I've been updating Cyanogenmod with the Nightlies. Since the March updates, I've not been able to install gapps, even with the newest version. I've Googled on this, and I've tried everything I could find. I've made sure I had the latest version of gapps, I've wiped the cache and the Dalvik cache, and I've mounted the system partition before installing the zip. I've even done a factory reset. At one point, I was so far gone with all the different things I was trying that I had to revert back to a stock setup.
When I install the gapps zip file in Clockworkmod, everything looks fine. No errors or anything. It goes through the install process, and it completes, but when I reboot, I have no Google Apps installed.
I have a 4g Xoom (Verizon).
The different CWM versions I've had this issue with have been:
cm-10.1-20130309-NIGHTLY-stingray.zip
cm-10.1-20130311-NIGHTLY-stingray.zip
cm-10.1-20130315-NIGHTLY-stingray.zip
The latest gapps version I've been trying to install is:
gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
Thank you.
I have xoom wifi. the version of gapps I have is:
gapps-unified-jb-20130220-signed.zip
it should be somewhere in the portal as that's where I downloaded from. see it may work for you too.

Not sure if this is an option for you, but have you tried running gapps-jb-20130105-EOS-XOOM-ONLY.zip?

I did try this, just for the sake of trying something as I am having the same issues as the OP.
I flashed the latest nightly cm-10.1-20130330-NIGHTLY-stingray.zip on my Xoom and then tried the EOS version of GApps. It just bootlooped numerous times. I flashed the ROM, then flashed GApps. I cleared cache/data/dalvik with no luck, it just brought me back to recovery.
Any ideas? I know it is a nightly, so I am not too worried about it. I am just playing around.
You should try the new unified gapps for Cm, the link is listed in the OP of the cm 10.1 thread. Also, if you are using cwm recovery, try twrp. Your recovery could be causing issues
Sent from my Xoom using xda premium
Thanks! I will give that a try when I get home. Went straight to the CyanogenMod site to get GApps so I missed that.
Well, I made a very simple mistake. I only read the directions partially, assuming everything would work like flashing my phone or Nexus 7. I wiped data, wiped dalvik, installed the ROM and then installed GApps. I booted my Xoom and of coarse, even with the unified version of GApps, it still did not work.
I repeated the process but did not install GApps. I let the device boot and then went back in to recovery. I flashed GApps and rebooted and it works perfectly. I did not try another version of GApps this time.
Lesson learned.

Download Google appstore zip file by itself.. After flashing gapps, flash the appstore by itself as well.. Worked for me
Latest Nightly issue Camera+Gallery
I'm using the 20130609 nightly in my Everest, but re-flashing the Unified Apps from CM 10.1 official thread doesn't work. On the 20130601 nightly it works like a charm!.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.s: As an advice, I tried formatting system partition in CWM, reinstall nightly and gapps. All works fine now!
I have a TF101 and finally decided to root and install the JB ROM. I started with EOS JDQ39 Nightly 108 and gapps_4.2.2_TF101_20130323b. This worked fine but when I updated to the nightly 111 I noticed that I Google play was not working. I would click on the app and it would start to load but disappear. It appears that I am not logged in anymore because gmail does not work either. I have tried to delete data from the gmail app and google play store from settings but the did not work. I have tried installing gapps again. Does not work. I tried another gapps, gapps-jb-20130301-signed and that just freezes my tablet on the EeePad screen.
Any ideas on how to get signed in on the tablet without a factory reset?
Go to recovery
Clear Cache
Clear Davlik Cache
Install Gapps again..
Gapps has to be installed after every ROM update..
Hi, I confirm this worked for me! Thanks

Glad it worked. You should do that everytime you update your ROM.
Finally loaded cm 10.1.3 but now I think I loaded the wrong gaps..my asop keyboard keeps crashing and it only started after I installed it. I tried wiping and it's still doing it. Can I delete the gapps somehow?

