Where to get original logo.bin - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I've tried to change my logo.bin but i found some problems. I wanted to do this because i unlocked the bootloader and the silly warning is getting pretty annoying. I've used the "MGBootlogoFlasher" and made a logo.bin myself. But after flashing it i found out that i also have the moto g bootloader instead of the moto g 2015 bootloader. So i was wondering if this is a bad thing, but also if someone has a link for the original logo.bin and if i can get the original bootloader back somehow.

Already found the answer
I'm realy sorry for the silly post, minutes after i posted the thread i saw there's a thread specifically for the "bootloader unlocked" warning ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/themes-apps/remove-unlocke-bootloader-message-t3177801 ).
For those wondering what i did to flash it via PC and NOT with TWRP;
I downloaded the file from the sayed post. After that i extracted the file "logo.bin" from the zip file.
Than i went to my platform tools (on PC) and pasted the file there.
After that i pluged in my phone and opened cmd in platform tools (right click in platform tools folder and select ''open command prompt here")
After that i typed the command "adb devices" to check if my device was connected (make sure you have usb debugging on in developer options)
The command window should show a list of devices attached.
After that i typed "adb reboot bootloader"
And "fastboot devices" to check if the device was detected.
Now i typed "fastboot flash logo logo.bin"
And "fastboot reboot"
When this is done you should see the result which is the original boot logo and not the stupid warning.
Again sorry for the silly question when is just should've looked a little longer but i do hope these instructions will help anyone who can't flash via TWRP as wel.

will this work evn if the bootloader is unlocked on stock(phone is unrooted)?
please help!

Yes, of course it will work, these instructions are for phones that have the bootloader unlocked but have the silly bootloader unlocked warning.
Because the bootloader is unlocked you are able to make these commands that change files like for instance the recovery in your phone or the rom on your device. This means that no matter what kind of rom you have on your device, the trick wil work (unless your device is bricked) It also means that via this way you can flash roms, recoverys, kernels, etc. (but flashing those files recuires different commands)
Sorry for the late reply, I hope this will still help you. And if not, it might have given you some extra knowledge

[Q] Stuck on Google logo. Unable to push image file to phone... Please help.

Tried various possible solutions and still can't get past the Google logo. Installed adb and Samsung driver but when executing commands such as "abd remount" or "adb push file.zip \sdcard\" in cmd I get an error saying "device not found".
Does anyone know how I could resolve this issue?
I tried clearing the cache and wiping the data from the phone, and even heating the phone with a hair dryer. I'd very much appreciate any help.
looks like you still be able to get in reovery ? if so , then nothing you should worry , just flash a new ROM
Do you mean like a boot image or a recovery image?
If so then you need to put phone in fastboot mode, hold volume up and power til it comes up on screen, then on command prompt on your computer type in fastboot flash recovery xxxxxxx.img (xxxxx is the name of the file like cwm5.0.2.0.img or whatever)
That should give you a working recovery to flash roms from.
Is your boot loader unlocked?
If you wanna mount then just go to mounts and storage and mount USB storage and it will show up on your computer!

Thanks for your reply, seems to be hanging on waiting for device. Fastboot appears to be locked and it just hangs on "waiting for device" when I enter the command fastboot oem unlock... Not sure where to go from here.

Hmmm try going to cmd prompt and typing in adb devices, if you get nothing then your adb isn't set up properly and you need to go into setting and change the path on your computer.
I know the details are sketchy but gimme a min and I will find you a link

