Adware and infected htc desire 526 g plus
Guys I am in a pickle!
I want to wipe my HTC desire 526 plus clean of malware that is causing it to download unwanted apps without consent. The malware seems capable of modifying the inherent permissions and bypassing all security features.
I am unable to gain root access by kingoroot alone. adware is not letting me update the Superuser app and being nasty on purpose.
It can gain permission to automatically start wifi, gain pemission to install 'Unknown Apps' and sends location and data with impunity. The ads are everywhere.
I have tried stock backup but it still reinstalls all the malware and the same cycle begins again. What I want is a freash stock rom/nand backup for this menace. Surprisingly I still cant find one link on the world wide web. Please Help me find it.

optimus t android questions

I just signed up with tmobile and got a Optimus t for free. My last phone was a blackjack 2 so this is a big upgrade for me. I've been reading all the android hacking threads. There was a couple things I couldn't quite figure out.
1. I'll install z4root and root the device. Do I need any other software to remove the pre installed junk from t mobile?
2. I may want to add some roms or change the kernel. What program do I use for backing up my device?
Thanks

welcome to android you will notice a big difference in software and customizability. but i digress . to awnser your question once rootrd you can remove all those pesky junk apps as i think of them such as kindle and blockbuster my solution was root uninstaller but first you will need superuser permissions one suggestion is to get rom mannager from the market and once installed in the rom manager app run whats called fix permissions should just be just a click away the phone will run script for about five minutes while it frees up the permissions by granting all apps super user permissions then once that has happined you can go into the root uninstaller aplication and get rid of that stock junk (note this is without running custom rom seeing as i encountered the same problem due to i recently got the cliq2 and so far cannot run custom rom as of yet to my knowllege)

Rooted Sensation 4G Question

i have a sensation 4G on Tmo US, ICS 4.0.3, Stock Rom, S-off, Rooted, Unlocked, etc.
and my question here is:
I want to know if there's a way or ways to make a Rooted phone more secure? or less vulnerable?
like from apps or attacks or spyware or push ads?
is a rooted phone as secure as a Unrooted stock phone? or less secure?
how can i fix or improve my security on my phone besides antivirus and stuff like that? i already have AVAST installed even with anti theft, but my main concern here is the actual structural inside of the phone, like apps that i dont authorized maybe getting access or gaining root access without my permission.
can any one clear this out for me?
thanks in advanced
When an app needs root permission there will be dialog that tells you the app name and you can choose to grant or deny root. I am pretty sure that's the only way an app can get root access.

You could install miui, it has a feature to disable root access even tho your rooted.

The ONLY way a application can get root access is if YOU allow it. I wouldn't turn off root access as suggested above . Root access is for your safety granting our deny applications as you see fit. If it is denied it will NOT gain root access on its own. The control is all yours .....you make the decision on what gains root and what does not. Hope this helps. Best wishes .

Adware problem even after rooting

I have rooted my device and deleted some adware virus but i can't remove it fully. some apps like BCCcutedrivers, coolactivesticks, if i delete these apps its instantly installing again and on every reboot apps like 360 security, mobiquick, wifi key master keep installing even when mobile data is off .. How do i find the source of these apps ? And remove it permanently
My first idea is maybe you can remove the apps manualy with a root explorer from "system/app/ " or "data/apps/"
