Hi guys,
I do not have an Z1 (yet?), but I did the softkey-mods for the Z and was asked to help. I've created the files and it was tested by chitose_ndy. Thanks for that!
As always, proceed on your own risk.....
Here are cwm-flashable zips that should work on your devices.
If you do not have cwm, you need to install them manually. this is how it should work:
1) Download the zip for cwm with the size you are looking for. Look inside, there should be a folder "system/vendor/overlay" and inside is an apk. Please put that on your device inside the same folder.
2) Now do a backup of system/app/SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex.
3) Download the SystemUI.apk from below and use it to replace the one on your device. Make sure it has the correct permissions (644, like all other apks in this folder).
4) Now delete SystemUI.odex and reboot.
if you have a recovery, just put the X_softkey_...zip on your sdcard and flash with cwm..SystemUI is not needed. but do a backup first... this is an early version!!
That's it.
For the camera fix that is needed for 25 and 32 version there is currently no cwm installer available... you will have to do it by hand:
1) download the version for your firmare and unzip.
2) do a backup of your ArtFilterCamera.apk and odex (both in system/app)
3) place the downloaded ArtFilerCamera.apk inside system/app, check permissions (644) and delete the .odex
4) reboot.

Camera effect FC ..
Tried to wipe data and cache of the camera effect and then reboot.
Still FC

I forgot to install the 534 framework small nav . LOL
Thats why the camera effect FC,
After installing both files,
No FC on camera effect ^^

if u install both, there wont be any FC as far as i tested
Btw, ive noticed that the navbar in 534 version is lil bit bigger than the other one ..
Dont know why .. but could OP make it in the same size?

that should not be possible. they both have exactly the same overlay apk... do you have screenshots?
what is important: if you install manually never have more than one of these apks inside /system/vendor/overlay.

I don't have a recovery but I've followed the guide. It works! My softkeys are now a lot smaller and better!
But where can I find that smaller softkey file to fix the camera effect and what to do with it /where to put it?

Ahhh, camera stops working after choosing camera`s "Graphic effects". This is the only issue i found out.

There's no camera fix file.
Just instal the systemUI and the x_navbar file together.
Both files must have the same fw in order to kick FC.

I think we might have a misunderstanding here.... Maybe I also forgot to mention something:
On the Z we only had the FC's using size 25 and 32. Size 36 is causing no problems.
Maybe you are using different sizes?
I'm going to create a fix today and update post #1 when it's ready.

Yes I'm using size 25 and have the force close with the camera effects. Everything else works.
Waiting for a fix. Although, the camera effects are not essential to me, it'll be nice to have

go to my files and then internal storage and look for miui and inside that you will find theme folder

Found out how to enable those themes
You need to go to Local in Themes section in Mobile and you need to Import all the themes. Viola the imported theme will show up in the Local section. I have attached Screenshots for it and Highlighted in Red Color where to go. Hope you guys understand it..
I think its not necessary to keep them under MIUI--->Theme folder. As we are importing we can place it any where I think soo. Am not sure how it worked in previous version of MIUI but this version it works like mentioned above

In S5 forum Someone post some apk of S5.After a bit it was immediately delete but I've download some of it.
I've Launcher and SystemUi but no one seems to work (force close constantly).

The one on the OP doesn't work for long-press.
Here is a fixed version for lollipop and I decreased long press delay.

thanks for this its installed and works on my rooted kitkat 4.4.2!
but i loved version 2.0 much more better because its doesn't have a big black circle. please is there a way to get it working or remove that circle on version 4.0?

thanks brother, i managed to change it my using apk editor on my phone, i simply extrated the version 2.0 and copied the back button png then used it to replaced the back button on version 4.0 and it worked well for me. here below is the apk

I just replaced the original apk with ur modified on and love that black circle gone. Works perfectly.