Find the Android sdk folder in your computer, move it to the root of C.
I don't think adb is where this guide says it is, there is a read me in the folder where it was saying it has moved to the platform tools folder.
So anyway find the path to the file and put it where the guide says and you should be on the ball.
Forget adb. You need to use fastboot.
Open a command prompt in the directory with fastboot or cd into it.
Put phone in fastboot mode.
On the command prompt type fastboot devices.
You will see your serial number. If you don't recheck and make sure you did everything. Sdk PDA drivers if need be etc.
Fastboot flash recovery custom recovery img name.img
Boot into recovery
Mounts and storage.
Mount SD card
Put a rom for you device on there.
Unmount
Wipe everything but sdcard from recovery.
Flash the rom by going to install zip from SD card......
Okay still stuck trying to connect to my phone. I haven't been able to get my serial number show when typing fastboot devices in cmd. adb is set up and seems to be working but the list of devices is blank when I type in adb devices. The phone was put into fastboot mode both times. I get <waiting for device> when I try
fastboot flash recovery clockwork-5.0.2-crespo.img
I think the bootloader may be locked as it does say LOCKED under lock state, which is probably the reason why I can't get the recovery image to work. I couldn't install PDANet as it wanted to connect to my phone while in debugging mode at the end of the installation. Would it be possible that fastboot oem unlock won't work with without having PDANet installed? I'd really appreciate any further help on this topic.
You need the drivers.

I have the Google USB driver package installed from SDK Manager. I had tried to install some other Samsung driver found on another post but it wouldn't install.
Turns out drivers weren't fully installed, managed to get PDANet installed and could connect to the phone with fastboot devices. Serial number was displayed in cmd. Only problems lies with unlocking the bootloader. fastboot oem unlock fails giving an error: too many links. Anyone have a solution to this?

Did you try booting into bootloader in the first place? Volume up+Power
Then you can use fastboot. Forget PDAnet. Just install SDK and ADB

Yeah I was in bootloader at the time, but I noticed that the Lock-State said locked. So I figured I must first use fastboot oem unlock. If I was to try flash with a stock recovery image would I still need to unlock the bootloader? Like I said I was able to use fastboot devices and get my phones serial number to show up, so I think SDK and ADB is properly installed, path set correctly etc.

I don't think you need to unlock the boot loader to flash a recovery image.
I may be wrong but I remember someone saying that once. I had mine unlocked before I had the chance to try it out. What happens when you type in fastboot oem unlock?

Thanks for your reply, I followed the steps just now and got the exact same error. Before I was trying fastboot oem unlock while in platform-tools but this time I had downloaded the nexussrootICS.zip file, and extracted it to the root of C. I tried fastboot devices and my serial shows up and after fastboot oem unlock I get "status read failed: too many links."
The only difference I seem to have is that in my device manager I have Android Device > ADB Interface, as opposed to SAMSUNG Android Device > ADB Interface.
Not a big difference but that's all I can think of.
the same issue for me. is there any working solution for that?
I recently had success in recovering from this issue.

Boot Loop

A few days ago I tried getting my phone to s-off using the "[how to] manually achieve s-off,simunlock,supercid for Inspire 4g/DHD" guide on the Android forums. (Sorry, I can't post direct links.)
I got to the part where I was supposed to type in "fastboot flash boot boot.img" to the command line but I accidentally skipped that part and typed in "fastboot boot recovery recovery.img". I stopped everything and tried to start over but when I turned my phone back on I was stuck in a boot loop. Going to hboot and trying to choose Recovery or Factory Reset only results in more boot looping.
I've tried putting PD98IMG.zip on the SD card and booting it, but it only reads it and says "Parsing..." before doing nothing. Attempting to enter recovery mode after this makes it enter the boot loop again.
I've also tried using the HTC Sense and RUU from AT&T on my computer to fix the issue. My phone can connect to my PC after choosing fastboot from the hboot menu. The RUU can see the device and it starts recovering it, as my phone shows a black background with HTC on it. But the RUU stops after trying to update the signature saying "The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again." I am 99% positive I am using the correct RUU.
I've searched high and low on the internet for a similar situation, but everyone else seems to have their problems solved using either of these steps. Thanks for any help.
Without knowing what you did (since you haven't given us a step-by-step and can't post links), we don't know how to help.
Sorry about that. I'll try to explain what I did the best I can.
Before using the guide, I managed to root my phone and used it for a few days, so everything was fine then. I later decided to s-off it so I could flash a custom ROM to it. Using the guide I mentioned above, I created a mini-adb directory in my C: drive with the ace-tools.zip that I downloaded. Using the command line I copied my stock boot image, though to where I do not know. (I feel like a fool for doing all this without being sure of what I was doing exactly. I deserve what came to me.) Then, using the command line I made my SD card a gold card. After that I changed the "misc version" (?) to allow installation of the downgrade firmware, and then relocked the boot loader and booted back into fastboot. Then I flashed the downgrade software and unlocked it again. It's here that my phone was supposed to be unable to boot, and I was supposed to flash the boot image but skipped that step.
Now I'm unsure of what I have to do, and I only want to get my device working again.
I wish I could post the link to the exact topic, but since I can't I guess you'd have to search the topic name to see exactly what the directions were trying to get me to do.
Thanks again.
Can you boot the phone into fastboot and flash the boot.img from fastboot?
No, with the PD98IMG.zip file it simply says "Parsing..." and stops there. With any other boot image it doesn't acknowledge it at all. Even though the computer makes the sound that it's connected to the device when it's in fastboot, adb can't recognize that's it's there in the command line.

