[Q] Can't send SMS?

On CM 10.2 9.27 nightly since this morning. Didn't have any issues all day til about an hour ago or so. Flashed 9.26 & 9.25 - didn't fix the issue. I can receive SMS, data works, etc. Should I just assume it is some sort of Verizon issue at this point? Thanks!

Is ur MEID AND IMEI in tack match the numbers back of ur battery .. I had the same problem in pacman my easy fix was to go back to liquidsmoooth.. before i changed roms i did wipe catche dalvik factory reset

Are they supposed to be the same number.
IMEI matches up on the back of the phone.

Dnt post ur info lol from my experience after hrs of trying to figure it out i concluded screw it factory reset go back to the previous rom n restore back up if this ur first from go to a different rom/gaaps if everythin works well then either stick with that for now or till someone with more experience knowledge then us come around

Make sure u have MF1 modem and unlock bootloader and instead of unofficial nightlies try an official release if that dnt work then try a different AOSP rom

Still doesn't work this morning. Going to wipe and try 10.1.3 here shortly.

Well I figured it out. My own mistake and I kept doing it everytime I flashed a new version, which is why it worked at first, but not after I got all the apps installed.
Enabled Voice + from CM. Took away the ability to send out SMS. All good now. So far. Thanks!

No Data/Calls on Viper 1.5

I have the weirdest issue, I searched around and have found no topics on so here it goes. Every time I try to install Viper 1.5 on the Verizon m8, Everything tells me it worked, then as I'm setting up the phone I don't have any Carrier calling/data. After setup is complete I still don't have any Carrier calling/data. Occasionally a message box appears saying sim is prepared and then I click on my carrier (Verizon) and the screen goes blank and repeats. Everything else on the rom works great! But I can't get my carrier data/calls! I've redownloaded, wiped, and re installed over and over! Hope I can get some help!

Try reflashing TRWP newest version. I had the same issue too and this fixed it for me.

Yep, I fixed it, thanks guys. I was mistakenly using the wrong twrp version and it was flashing the viper gsm version of the rom!

[Q] Any Working NFC ROM?

Does anyone know if there is a rom with working NFC? Ive tried alot of them and cant find one. CM11 seems to be the culprit. Any suggestions from experience?
Need it for my wallet app.

im on cm11 and have been since day 1, cm10 before that. i use nfc everyday. works perfectly. maybe its your rom? try redownloading the rom and correct gapps? might help

Ive tried differnt roms with 2 different batteries and nothing works... They are both factory batts. How can i diagnose the issue?

if you flash back to stock or a stock rom does it work? if not maybe its something deaper (not sure what tho) have you tryed a FULL wipe before flash? if im having problems sometimes ill wipe like 3 times (i doubt its necessary but it makes me feel good and usually works) try that and maybe someone else here might have abetter idea whats going on. what gapps are you using? are you making sure the md5 checksums or sha-1 values mach up on the rom and the gapps? what recovery are you using?

I do the 3 wipe when i load a rom. I have not gone to stock yet...
I do check the MD5. Kinda at a loss here. The NFC check app sees is and says its working. IDK...
Ill check with a factory image.

just make sure you flash a stock 4.1.2 rom and not a 4.3 + rom or youll be stuck with a locked bootloader! noone needs one of those!

Well... I seem to have it working... I forgot that my computer has NFC... SO i tested a file trans and it worked.
The issue started today when i attempted to use my google wallet at 2 seperate locations. Neither worked for me. I just flashed a new rom after i got home so hopefully that does it.

Google wallet not working is thanks to verizon. For some it may work but for most it doesn't work

Ringtones,notification,music and some gallery albums are missing

Hey guys, I'm having a problem here.two days ago I had a problem with my play store which would not open, so I thought of flashing my ROM and gapps again in hopes of getting the problem solved. I wiped my cache partitions along with my system partition and flashed it, everything went well, play store started working again but this time I got a couple of different problems. My ringtones and notification tones are missing, when I click on the options for changing them there's just one option (none). My music player can't read any music files, even though I have many of them. And gallery has some albums missing. I was on cm12.1 and I flashed to liquid smooth v4.1 in hopes of fixing the problem. But the problem still persists, what should I do to fix it. Please help me on this one.

What version of the phone do you have? Also which gapps did you flash?

Well Im using note 3 sm n9005 the international version. And the gapps I downloaded it from highonandroid.com, max lee's site. I'll attach the screen shots.

The playstore problem for sure.
Maybe you can consider updating your bootloader and modem to the latest version if that does not help.

Well i flashed it all again with the gapps package you told me. The problem still persists. Upgrading the bootloader and modem...how do i do that ? Im new in all this rooting and flashing.and yeah i read some forums on this issue and i read that restoring an old nandroid backup might solve the problem. What do you say, should i try doing that?? And yeah one more thing, do you think that some how a rom can slow up the cellular data speed?? Cuz i think after installing liquidsmooth my data is kinda slow even on lte.

Hmm i don't know that for sure,i only knoe that on some rom's my wifi works better or worse
About your problem : i never had this kind of problems,i had a google play problem once,but after reinstalling gapps it was gone,although im on the latest bootloader and modem : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347759102
I can't find my guide for flashing it so i can explain a bit :
-Download odin 3.09 on your computer
-unzip modem.zip
-shut down your phone and pull the battery out
- in odin untick auto reboot
- put the battery back in and go straight to download mode ( home,power and vol up i think,if not that vol down ^^ )
- in odin put the modem file in the 'cp' slot or what so called ( it should be cp but better look it up )
-Start flashing and wait untill it's finished ( green button lights up )
-Then reboot your phone and under phone info it should be allright.

Yes it is. Resurrection Remix,Blisspop,CM12 by temasek,euphoria os,AICP and liqiudsmooth are all aosp,in the threads of the rom there usually is an indicator of that the rom is like. Touchwiz roms for examble are often more than 1gb files where aosp are only 200-300mb. But the battery on touchwiz for me often is a ton better.

Ok...well i figured out that the cellular speed issue isdue to the Carrier server problems.so flashing the modem is not necessary i guess? My current baseband version is N9005XXUGNG1. And just out of curiosity, say i flashed the arter kernel and later on for some reason i want to change the rom like i go to cm12.1. The kernel version will change automatically right?

Yes it will. Apparently you have a kitkat modem and bootloader but that SHOULDN'T cause problems,although it can. I can't tell i am flashing newest bootloader and modem every time one comes out.

I don't know exactly cause i only flash through Odin on my PC. But it's the easiest way i know.

Gapps on Stock ROM

Hi Experts,
I am using the Chinese variant of Honor 6X which came without Google preinstalled on it. Eventually I was able to get this working with manually installing the Google core apps and play store on MM version.
Currently I am on B375 version/Nougat.
Recently, I thought of complete factory reset and then installing gapps. In TWRP, I did complete factory reset. Booted fine to system, reboot to recovery and flashed Micro gapps 7.0 for ARM 64 and booted fine but it was complete black screen on system. When pressed home key, no action (it was giving me a cross symbol that we get while clearing recent apps), back navigation key was not working either but only recent app key was working fine. Once I click on the app from this recent app menu, I was able to open the apps, settings etc but no luck from home screen and I could only launched apps which were in recent app memory.
am I doing anything wrong here or Gapps are not supported with Stock EMUI? Was able to get this done on my Honor 5X phone but not on Kirin.
Any advice?

I've seen similar issues here on the forum with Chinese galaxy s7, someone said something about PIT file difference between Chinese and other phones.
He tried pico gapps and he reported that it worked
