Surf and talk on an N920t overseas - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

Hi,
Today I found out I can't browse the Internet while on an active call.
I own the Tmo note 5, and am currently (and indefinitely) outside of the US.
I am using a local Sim and not roaming Tmo.
After looking up this subject, I understand I have to enable Volte, not sure if this is the WiFi Calling feature I found. If it is, then I cannot turn it on, I get an "ER05-invalid sim" message.
Any ideas? I could really use some help.
Thanks!

If your trying to enable volte then open the phone app, push 'more' and then settings and there is an option to enable volte. WiFi calling has nothing to do with volte.

no wifi calling and voLTE on three on HTC U11

is there any way of getting this, three says its enabled, I see its available on S8 and people are using it, but seems like HTC U11 is neglected
On Three UK
WiFi calling only works if you're on a reasonably good 4g signal. In call settings, at the very bottom you should see "enhanced call service" with options "voice over lte" and "wifi calling". Enable them.

Huh? lol
This is SO wrong. WiFi calling is for people who are getting a bad signal over the mobile network. If you had a good signal, why would you want to call over wifi? If you have a limit on your account for voice calls, wifi calling will still count against that. It's not VoIP.
Okay further to this, I tried H3G rom on htc and US unlocked ( i have S-off).
Dont find the option of enhanced call service. I believe sim has to play part in that, as when I put this sim in oneplus 5T it did not show enhanced call setting but when i put EE uk sim settings magically appeared
Now I am making calls on 4G so i take it its VOLTE its working on its own. dont find option of wifi calling in rom itself
I had essential phone for couple of days, it had wificalling activated on the same sim and no VOLTE, such a shame. i cant have both in single device

Anyone enabled BT WiFi Calling with Pixel 3?

Has anyone been able to set up WiFi Calling using Pixel 3 on BT network (UK) ?
People report being able to do so with Pixel 1 and Pixel 2, but I just cannot get it working with my Pixel 3.
Anny advice/suggestions please?
Are you pay as you go or pay monthly?
That I'm aware of, Wi-Fi Calling is only available with EE and for pay monthly customers.
I know BT runs on EE network, but assuming it still works (which I'm not sure about), I would imagine they apply the same restrictions.
Anyway, I'm a EE PAYGo customer and still I do have the option to enable Wi-Fi Calling.
But still, I'm not sure it actually works.
Thanks matteventu, I am a monthly contract payer.
BT definitely DO offer wifi calling - but state that it is primarily iPhone and latest Samsung phones that they support.
Many report success with P1 and P2, so hoping P3 will be OK too....
I'm on EE contract and WiFi calling definitely works.

Just make a phone call. If you see the network switches to 3G/H, then you don't have VoLTE. If during the phone call you still see the 4G/LTE icon, then you have VoLTE.
(Of course, don't be connected to WiFi to make this test call if you also have Wi-Fi calling XD)
The question indeed is: how do I get proof my Wi-Fi calling works?
I know if you enable it in the settings, then if you go in Info on this phone you see that in "mobile network" that it's not connected to LTE/HSPA, but to "IWLAN" - that from I understood stands for Wi-Fi calling.
The question is. I can enable Wi-Fi calling in the settings, and I do see IWLAN as mobile network type for calls (in place of LTE/HSPA) if I'm connected to Wi-Fi. But does this ASSURE me that I'll be using Wi-Fi for calls? Because I am a EE PAYGo customers and according to their info, I am not supposed to be able to use Wi-Fi calling. So, because I have the options it means I am using it, or the option just shows for everybody and if I'm a PAYGo customer even if I have it enablerd, it won't actually work?
Does anybody can think of any test I can do to see if it works?
Thank you!