Wait. What? Not PD98IMG.zip from hboot. Extract the boot.img and flash from fastboot, not adb.
Ah, thanks for the clarification. I'm supposed to extract the boot.img to the SD card and enter fastboot on my phone, correct? Because I've just done so and nothing happened. I have the options Bootloader, Reboot, Reboot Bootloader, and Power Down, and the Bootloader option only takes me back to the hboot screen.
Sorry if I've misunderstood you.

No, the boot.img needs to be on your computer. Your phone needs to be in fastboot mode. From the folder where the boot.img is saved,
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
I can't use the command prompt to connect with the device because it can't see it. I always get an "error: device not found" instead.
Is your phone in fastboot mode?
Yes. It's odd: the RUU software identifies it and knows it's there, but can't actually fix the issue. The command prompt just doesn't notice it at all.

So you're booting into hboot, navigating to fastboot with the volume buttons, and selecting it with the power button? What does fastboot devices say?
I'm assuming by "fastboot devices" you mean what it says in the command prompt.
...Well what do you know, it recognized it. I was typing in "adb devices" instead of "fastboot devices". So it can recognize it after all.
I'm assuming I have to load the boot.img now?
Hey hey, wa-hey!
That was much easier than I thought it would be! A simple "fastboot flash boot boot.img" followed by a fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" using some image files I made before messing everything up did the trick. Thank god I did so.
Everything's back to normal; my phone escaped the boot loop. And last but not least, I don't have to buy a new phone.
Thanks so much for helping me out, even if it was clearing a few things up for me. I appreciate it.

You're welcome. You could also have fastboot flashed any custom recovery image, flashed a ROM from recovery, and fastboot flashed that ROM's boot.img. So you weren't too badly off.

Flashed stock recovery and thought I soft bricked my shield tablet.

