Hi folks,
Proud owner of a brand new Z3. Did anyboty test the screen mirroring functions on it?
I have issues with it. - No sound when mirroring on a samsung smart tv f7000.
Is this a known issue, and is there a fix?
Also, why is there no move to SD function for apps? - Is there a solution for this?
Also, selective call blocking, aka blacklist and spam sms - any good suggestion for a workaround?
Tks and brgs
Move to SD was removed back in Honeycomb. I believe Google's just now enforcing it, stricter play store rules.
You can do it with root and an app that does symlinking
I'm having no issues with the sound while mirroring to my Samsung HU6905, just checked vlc, the albums and YouTube.

Move to SD was part of Samsung's Touchwizz on my last smartphone (i9300). Tks for the pointer.
As for selective call blocking, still nothing found and I contacted sony about this... their answer :
"...Finally, we would like to inform you that your phone features Google Play Store, an online application shop, with thousands applications and games that you can download to your phone and personalize it according to your needs. Hello Andrea,
I use your last firmware for Lenovo S750. It is best so far, unfortunately have met some problems,
1. Can not make backup of contacts. I use 3rd party soft to do it but want to use system one.
2. can not update thru android store some apps as> Youtube, Google maps, Hangouts, Google .
3. Proximity sensor crashes very often,so during call display goes dark. Have tried one from this forum, but it didnt helped. Have found an app from app store >Proximity fix< it helps but not fixing problem,
4. camera goes green often too, and have to restart phone
5. After restart all shortcuts from desktop are gone so have to add them manually again and again,,,desktop can not be locked and saved with mine preferences.
Please can you give me a idea what to do.
Well unfortunately for you I'm not Andrea! However I will direct you to register and then ask your question here. Someone may be able to help you with this.
Good luck
I've been part of a closed beta user group helping on an app called Bridge which mirrors your notifications across all your Android devices.
They just rolled out in open beta limited to 5000 users and asked me as a senior member on XDA to assist in getting more users to help test during the beta.
Bridge not only mirrors but also let's you reply, like delete etc. Basically everything as the original notification on your other devices.
They've also implemented two-way sync meaning if you dismiss your notification on one device, it dismisses it on all your devices.
You can read more and download it from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xitlabs.bridge
You can report suggestions & bugs directly through the app.
I've been using it for about a month on my tablet and smartwatch (KW88 running full Android 5.1) and it has been working pretty good.
Even though it still has some bugs here and there (which they hope you can help squash), I must say it is pretty convenient getting all my notifications on my watch and tablet.
Below I've copied the main points from their own Play Store listing
? Mirror your notifications to other Android devices
? Reply, Like, Delete etc. directly from another device
? Two-way sync - all your devices interact with each other
? Whitelist - control which apps that can mirror notifications
? Encryption - all data between devices can be encrypted
It offers 14 days trial and costs $1.99 to unlock for life.
The link directly to joining the beta is
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.xitlabs.bridge
Hello,
I would like to try this app, but I cannot install on my smartwatch, while on my phone installation and setup works fine. If I search the app through the play store of the watch it doesn't find it, and if I click on the link it open play store but then it says the app is non existent.
I have a Lemfo Lem8, it isn't compatible then?
Thank you
hi,
I am the author of Alexa Gear app for Samsung Gear/Galaxy watches.
The main thread (also used as a beta thread) is at :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/themes/amazon-alexa-samsung-gear-galaxy-watch-t3854747
Recently, there were many crash reports and feedback with issues, reported through app store comments and via direct email.
Unfortunately, with my test devices, and friends' devices , I can not observe the crash issues. For me and my friends it works with no issues at all.
I tried reaching some of the users (who report crashes), also supplying them a "debug" version. But none of them has returned to me.
There are 3 possibilities;
1. people are not willing to cooperate and work on the issue to fix it. (either because they don't have time or they are afraid to install a debug version)
2. people do not care to fix the issue
3. there's really no problem at all
I really want to help and fix the problems if there's really a problem. So I need also help from users.
That's why I want to use this thread for communication of issues, problems and mainly crashes. I may need a beta group to test a debug version.
Please supply me information about crashes in forms of:
- screenshots
- recorded video showing both phone and watch display at the time of crash
- logcat if available
- let me know which version of the phone app you are using
- let me know which version of the watch app you are using
- let me know if you have official Amazon Alexa app installed on your phone
- let me know if you are logged in to your Amazon.com account from Amazon Alexa app installed on your phone
- let me know if you have official Amazon Shopping app installed on your phone
- let me know if you are logged in to your Amazon.com account from Amazon Shopping app installed on your phone
Please keep in mind , for proper first time installation and use of the app:
1. first install phone application if possible (if not , please install phone app when watch app is fully closed)
2. make sure you are logged in to your amazon account through the phone app and the login button is gone
3. only after step 2 , run your watch app
4. make sure your watch is connected to your phone through bluetooth
5. make sure your watch app is connected to your phone app (both apps should show "Alexa Connected" in the Alexa logo on their displays)
6. only after step 5 start voice recording on your watch and send an Alexa command
7. if your language setting (phone app) does not work , please fresh install both apps and try with default language setting (en-US)
8. try logging in to https://alexa.amazon.com/spa/index.html and make timezone & location settings for your new Alexa device (it should show up as AlexaGear after you register through phone app)
Please , when reporting a crash, check the above steps list and tell me at what point you have the crash.
I will also add a poll to this thread to understand the rate of users with crashes. Please help me and submit the poll even if you don't have a crash.
Thanks.
HI.. Thanks for building the app but the app doesn't work. It listens the command but it doesn't transmit to phone/Alexa.
Thanks again

