[App][4.0+][NoRoot] Airplane Mode Shortcut (One-Tap Toggle) - Android Apps and Games

Airplane Mode Shortcut allows you to easily activate Android's Airplane Mode with just one single tap. This app is the only one that also works on Android versions higher than Jellybean 4.2, and still does NOT require a rooted device.
Features:
Toggle airplane mode via a home screen shortcut (One click only)
Tiny memory footprint
NO root required
Completely free
There also is a pro version with these additional features:
Support for automation and third-party launchers
Enable when a certain battery percentage is reached (Any percentage can be set)
Enable when a certain battery temperature is reached
Enable airplane mode while a specific app is running
Toggle airplane mode via a notification
Toggle airplane mode when a charger is connected or disconnected
Enable and disable at specific times

Pro version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floriandraschbacher.airplanemode.pro
The app was tested on a Samsung Galaxy S4, Note 8 and an HTC Nexus 9. It should work on many more devices, but I did not have a chance to test on more. Let me know if it works on your device. Any feedback is highly appreciated :good::laugh:

Hi,
Yes it should work. Scheduling is only available in PRO version, but just try the shortcut first to see if it works. If it does not work, which is possible because I did not have any chance to test on Sony devices yet, please just let me know and I'll give my best to add support for your device

Hi,
The free version works for me (unrooted z1 compact), i will think it over buy it or not. The only problem is for me the not complete scheduling. I need to use another app for the other automatic settings.

This app is not working on Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo running marshmallow

Also not working on a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 with Marshmallow 6.0

On my Galaxy S7 all it does is open up the actual Airplane setting in my phone's setting, and then I have to click on that to toggle it. So in essence it's just working as a shortcut instead of a one-click toggle

It seems like all of these devices use a Settings UI that was modified by the manufacturer. I have released an update to the app today that might help on some devices.
If the newest version (1.0.4) does not work for you either, please use the Log item in the app, then paste the log data that is put into the clipboard here in the forum or in an email.

INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone,
This is originally for HTC One X, however, I have ported it to the Galaxy Nexus and now it could work on all devices! (Galaxy S3 / Moto Razr / etc). "Screen Standby" will completely turn off the backlight while keeping the phone running for MHL / HDMI streaming|gaming. That means you can now watch movie / play games on big screen and can still turn off the screen (touch screen still works!).

ROOT REQUIRED (Non-root method also available but not as effective & battery saving as root)
FEATURES
- Switch off the screen temporarily without actually putting the phone into 'sleep mode'. The phone is still running! It saves your battery, avoids heating to prolong battery life
- Since 1.96, screen can be optionally turned into touchpad!
- It has a nice little widget that let you quickly turn the screen off from your homescreen
- Since version 1.5 beta 2, shaking your device will temporarily toggle between complete screen off and lowest brightness level (so that you can perform quick action without playing a blind guessing game)
- Non-root method now available with 1.98 Beta 7
- One two dimmer: Turn off screen automatically after an idling time (no user interaction)
- Simple interface

WHY?
This little app will temporarily turn off screen backlight, however, unlike putting the phone to sleep, the phone is kept running. It is perfect for keeping the phone from heating from prolonged HDMI streaming over Medialink HD or MHL connection (the screen is off yet image/movie/games continue to be streamed) / or wifi data downloading, etc.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It attempts to perform various actions (cutting screen voltage / brightness / light switch / writing a blank image to frame buffer, etc)
(Since 1.5, the voltage method is temporarily disabled)
For some devices, the screen may shutter a bit if Automatic Brightness is turned on. However, the app will automatically detect it and put the backlight into sleep again. So if you want to avoid the problem, set Automatic Brightness to false.. Since 1.7, enable auto brightness handling in app setting helps preventing this flickering
HOW TO TURN ON THE SCREEN AGAIN?
+ Click on the app notification on your status bar (since version 1.3) or
+ Simply put the phone into true sleep (short press power button) then turn it on (power button again)
+ Temporarily lid the light a bit by shaking the device (since 1.5b2, enable it in Menu -> Settings)
+ If you can't turn on using any of the above methods, press emergency button (in main app interface) to turn on / or use 2 by 1 widget