First I'll give credit where it is due. From two threads on this site is where I got help with this issue:
I followed THIS guys steps for manually erasing and got the recovery images and lots of other useful information from HERE. Thank you guys very much!
OK, so, hopefully I can help someone with my little story as well. I was having issues with apps and programs crashing on me with lollipop and the new marshmallow update. The tablet just wasn't working properly and moving slow. I even had the SD card holding all my apps and larger files so I didn't overload the internal storage. So, I decided I wanted to flash back to factory/stock recovery and go from there. I did this using THIS method. I flashed via the "flash-all.bat" file (the command in fastboot is the same as the file name). I should note that there was one instance that failed during the install (I did try it again and got the same failure). Said something about “did you mean you wanted to flash this partition” or something, then showed it failed. After flashing I hit continue on the bootloader screen of the tablet and it said it was "cold booting." After about 5 minutes or so it started to boot but never made it past the NVidia screen. I tried wiping the phone with factory reset, wiping the cache, etc. and then re-flashing the recovery (again with the .bat file). I tried flashing TWRP but it didn't install apparently, because it still went to factory recovery. I even re-locked and then unlocked my bootloader to see if that would set everything straight. Nothing seemed to work. I knew I would eventually find a solution though so I kept looking. Stumbled on some other people that had the same issues but no solution (hope those people got it figured out). So here's what I did after some more research:
First, if you're in this situation and you did factory reset to try and resolve the problem, you may feel like you can no longer communicate with the device via fastboot/adb, but as long as you have the usb drive and your SDK tools installed (I used CodeWorks for Android all-in-one program) that shouldn't be a problem. You'll just have to be in the bootloader on the tablet.
-If for some reason you deleted or uninstalled your drivers and tools you'll have to download them again and then, the computer should still be able to communicate with the tablet. In the device manager under portable devices it will still show up as Module something or other. So the computer still sees the device but doesn't fully recognize it yet. Don't worry, this should still work! Just make sure you that fastboot is seeing the device by inputting "fastboot devices" in the command window and a 14 digit serial number should pop up. If it just says "list of devices" or there's nothing then you wont be communicating with the tablet.
Your device should be connected to your computer and started in bootloader mode. On your computer you should have the command prompt for adb/fastboot open. I just go to the folder where the .exe files are located and hold shift and right click in the white space of the folder, then select "open command window here."
From here follow the erase steps: stolen from manigault! :highfive:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase cache
Then flash your recovery MANUALLY:
fastboot flash recovery {dir}/recovery.img
fastboot flash boot {dir}/boot.img
fastboot flash system {dir}/system.img
fastboot flash userdata {dir}/userdata.img
fastboot flash staging {dir}/blob
fastboot flash dtb {dir}/tegra124-tn8-p1761-1270-a04-e-battery.dtb
You can download whatever recovery version you wish. I downloaded 2.2.2 because that's what my device came with out of the box on Christmas 2014. It will more then likely be a .zip file. To make this whole process a little easier simply extract the files in the .zip file where the adb.exe and fastboot.exe files are located (folder should be named platform-tools) and you can completely eliminate typing the whole directory before the file name. ***After your done flashing everything you can go back and delete those files if you want. Just double check that you're deleting the right files by looking at the original zip file. Not sure if it makes a difference but I deleted them anyway.
For example the commands in fastboot will look like this exactly :
(after extracting recovery files into platform-tools folder)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot flash staging blob
fastboot flash dtb tegra124-tn8-p1761-1270-a04-e-battery.dtb
Note: Do NOT use the flash-all.bat command as this doesn't seem to work for this situation. Do it manually like shown above. And let each individual process complete before attempting to input another command.
After this step I didn't select continue on the bootloader. You can either select reboot or simply input "fastboot reboot" into the command window. It may take about 5 minutes to start installing everything but just be patient, it should start. Sometimes with these things you have to do things twice before it works. If for some reason it doesn't work the first time then start from the beginning and try it again. It took two times for me, but that's because I installed system.img twice and was getting double screen. Newb error... and I was a bit inebriated last night when I did this.
Hope this helps someone!
Thanks again to manigault and MidgetMob!