Thanks for the tip ! Was so used to the volte icon on the s8 that I had no idea how to check .
Allow me to return the favour .
Slide down the notification pane all the way to the bottom and if you have WiFi calling it'll have your network name + WiFi calling next to it .
Screenshot for reference

Ohhh I see. Then that's why I didn't know if it worked, because I never saw that "EE Wi-Fi Calling" and didn't even know it was supposed to be there with Wi-Fi enabled *and* actually working ?
Thank you, now I'm 100% sure EE stands to their terms lol and I have no Wi-Fi calling as PAYGo customer ?
Finally it works fine. I had to chat with BT Mobile and they had to activate it for me.

How to enable VoLTE for LG V50 (Korean U+)

How to enable VoLTE on the korean U+? I've checked with my carrier and they confirmed that VoLTE service is active on my SIM. However I can't find any option to enable VoLTE in phone settings. I've only seen a VoLTE call quality option in phone settings - not sure if this means that it's already active. The status bag logo also shows just LTE when mobile data is enabled - no indication of VoLTE.
If you have mobile data showing LTE and it does not change to 3G (or something else) when you make or receive a call, then you are on VoLTE. That is my general understanding of it.

Ah ok. It seems you are not on VoLTE then. Sorry, I don't know how to activate it though.
i have the sprint version but am currently on tmobile network which (was switching me to 3g) during voice call or txt msg.
now that tmobile has been taking down 3g (and they are working on a tower in my area) i do not even see 3g symbol in notifications anymore. i can complete the call and there is no lte symbol or 3g symbol but call completes but can not use data still.
when i hang up i see lte and can use data (browse the web)
the funny thing is before i went to tmobile i had metro pcs in this area which uses tmobile network and i never had a volte problem so you know this is software and they just want us to buy more phones.
this exact phone worked on metropcs with volte no problem.

Oneplus 7 Pro T-Mobile (GM1915) on verizon, is VoWIFI possible?

Hello,
I recently purchased a T-Mobile unlocked Oneplus 7 pro (GM1915, 8GB ram/256GB storage) on eBay to use on Verizon, and I can't seem to get wifi calling to work. We went through the setup with Verizon, and let them know it was a CDMA-less device, and everything works perfectly besides wifi calling. I do not have the option to turn on wifi calling in the settings of the phone or the log kit. When I dial *#*#4636#*#* in the phone app to get to the phone info, the VoLTE provisioned slider is enabled and able to be turned on and off, but the Video Calling, Wifi Calling, and EAB/Presence Provisioned sliders are all greyed out and disabled. I called Verizon to check on their end if it could be enabled, and he said it was enabled on my account, but it still wasn't working on my phone. He put in a ticket to verify the E911 address, but after reading a lot of threads on forcing VoWIFI on other models, I just wanted to see if it was even possible, as I saw next to no threads on my specific model of 7 pro. If anyone has any guidance for me on this issue, I would really appreciate some help.
Thank you!
Won't work. The phone is not a Verizon phone and will be refused access to the vowifi server. Only the pixel ever functioned. Sms over WiFi will work with the Verizon messages app or Google messages and rcs. You best option is Google voice for vowifi.
Welcome to Verizon where unlocked 5g phones don't work on 5g either.
Fully possable

No Wifi Calling Toggle in call settings, Anyone know how to enable it ?

I have the european variant LM-V500EM of LG V50 which I was under the impression had a wifi calling / vowifi option. I've used the quickshortcut maker app and can see the option is there in the backend of the settings com.android.settings.Settings$Wifi CallingSettingsActivity. I can even open it and toggle it to on but it doesn't appear to do anything and still won't show in the regular call settings.
I've spoken to a number of UK networks who say it should work and spoken to LG directly who say wifi calling is unavailable for this variant/model and only the EE variant has WIFI calling. It's pretty frustrating that a function which the phone clearly is capable of is unusable.
Has anyone got any workarounds for this as I'm tearing my hair out here and don't want to have to sell the phone as apart from this it's great.
Thanks
I've been in engineering mode *#546368#*500# and SVC Menu / VoWIFI / W-Fi Toggle to ON but wifi calling still doesn't appear in the main settings.
Can this be enabled OTA by the right network carrier eg. EE , 3 etc ?
I've got the same phone, same problem.
