Check the Device Suggestions thread and let them know what your budget is and what you'd like the tablet to be able to do.

I have a Nexus 10 and have been really happy with it. I will say that the stock ROM is a bit buggy which hopefully Google will sort out soon. I've been running several custom ROM's and have found the, to be much more stable. The screen is gorgeous btw!
depending on your budget i would suggest going either for nexus 7 or the nexus 10. both are really good tabs

You may want to wait a few months for the new tablets to come out with Nvidia Tegra 4.
But if you must buy a tablet right now, it depends on what you want and your budget. Here is a last of tablets and some things about them:
Asus Transformer TF700: Attachable keyboard, nice Asus apps, fast OTAs, fast processor, good gaming device
Nexus 10: Fastest processor on the market, gets updates before any other brand devices (direct from google)
Nexus 7: Cheap, decent processor, gets updates at the same time as Nexus 10
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (Not Galaxy Tab 2 10.1): Multiview, stylus, Samsung mini apps, TouchWiz (Some people hate TouchWiz but I like it), decent processor.

I love my nexus 10, this is a great example of the way android is meant to operate.

Between this and the TF700 for a purchase

knocked out the kindle because of problems iwth unlocking and a lot of consensus of it NOT having a display that's better than tha Tab 2 and a lot of I/O issues with the Asus.
What would you guys say is the main problems for the galaxy tab 2 10.1? For someone who plans on immediately rooting and AOSPing a Tab 2 10.1? I plan on streaming HD movies and TV SHows during bedtime from my media server and for reading the Economist Kindle. I'm an intern pending a job at the end so I can't spend $500+ for a tablet.
My current android device is a very smooth and customized (look at my signature) Galaxy S3. I never keep stock bloatware
well it is your choice you can go to a retailer and check out the device !! but also you can go for the nexus 10 a very nice competier
TF700 maybe a good choice, or Galaxy Tab3 8.0 ?

[Completed] Dilemma for which Tab to buy.!

Hello there guys and thank you all in advance for your dedication and your help.! I want to buy a Tablet pretty soon and i am amongst 2 of Samsung's Tab 4 T533 or Tab A T550. I need a Tablet which can be rooted for sure cause i'll need to install X Mod to this Tablet. So i think i saw that Tab A is already rootable (not sure though). From the other hand i think that Tab 4 is certainly better.. So you know anything about when Tab 4 will be rootable? Or should i just go for Tab A which is already rootable (i think).. Thanks for your time again guys and really hope to get an answer from you soon.

[Help] Any files on the Note SCH-i925***

Good day,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 SCH-i925 Verizon running 4.1.2 Jellybean (2013) I have been doing research into the development of unlocking the bootloader for this device, and I came across the CASUAL method created by Adam Outler, but it so happens that all of the download links are broken. If anyone could point me in the right direction to downloading CASUAL for the SCH-i925 tablet that would be a huge help, or even if you have the files. I bought this tablet for school and don't like Jellybeans functionality, rather a lack of.
Thank you,

Unfortunately CASUAL for this tablet is unavailable. I too have this tablet and would love to update it. The creator of this program asked whenever he created it for everyone just let it stay on the original file sharing server. As per his request the link died and now it is inaccessible.
You're best bet is to ask around see if someone has the file still, not probable, and ask them to share it.