Hi all.
I open this thread after reading and searching on all the WWW a solution on the notification problems the GW4 has.
I'd like this thread would be a repository of all the solutions tried and tips or workarounds to fix these issues.
Here following my direct experience
Gmail - every received email is not notified on the watch: no vibration. It's visible just the "notifications" dot on the left. Then, no one of the quick action is working. If I delete the email, the watch tells me to look at the phone, but the action is not taken.
I use Stark for other email accounts, not Gmail, and it's working perfectly.
Anyone of you has the same issue? Any fix for it?
Dual or Cloned apps - my phone is a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and I have the cloned WhatsApp. Whenever I get a message on it, the watch doesn't do nothing, not even the notification dot. It's like this app is not "seen" by the GW4 and by the wearable app.
My former smartwatch, a Ticwatch E, was correctly receiving and notifying both WhatsApp' messages.
I tried to clone the wearable app as well, but no success. I wanted to clone also the Plug-in, but there's no option in my phone for this.
Same question: anyone else has my same problem? Is there any solution?
Please share your experiences and let's try to find out the solutions!!
Thank you in advance

For cloned apps or apps from Work Profile - you can use Tasker and AutoNotification to intercept the notification, and AutoWear to produce the new notification directly on the watch from captured data. Or buy Samsung phone - they are passing all the notifications to the watch natively (exclusive feature for sams phone + sams watch)

I honestly wanted to avoid the installation of several apps for something that should work without any problems.
The wear OS made by Samsung seems really to be too much closed to all which is not Samsung, and this is not nice...

It's not a Samsung - it's a Google. Android is separating normal and work profiles as much as possible, as technically you have two separate users and they shouldn't mix. On own phones Samsung just have a backdoor for that embedded into the ROM.

It's strange because, as I wrote in 1st post, before I was using a Ticwatch connected to the phone via the Google's Wear OS app and everything was working smoothly.
Samsung doesn't allow to connect the GW4 via Wear OS app, but just its Wearable app.
In Wear OS app I was able to see WhatsApp as 2 different apps, the native and the cloned. In Samsung app just the native.
Is there any way to make cloned WhatsApp "visible" to wearable app?
I see one commenter on Sammobile says the latest update (DUJA) fixes Gmail notifications!
