What do you think about the new Samsung Galaxy S7? - Android General

I think It looks almost exactly the same as the S6! LG G5 was more interesting.
The Galaxy S7 Edge has a 12-megapixel camera, compared to last year’s 16-megapixel shooter. But S7 phones have a slightly wider aperture, too (f1.7 compared to f1.9), which would let in a bit more light than the S6.
The S7 and S7 Edge are available March 11, with preorders beginning February 23. Samsung hasn’t announced pricing, but it did announce a deal: If you buy either S7 phone between February 23 and March 18, Samsung will give you a free Gear VR virtual reality headset with a bundle of six games. The Gear VR will work with both new S7 phones.

The Taiwanese manufacturer today released an official teaser for the device-within-a-device, boasting its display, processor, economical benefits, and impressive battery life.
For those who may have missed the specs sprinkled throughout the promo, here's what we know so far:
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor at 1.5GHz
4.3" Super AMOLED qHD display (the tablet features a 10.1" display, no word on resolution)
8MP rear shooter (featuring a 5-element f/2.2 lens)
Stylus/Headset accessory
Over 14,000mAh battery power between the pad, phone, and dock
Overall, the PadFone is still looking like a pretty intriguing device. Despite the fact that the video seems to have hit a speed-bump in editing (the entire sequence repeats itself sans audio), it still provides viewers with an official piece of media to confirm that the device is still coming. The release of an official promo could also mean that we're due for more information any time now. Source : AndroidPolice
At any rate, it will be interesting to see whether ASUS' unquestionably novel device can pull off the concept of a phone-powered tablet without coming off as merely a gimmick.
I just want to know a price on this. And what service providers the phone part is compatible with.

I was able to get my hands on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Sneak Peak in Dubai
I recorded a video showing the boot speed:
The time while it was charging (showing a battery) wasn't counted.
Anyway I wasn't able to freely play with the phone but they said they will send me a device soon
Regards,,
did you check if there was 3g/4g settings in the mobile networks? Were you able to check or did Samsung mention that it's Snapdragon or Exynos processor?

Thanks for your reply, so basically Samsung is doing exact same thing as S3, S3 i9300 3g only was launched in May 2012 and four months later S3 i9305 LTE was launched. I hope I don't have to wait four month for Galaxy S4 Exynos+LTE. I just don't understand why Samsung is launching a flagship phone in 2013 without LTE, it should be must in a flagship phone of 2013, especially in countries like UAE where LTE works great.

Samsung seems to be teasing a new Galaxy Gear smartwatch on Twitter

Samsung still hasn't announced what it would showcase at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, although it did suggest that we may see some innovative wearable devices.
A new tweet from Samsung Mobile UK from just moments ago seems to tease a new Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Alongside the question “What do you want Samsung to unveil in 2014?”, the tweet reveals an image that shows the 2013 Galaxy Gear on the left, and a blank space on the right, with a “What next?” question below it. Now, we can’t be certain of anything yet, but it looks more and more that a new Galaxy Gear is coming in the near future. On the other hand (no pun intended), we could see a completely new type of wearable accessory.
Sure enough, the original Galaxy Gear is only three months old, thus many do not see the point in having a new one so soon. However, since most of us do not find the first Galaxy Gear a worthy buy (check out our review of it for details), Samsung probably wants to do things right with a new-generation Android smartwatch.
CES 2014 debuts early next week, so we will see then if a new Galaxy Gear is indeed what this tweet is all about.

The device is possibly set to arrive in at least two flavours, according to multiple reports: one plastic, the other metal. It will also pack in all the latest hardware and technology, so don’t be surprised to find at least 3GB of RAM, a 2K resolution display, a completely re-worked exterior design and a fresh lick of paint on the custom TouchWiz UI.
Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 805 chipset is likely to feature in the UK version, while Galaxy S5 units bound for Asia are said to benefit from Samsung’s own 64-bit Exynos 6 CPU. With regards to a launch date it’s looking increasingly likely Samsung will launch the device at a London event in March, though there are still plenty of eyes on Mobile World Congress (MWC) for the end of February.
That’s a brief summary, however, so read on to find out all the juicy details about the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Chinese site Tencent is reporting the company aims to lose its super AMOLED display but it is based on “unconfirmed information.” That information does suggest though that Sharp is going to provide 5.25-inch 2K Ultra HD LTPS displays which have a higher pixel density of 560 pixels-per-inch (ppi).

Today is 1 April. Did you hear about April Fools Day?
The ironic thing is that this post is probably just as accurate as all the 'leaked' specs we'll be seeing in the next few months... (Remember the S5 with UHD screen, 4GB RAM, aluminium case, 64bit 3.0ghz cpu and unbreakable glass screen?)
I want something like the original padfone, with a focus on casting to be like a desktop.
Ideal setup --->
Photovoltaic Wireless Mouse, and Keyboard
~27" dual 4k monitors
7", 10", 13", and 17" tablet docks with battery and Attachable keyboards with battery.
Quad-booting of OSx, Android, Ubuntu, and Windows
Minimum 3" smartwatch
Minimum 1440p Mirasol Display
Access to Thermal Throttling Table
If some OEM's start integrating this list of devices, I'll be incredibly happy.
~End Rant
