[Q] Matte Screen Cover

Anyone bought a good quality matte screen cover designed for the DHD?

took this one it really is good , decreses reflection for a fair bit and it makes it easier to see on bright sunlight plus it is relatively fingerprint free

SGP is very good yes, very happy about it and its worth the price! You also get 2 screens incase you will mess up the first.

Any link to that sgp please. I just bought one from ebay and though the quality of the protector is good, it blocks too much light from the screen, small letters are also unreadable withis matt screen I have. So im thinking of trying another brand.

Pros:
Fits with case
-Doesn't lose any screen quality

-Cuts are perfect

I'm rocking one of these. Took all 3 of the front protectors to get it right (my fault as I haven't applied a protector for years).
The rear was no problem, using it with a ringke fusion and no lifting from the protector.
Have small scratch on the protector so will have to get another pack soon.
All in all a bargain at the price

I have the slightly frosted/matte effect ones by the same company. They're absolutely fine. Took a bit of work to fit them properly but they've kept my n4 in tiptop shape. I dropped it on a hard floor today, expected the worst and all was fine - not the first time. I suspect these films are helping there to some degree. Buy them. V good value!

Yes, it is not very easy to set them correctly on ur first time..
But they work pretty well

yeah i'm kinda helping them out also

some dust got under it from taking so long on applying.. might get another one .. still got 2 for the front so..

still rocking good.. I notice a small line with dots when it is in the sun.. i'll try to film it..

I now use the atfolix ones, must be nearly the same probable, I bet the anti-glare loses quality with the image..
The clear one from atFolix is awesome.. must be the same as the halo one..

Yea, image quality loss is a given. I just like the feel and look of anti-glare screen protectors.

Well, I ordered a Mercury TPU Case (White), and an Acase Superleggera Pro Dual Layer Case. I also ordered the Halo Premium Matte Screen protector. Plan on reviewing that once it comes in.

I use mercury tpu blue case ! Its purrfect!

[Q] Screen protector differences

I'm planning on buying the OPO with a screen protector along with it and the flip cover. I could see two screen protectors one being a normal one and one being premium, i don't see any differences in the site. Anyone here know? And which one should I get? Matte or anti-fingerprint? Thank you

Don't bother with either of the official OnePlus screen protectors, they're useless. You want a tempered glass screen protector, they actually offer some protection for your screen. I use the Nillkin 9H, it's outstanding. I've heard good things about the Rhino Shield one too.

Me too...
Couldn't be happier with the Nillkin. Put off installing it for a bit and went naked. Really can't tell too much of a difference when it's on, and it was way easier to install than the film type protectors.

Nillkin? Aw man does that mean i have to order somewhere else? And does the tempered glass they offer suck too?

I'd stick with the Nillkin. And yes, you'd need to order it somewhere else, I don't see why that's a problem though.

i was gonna order it along with the phone to lessen shipping costs, but nevermind i didn't get the screen protector or the glass. I only got the flip cover with it as the shipping cost got up to almost 20 dollars, so i thought that i would just get the screen protector somewhere else. Thanks btw =)

I didn't have to pay for any shipping at all when I bought mine, it came from Aliexpress or something like that I think.

I got the Nillkin tempered glass, no issues in fixing and it and I don't find any changes to the touch sensitivity and display of OPO! Looking great..
There is a about 1 mm gap along all sides!

It looks exactly like the pic, which is why I liked it even more. But yes it does make it a lil heavier, like all bumper cases. I feel it's worth the premium, in terms of weight. [emoji4]

don't see the wood case for note 3, and the cover maybe a bit heavier.

There's a new official black hard case with much better corner protection than the best hard case on Amazon. Available at mi.com/store and the mi store app.

On Aliexpress you can find the Nilkin glass screen protector, it should be very good, there is the official Nilkin shop and in costs 8$ about.

don't have the phone yet found some cheap tempered glass 0.58euro on aliexpress
and some cases for 1euro
i have ordered the gold phone was cheaper
but a full tempered glass with color could be fun to make my front black

Screen Protector?

So I'm under the impression that the glass panel that covers the LCD is not made of gorilla glass, meaning it would (in theory) scratch relatively easily. This almost certainly necessitates a screen protector, then.
However, I'm only able to find tempered glass protectors (which would be a great added bit of protection) atm, and I hate them because of the dreaded "halo effect" that totally defeats the purpose of the bezel-less display. I've been a fan of the "helicopter-polymer" screen protectors, as once they're stuck, they're stuck; however, I'm unable to find any of those.
I snagged some of the cheapo "transparent-film" protectors (only redeeming part is they give you like 6 in a pack), hoping that I'll be able to get those to stick all the way down around the edges.
Anybody found a screen protector they like?

watch the youtube video where the scratch test is performed. it is near impossible to scratch the screen. i can't see any reason to use a screen protector on this phone given that the scratch test performed as well or better than any other flagship device

I'm riding naked right now. Couldn't take it anymore. Screen is too beautiful not to see. I'm using the phone for entertainment now until better cases arrive at my house.
I ordered some screen protectors as well.

Hardness test proved the ceramic is an 8, and the glass screen is a 6 (supposedly on par with most other flagship devices, even though there's supposedly no gorilla glass. I've been using it as my every day for about 2 weeks now, and the screen is pristine. I would like a film protector, but if it interferes with the otherwise gorgeous display, I may just run naked.
The case on the other hand is, in my opinion an absolute must. I like the one that came with it, and it seems like it would be pretty protective. I have no intention of accidentally dropping my cherished device (nor testing to see, even though it's insured), but it seems like minor drops might actually be handled quite well by the OEM case.

My phone came with this case on it when i purchased it. Do you have a grid of little dots across the entire screen?

I just installed this Screen protector and I have to admit that it fits very nicely. No air Bubbles or anything.
Unfortuanely, i can confirm the amazon Reviews, that the Touch responsveness is pretty bad
