[Q] Is there a way to manually flash Android Marshmallow? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
sick of waiting for the OTA update already.
Does anyone have the rom files to manually flash marshmallow?
I mean the OTA update must be out there for some, so someoune should be able to provide that? Or am I wrong?
I'm using the international variant G920F.

question about rooting and ota updates

im on my stock rom and stock everything just rooted... i do have clockwork recovery though. question is does this prevent me from getting ota updates or not? i have read various things saying that if you have a custom recovery installed it will prevent the install of the ota update but you still get the file ota.... Also, if it does work to install an ota update will i lose root? thanks
Its always recommended not to flash an OTA over a rooted ROM as it can bugger things up
you are able to receive the OTA, but it is strongly recomended not to
thanks guys , anyone know when 2.3.4 will be released for US version???

I highly doubt anyone does. We don't even know the date of the maintenance updates yet.

[Q] Is there an official 4.3 update out?

This is a stupid question I am sure. But, is there an flashable or Odinable official 4.3 update yet? I see there are ROM;s and such, but is there one that will be exactly what the new OTA update will be? Thanks
No

Flashing 5.0 Lollipop

So I flashed the brazillian lollipop OTA on my Indian XT033 and can someone explain to me step by step how I'll be able to flash the Indian Lollipop update when it releases publicly without losing my data?

Why you flashed Brazilian version. It could brick your phone. Motorola is gonna release official android L here in less than a week, i guess.
Anyway, download indian version of stock 4.4.4 and flash it with stock recovery. Relock the bootloader. Latest motorola adb and fastboot drivers should be there before starting this whole process.
Motorola has updated its OTA updater app a couple of days ago. So go to play store and update it to make your phone ready for android lollipop

And in this way you could end up messing your phone.
Once youre on lollipop there's no way as of now to downgrade to KK.
But once the india lollipop update is out someone will figure out a way to install that.Until then enjoy your phone o Brazilian 5.0.
And also I dont find some good reason to install Indian update ovr brazilian one coz there will be no major change.
I guess both are "Asia retail" firmwares?
Please press THANKS if interesting. Sent from Moto G-od via xt1033 free Android app.

With 6.0 update

You have to redo the root and xposed

Do the MM update by downloading from Sammobile.
Don't screw around with OTA updates. . . . too much chance of an error.

It seems your phone is a little different due to the bootloader.
I did find this though:

Do a little research on the web and on this board.
You'll probably find some good answers.
