference in performance. It's my personal experience... it's not a big deal to try all the options,so Instead of thinking about others best, y don't you find your best?

I posted because it possible in PC to use external pendrive as RAM.

Theoretically possible by creating swap partitions in ur SD card...
Practically won't work as u can't get any sd card in the world to work as fast as ram can...
That is the read write speed of ur sd card is so pathetic compared to the ram...
So instead of increasing ur ram it slows the whole system down...

you can you need to be on a kernel that supports swap....while partitioning via cwm select swap size...on the other side ur sd will get dead soon even if you are on a class 10 sd it will lag like hell so it isnt recommend

The use of SWAP, known as an external RAM Extension is highly dangerous to your SD Card and will drastically reduce its life and R/W Speed, it can be done by:
1. Boot into CWM
2. Go to Advance options and make an EXT4 partition, it will ask you for SWAP size at one point and select your desired value/space
3. Creating the partition is over.
Just creating it does NOT damage your card, what damages it is the SD Card not being able to have a CONSTANT R/W capability such as RAM because RAM is in a way, well, modern RAM at least, self-sustaining memory as it in some computers for example actually stores boot information and sometimes even the BIOS itself. The use of external RAM will never be perfected as the SD Cards are NOT meant for it.
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!

Just as I said guys its no use using swap partition unless some hardware companies make superfast sd cards!

Creating a swap partition is just one side of the story
, it doesn't get auto enabled...
You need to set it up...

please guys i need help my mobile ram is too low
i mean its really low i cant free more than 50mb from 125 ram memory so i thought to use swap
but i think my kernel dosent support swap
so my questions now
how to know if my kernel support swap
i only have 2 kinds of memory internal < but i cant brows its only for data
and external my sd card
so i think im gonna need a new way of installing swapper

[Q] HELP ME : "Storage almost full"

Hi guys,
My phone has root, SD card is 8Gb has great partition 1Gb for ext3, up rom Sense 5 EX Build#6-V1 of …. or JaggyRom_3.2.1 … that is ok
But few days ago when I up rom sense 5 v3: notification when phone stated is “Storage almost full”. I check Internal Storage: available space is less than 1Mb. I can’t action anything on my phone except call & message. Available space of SD storage is no problem
The first, I think the reason by rom, but when I up any other rom, the problem is the same. I don’t know what to do
Pls help me!

You also need to install a memory script like mounts2sd or int2ext to make the phone move files from internal storage to the ext partition on sdcard. (Although newer ROMs come with built in support)
I assume you've already installed some such app, in which case you might have to configure it to move dalvik cache and data to external.

do this now..i think u hav ext partition...
u need to flash the rom again...but wipe evrything excpt sd card...n use memory scripts...

same problem
i m using flyrom v4.. i wanted data to b on internel memory so i moved cache to ext and have only 10 apps installed using mount2sd after restarting it shows in kbs

Restart your phone. Dont touch it for 15 mins. Let it load up and try again

[Q] courrpted sd card with swap partition

Hey guys...
Ahh its a bad day for me..
5 days back i have decided to create a swap file for the sake of increasing my RAM to get good performance. And i have done it with the app called,「SWAP IT EXPANDER」 and yes my phone was working like a charm everything was working super awesome..
But today suddenly my sd card was showing error of it is corrupted... i tried to fix it with pc by chkdisk cammand but unfortunatly it wasnt working..
Then i google it and find shocking answers that swaping stuff can degrade the sd card life...

And then i realised that i have lost my 16 gb class 10 sd card...
Is there any1 who can help me while fixing my card or let me know the safest method to create swap partition.. thanx to all in advance..

it is shocking dear. i have also created swap and having 1GB RAM in MMX110 using @saurabh0291
is it harmful to my internal sdcard.?

Yes bro it is defnetly.. u can google it too..
Swap file can easily corrupt the fat files from sd card... disapointed but true

Swap on SD card is harmfull like roehsoft RAM expander app.
And its mentioned on play store clearly that swap on SD will degrade the life of SD card.
So instead of making swap on SD u should make swap by turbo boost concept of xda senior member harbir and delta-roh so head over to my thread revised 1gb ram swap in my signature. U will feel fly

E.g. htc one v ....dont worry

i have created swap using your zip as you can see in my signature ya offcourse i am feeling fly but i think this swap is not created On external SDcard it is on internal sdcard.
if it is harmful than my A110 will be dead if internal SDcard will currupt.becoz we can't change it like external.
i want some knowledge of turbo boost concept so please give me some details (links) like how it works.

i am on 2.7 BB kernel and want to flash you script, you provided 3 links for different files, plz tell me which one i need to flash. Renamed name confuses me. thanks.
EDIT: i flashed with 3rd link and after restart everything laggy as hell but soon it all settle.
In terminal it show i have only 255 swap?

Apps for Swap never help much. I almost corrupted mine sd card too.
Instead of apps, flash the 1gb Ram mod or PMB v6 nitro x.
And I think your sd card is still in warranty since it has only been 2 years since the phone came out and Class 10 cards have around 5 year warranty. Get it replaced asap. Just don't baffle too much like how it happened. Just say that it stopped working. You'll get it replaced.
And next time flash mods instead of using apps.