i think i done the same thing
but the problem i now have is i cnt get tablet into fastboot on pc. i can load fastboot on tablet with power and volume down , but the tablet only shows as MTP device in device manager. i have downloaded drivers from nvidia and no matter what i try i cant install them i have been through all instructions but scince it went to mtp device i cant get device showing in adb. The only way i can get device showing in adb on pc ist to select apply update from adb ! but none of these commands listed in your post will work because its in sideload. is there anyway i cn reset , flash custom rom ect bu using commands while device is in adb sideload.
all i get is now send the package you want to apply to the device with "adb sideload <filename>".....
if you could shed any light on this it would be much appreciated , thanks , lester
did you update official android 6.0 before? then, not working stock recovery, stock boot...
If you can enter bootloader mode, download unofficial twrp 3.0.0.0 (here http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tablet/development/wip-twrp-2-8-0-1-unofficial-t2877117) and flash it.
i have a working boot.img file on marshmallow if you want.. please reply.
Sorry for the late response! I have no clue how you got into sideload??? Are you talking about through the recovery on your device? You're not able to get adb/ fastboot to recognize the device, right? It doesn't matter how you get the tablet into the bootloader. Whenever you have the phone in the bootloader then you'll use the fastboot command to "talk to" the device; i.e. "fastboot devices" without the quotes. That command should show your device if it shows as an MTP device whenever you open your "device manager" in windows. That's the same exact situation I was in. Download the codeworks from nvidia like I linked above. Hopefully then you should be able to recognize your device through the bootloader. If not DM me and I'll try to help you.
I'm having the exact problem as Lester. Tablet boots into bootloader but won't connect to computer. So I go into recovery mode and nothing works except apply update from adb. Which brings up the side load message that Lester quoted. And bootloader is showing "device=locked". I am attempting to fix this tablet for a friend that messed it up trying to flash a custom rom. Problem is he had no idea what he was doing and I'm not exactly sure what he did. I do however have a lot of experience with rooted android devices and flashing so any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
---------- Post added at 05:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:55 PM ----------
Also, I've already tried flashing stock rom back onto the tablet by applying update from sd card function in the recovery but when I try to do that the tablet for some reason can't mount the sd card.

If you've got the device in bootloader then you need to use fastboot, not adb. Try the command 'fastboot devices' and see if the device id is listed. If so then grab a factory image, unzip it and use fastboot to flash the .img files using the commands 'fastboot flash system system.img'. Just make sure to match the partition names to the files.
Hello i have similar issue except when i try flash something i get this error ''remote: file write failed''

Trying to flash TRWP Moto Z recovery - not working

Hey everyone, longtime lurker here finally going to try to get involved more since I just got a new Moto Z and I don't have much of a background with motorola hardware/software. I'm trying to flash recoveries through fastboot and I can't seem to get it working. I'm probably going to wait a while before I try again since there is not much support for the moto z yet. I am running MPL24.246-45 v6.0.1 XT1650-03, I have unlocked the bootloader through the instructions on the motorola website.
On the bootloader screen I can confirm it is now unlocked, but everytime I flash the TRWP recovery through fastboot I get the error message: "<bootloader> img not working or corrupt". I am trying to flash the most recent twrp recoveries for moto Z (twrp-3.0.2-0-griffin.img) but wasn't able to successfully flash it.
Coming from a samsung background, I might be skipping a step or doing something wrong. I am running the bell canadian firmware. Since I messed up my partitions on my last phone I want to be careful with this one, I mostly want to figure out why I am getting this error while trying to flash the recovery when
my bootloader is unlocked and when I check "adb devices" my moto is being read.
Thanks!!

I've tried both with the original twrp name and extension as well as with renaming it to recovery.img, didn't seem to make a difference. If I am connection to the device itself does that mean that adb/sideload is installed properly? I mean I was able to unlocked the bootloader so I would assume so.

i really don't know then.. if you successfully unlocked bootloader then fastboot should be ok. you can check in device manager. it should be bootloader iterface not adb interface there (you got me confused with mentioning adb so I am just writing to be sure).
also check if your device is shown when typing
Code:

otherwise I am out of ideas, sorry.

i really don't know then.. if you successfully unlocked bootloader then fastboot should be ok. you can check in device manager. it should be bootloader iterface not adb interface there (you got me confused with mentioning adb so I am just writing to be sure).
also check if your device is shown when typing
Code:
fastboot devices
or try redownloading twrp.

