how to root Moto G 4G android 5.1

hi.
I have successfully unlocked the bootloader on my moto G 4G (LTE) or XT1039 that has been upgraded to android 5.1
But using old procedure to root it(for android 4.4.4), i doesn't work. I have tried with booting twrp (for the xt1032) and it gets stuck at the motorola logo it displays when shutting down. So it doesn't reboot.
I tried the twrp for xt1032. And it's the same.
I tried twrp for the moto titan but this time seems to become dead. But it's ok to reboot it
I tried the chainfire CAFR autoroot dot chainfire dot eu but the red android never show up and it jsut reboots as normal.
I don't want to flash a custom recovery or a custom rom. I just want to root it. That's why I have unlocked the booloader in the first place.
Anyone got a working solution ?
Is it garanteed it will work with a custom recovery ? and flash a custom rom ?

(Q) Install Xposed with no custom recovery?

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to successfully install xposed on Moto Gs without having a custom recovery installed. I'm asking for this because I don't want to mess too much with my phone and to keep it as clean as possible.
Thank you
Moto G XT1032

5.1 Brazil
Bootloader unlocked
As far as I know there's no possibility to install xposed for Lollipop without custom recovery. But I don't understand why you don't want to flash a recovery when you have already "messed" your device with unlocked bootloader and root! It is just one step forward.
Sent from my XT1039 using XDA Free mobile app
Well the bootloader can be locked again and the root can be removed as well. Maybe custom recovery too?
Alternatively, can the custom recovery be flashed temporary to then flash xposed?
But even if you lock it again motorola already knows it and when you lock it again it will show a different code from the original locked one
You can temporarily boot into a custom recovery and install xposed.
Just type fastboot boot <thenameoftherecovery>