Which gapps do you have installed? Have you tried clearing data for the keyboard? If you are against wiping and starting over again, then your best bet may be to try deleting the individual Google apps from /system with a file explorer or Titanium Backup then flash the right gapps. You may be able to dirty flash the proper gapps package, may work or it may not.
Failing that, you could wipe data and flash CM and the proper gapps package.
I have a Moto G 2013 Edition XT1032 Single Sim (not LTG or 2014). I previously had C-ROM perfectly running on the device, but wanted to try some other roms. In the process, I deleted everything, but got it running again with the stock firmware I needed to install the new rom I want, so it worked out., but not fully. After installing it (the rom was the OneRom, the OnePlus One experience), the audio was messing everything up and decided to go and remove it by wiping the device and than installing the CM11 most recent nightly rom (11/12/14) and it worked fine and I was happy, until I rebooted and than found "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped". This one little message is truly frustrating me, because everyone has fixes, but none of them work for me!
(/+ = with and without)
I've tried:
-Factory Reset
-Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache
-Tried Fix Permissions on TWRP
-Tried CWM (sorry if I can't remember the version).
-Re-Installing CM-11
-Tried Installing CM-11 Unofficial M9 and M11.
-Tried Installing EHNDROIX_V_14.10.14/ + Ehndroixgapps 4.4.4 20141011
-Tried Installing DU_falcon_4.4.4_20140821 v.7.9 (Dirty Unicorn)/ + Gapps 4.4.4
-Tried Installing C-ROM
-Tried doing what I previously did and wiping the device to stock 4.3 from Telus and trying everything again.
Fixes that didn't work:
Changing Run-time from ART to Dalvik (I don't have Flipboard and when I went to change it while the error continuously appeared, it said it was already on Dalvik)
Deleting Xposed (I never had it)
Going to SystemUI and clearing Cache (clearing cache option was not available)
...guys, I tried everything I could find by myself, but they either don't apply to me or they don't work. I need help. The reason I typed out the thread was because, even though there are threads on the subject, none of them work or apply to the situation. I don't have the apps, the Runtime is on Dalvik, I tried different versions, I tried to wipe and re-install, tried different recoveries, and I tried everything else I could find. Nothing worked. I need help!!!
correction: I found that wiping the phone and installing C-Rom with gapps works fine for now. I just really would like to use CM-11 and other ones like it without the SystemUI stopping. It's only with the following roms I've tried when I've seen the problem :
-CM-11 Nightly_11-12-14 and Unofficial M9 and M11.
-EHNDROIX_V_14.10.14/ + Ehndroixgapps 4.4.4 20141011
-DU_falcon_4.4.4_20140821 v.7.9 (Dirty Unicorn)/ + Gapps 4.4.4
C-Rom is the only one working right now without crashing, but I just came from the rom and I don't want to go back. If there's any way I could get any of the CM-11'S working or ENDROIX working, it would be heaven. Someone please help me!
I need to send my Nexus 6 in for a warranty replacement so I need to run my GS3 for a few days. It's been a while since I've used my GS3 so I wanted to get it all up-to-date first. I went and downloaded the latest nightly of CM12.1 and the "stock" TK Gapps.
I did a clean flash (factory reset, format system, flash ROM, flash Gapps) and when it boots up I get constant "______ has stopped" messages from all the google stuff. After I press "OK" as fast as I can for a minute I can get to the home screen, where I can see that all of the google app icons just show the little android guy (indicating it's not installed) and when I select any of them it tells me that the app is not installed.
I tried clearing cache and dalvik and that didn't work. I tried re-flashing from scratch and that didn't work. I tried the pico TK Gapps and that didn't work. I tried the stock and pico Open Gapps and that didn't work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but no matter what I try the result is always the same.
One time, just as a sanity check, I flashed just the ROM and no Gapps and that worked fine. Not sure what that tells me but just something to note.
Please help.
I was also forced to do a clean flash of CM 12.1 + gapps recently. This gapps file worked for me: highonandroid.com/download-android-5-1-lollipop-gapps/ (I can't post a link since I'm new).
One issue: apparently it requires flashing with a recent version of TWRP recovery. Doing it with CWN or a old TWRP will return an error. Hope this helps.