Sorry for my confusion with adb/sideload - from what I understand I need both to be able to connect to my device (correct me if im wrong). In the bootloader menu I see "flashing_unlocked" which I believe confirms my bootloader being unlocked, but then at the top of the text right under the dead android guy I see "AP Fastboot Flash Mode (Secure)" could that be an issue?
I can retry downloading the recovery from the TWRP site, but I know I'm downloading the official one already, just can't put my finger on why I'm getting that error message if others are doing it successfully.
thanks for helping :good:

You're at the bootloader, it says Flashing Unlock so yes your bootloader is unlocked and you should be able to flash TWRP no problem.
Did you recently install this .45 firmware? Are you sure that TWRP wasnt actually flashed? I see lots of errors like this from the bootloader and its usually just rubbish.
The twrp does not show the actual memory value of my cell phone and does not let me paste ROM backup, from insufficient memory? how to support it?
I updated my phone to .45 when I bought the phone I believe 1-2 weeks ago, it's definitely NOT flashed as the flashing process runs for 0.2 seconds and fails. I can even boot in the stock recovery afterwards confirming that nothing flashed. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong? possibility of drivers not installed properly?
Before I try and flash recovery I check USB debugging, OEM is unlocked, don't verify ADB files and accept Unknown sources. Is there anything I'm missing?
What if fastboot boot twrpname.img
It's really weird anyway...

I've been doing fastboot flash twrpname.img after opening cmd terminal with SHIFT-MOUSE2 in the designated folder. I have not tried that command specifically what's the difference between doing fastboot flash/boot as far as flashing a recovery.img
edit: I've read on different articles that people sometimes try and flash from the recovery menu? I understood it has to be while your are on the bootloader screen, could it be something to do with that? Or is it still a possibility the drivers may not be installed properly.

With fastboot boot you send recovery to your phone and ask it to boot on it without really flashing it...
It's useful e.g. to take a full stock backup including original recovery, to test a recovery prior to flash it or to use TWRP to root BUT remain on stock recovery...
Not on all phones it works, but on Moto Z should....
P.S.: you have to be on fastboot screen not on recovery when flashing...

by fastboot screen you mean the bootloader menu right?
I've been accessing cmd from designated folder with .img file in it
- adb fastboot recovery
- fastboot flash recovery.img..
and I get the "img not working or corrupt" after it tries to flash it (lasts 0.2 seconds) and nothing is done.

Right, bootloader screen. Enter on it by key-comb... not by command...
Even the real flash take same time... Sending seems to work, is something on verify that doesn't "like" it...
Try to download again recovery and/or check its MD5...
if reading correctly (and what I told you yesterday) command is
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
and not
fastboot flash recovery.img

try following this instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69065373&postcount=14
and download eu rom from here: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/griffin/official/RETEU/
i don't know from which ROM you are coming, don't know if downgrading works, but this was onl RETEU ROM i could find.
I have the exact same phone and I've upgraded to Nougat but I got my TWRP working. You need an unlocked bootloader and after upgrading to nougat, the option "unlock OEM" need to be enabled again.
I've used this TWRP : https://dl.twrp.me/griffin/twrp-3.0.2-0-griffin.img.html
Also I tried to only boot on it at first with the command fastboot boot twrp.img then I saw it was working, I flashed it with fastboot flash recovery twrp.img but got the error : (bootloader) image not signed or corrupt . But I booted the recovery from the bootloader and TWRP was working even with this error.

Yeessss... I don't know how could I forgot it!!! :silly:
The message (I forgot I received too...) is *only* to indicate that recovery is not signed! But before there is a clear "Done" confirming the flash!
Just boot on it!

flashing pixel 2 without usb debugging

Hey guys, I need help flashing my Google pixel 2. It was off for a couple of months and now when I am trying to start it, its not booting without putting it on charge and even then it only shows the battery icon then the google icon and restarts (So a bootloop). But when I press and hold the power button and volume down key, it goes in the fastboot mode ( the one where all device information is shown with an Android Logo) (Pic att).
If I select Download mode, it just shows operation denied and if I select recovery mode then it goes to bootloop again. Also as far as I remember when I last used the phone, the usb debugging was turned off so please suggest what to do from here.
If you have USB debugging disabled with OEM unlocking off there's not much you can do. That's why I usually suggest if you're going to relock your bootloader keep oem unlocking enabled so you can flash the factory image if you run into problems. this has saved me a few times.
try downloading the platform tools and usb driver and running the unlock command, what message do you get? The first command you want to run is ADB devices to make sure that your device appears in the list and the command prompt. second command to run is fastboot reboot bootloader , If your phone restarts back into bootloader then you know you have the driver and fastboot /ADB installed and working properly. then go to the Android developer page and find the proper unlock fast boot command I think there's a different one for the Pixel 2.

Hey thanks for the update man. I know I should have kept atleast oem unlocking enabled. My fault.
Now I followed your instructions and the phone only shows under fastboot devices. But when I run ADB devices it comes as blank under list of devices attached. I still tried the fastboot reboot bootloader command but the phone just restarts with the battery charging icon flashing on screen and then going back into the fastboot mode. (pic of which I attached in the original post).
Any other ideas would be appreciated, else ill just take it to a service centre.

Mine shows blank also when running the devices command.
If you can run commands like "fastboot reboot bootloader" or "fastboot reboot recovery" etc and the device restarts, then platform-tools and driver is installed. I mean make sure you have the latest versions of both or else there's no point on going any further. An older version platform-tools will cause a bunch off issues so update that for sure.
what happens when you run any of these commands when your in the bootlaoder menu (where it says Fastboot and device state: locked) (after you've updated platform-tools, check the version by typing the command " fastboot --version" - 31.0.3 is the latest version)
fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
fastboot oem unlock
If you can unlock your device, you can flash recovery/bootloader image and go from there. But it doesn't look good.

Unfortunately none of these commands are working and yes I have the latest platform tools and drivers installed. Attaching image of the same.

yeah, it means the oem unlocking option is disabled in developer options. damn.
can you try logging into recover menu at all so you can update both boot slots A/B with the ota using adb update option in the recovery menu.
What about running a few fastboot commands to delete userdata and even switch boot slots. that Fastboot screen will show what slot you are booted in (either a or b). try switching slots and booting then?
fastboot --set-active=a (if you are in Slot-B)
fastboot --set-active=b (if you are in Slot-A)
After swithing slots, hit restart device and as soon as you see the Google Logo, hold volume down. If you can boot into Android, enable oem unlocking as soon as you can, don't even connect to wifi or whatever. Or try accessing Recovery mode after switching slots. Main goal is to try to access recovery to update ota and/or access Android to enable oem unlocking.
have you looked on xda for other fastboot commands to try? There's a few Unbrick posts on the Pixel subs - worth a try?
edit-- sorry, I deleted some of my comment by mistake, had to rewrite it/

Okay so I tried switching slots. Currently active slot is A but it again shows error that slot chage is not allowed in locked state. Well was worth a try.
I tried almost everything to get into recovery menu as per my knowledge but cant. It just restarts back into the fastboot state or goes into bootloop.
I did a bit of searching before creating this thread but didnt found anything. Ill try again and see if someone has something similar.

download the full factory image (not ota) and extract it, and move the radio and bootloader images into platform tools folder and try flashing? But don't think you can.
Also, maybe try installing Skipsoft and see what commands you can execute from there? https://skipsoft.net/download/unified-android-toolkit-v1-7-2/
it supports the Pixel 2.
Not sure how the op in that thread above fixed his Pixel 2 with Skipsoft tool. His Device state said Locked in his screenshot on his post.
Also try draining the battery and see if it will boot into Recovery Mode at all. And check the other Pixel threads (like Pixel 3 XL) there's a few unbrick posts there also.
edit--try these commands
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase data
fastboot erase cache