Changelogs:
ßeta 2 Changelog:
Add toggable UI: Metro and Android Dark Holo (in Settings -> Extra)
New feature: Outgoing call automator !
First ßeta Changelog:
- New! Setting Wizard to help user quickly and easily set up Screen Standby. Simply select your known-supported device (the list is expanding!
Please help me) and your use-case (Streaming movie / Playing ingress / Playing Youtube etc) and the wizard will automatically select the optimised preset for you!
- New! Screen Standby Search Plugin to help automate Screen Standby from Search key (long press search hardware-key or softkey) or Google Now gesture (swipe up from Home softkey on Jellybean device). The plugin can now open Screen Standby interface, activate / deactivate / toggle screen off or launch Remote Controller
- Added better Root & BusyBox checker and helper
- Added new Tasker intent to control screen standby:
com.nkahoang.screenstandby.action.TOGGLE : to toggle screen on and off automatically
com.nkahoang.screenstandby.action.REMOTE_CONTROL: to launch Remote Control from tasker
- Added new option to broadcast an intent to Tasker when HDMI is detected (go to my app's settings -> HDMI Detection -> Enable broadcast on HDMI Connection/Disconnection. Specify intent action (case-sensitive) for each case. Go to tasker, add New System Event -> Intent Received, type exactly the action intent you provided in Screen Standby). The best part is, HDMI Intent can also be broadcast without activating Screen Standby (yeah, so you can use SS as a HDMI sensor for tasker)
- Added ability to use Remote Controller with Wifi-Direct (if a warning message is shown, just click 'Continue Anyway')
Optimizations:
- Continued optimisation for Nexus 4
- Added wake-lock to One Two Dimmer
- Slightly tuned sensors
From user report:
Normally, with the same amount of time watching movie, battery drain drops from 30% down to just 2%!!!!!!!!!!!

It should be slower the first time you use it only (since now it will manually find screen device for every phone, not hardcoded like before)
Working on TF300T almost perfect. The only "issue" is that when I turn off display, keyboard dock doesn't work (touchpad and usb works but not keyboard).
It doesn't work on my sgs2...I'll try at home with mhl connected and I'll report again. Nice work man. A must have app!
Confirmed it doesn't work on SGS2. It turns brightness at lowest level without standby screen.
Device Info:
Samsung Galaxy S II GT-9100 International
OS Version: 4.0.4 ICS (tested on GB 2.3.6 too)
Awesome app, one thing is that is a bit of a guessing game when trying to select apps and actions inside apps. Could be a tiny bit higher, so we can see at least barely what we are tapping on?

Ugh, i'm not sure what you mean. Can you explain it a bit clearer? If it is possible then I shall implement that.
I think he's asking if you can make it have a little bit of light so he can barely see the screen. When you are using the phone with a TV, you have to guess where to touch the screen.
Perhaps an adjustable brightness setting or just a barely on setting would be helpful for some.
That really defeats the purpose of this app... If you need that functionality, look into Screen Filter or something similar that will lower the brightness but keep the screen on.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
How about this:
Pressing the button will now toggle(circle) between three modes:
- Brightness On (app not functioning)
- Lowest brightness possible (but not completely off) and
- Zero brightness (completely turn off screen)
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS.!!!!! THANK U.! LOL

Yeah this what I meant. Specially when playing games it is very hard, for stuff that can't be mapped into a gamepad

The thing with screenfilter is that it lowers the brightness on the TV too.
I just had another idea, don't know how complicated it would be to implement though. Would it be possible to add "an always on top or floating button" that would toggle the screen on and off. For example there's an app for exploiting games called Game Guardian, this app has a very small, semi transparent and movable icon that lets you access it from anywhere. This way when we need to open mxplayer and select a movie from our library we can easily turn the lights back on and then turn them off after selecting the video.

BIG UPDATE: VERSION 1.4 BETA
+ Now have another way to turn off screen: SET SCREEN VOLTAGE TO ZERO VOLT. With this we have some bonus advantages:
- Much faster turn off time
- No more shuttering with auto brightness!
- Should work with AMOLED Devices (Galaxy S2 / S3 owners, please report!)
However, you should upgrade only if previous version does not work for your devices since this method is still a bit unstable.
Thanks a lot mate, now it works
Confirm working on SGS3.
Bug Report (1):
I have the app VirtualSat.eu to watch tv. When i'm in the app menu, display is off/black (tv still on) when i then select to watch something, the display powers on again.
Bug (2):
after the first operation, i pushed the home button (display powers off again), then scrolled down the notification bar to disable screenOff, it disappears from the notification bar. But display is still off. So i pushed the power button to get to the lock screen (this method is working).
Edit(1)
Tested a bit more, (for bug 2): If i reopen the app an repush on the screen off button (to get the app back in the notification bar), and then tried to reactivate the display, the display powers on for about 2-3 seconds and then again powers off.
For Bug(1): Tried another TV app (Zattoo) there the display stays off if i select a station to watch. So i think it's the app who uses a command that gets the display back on.
But in anyway thanks for your work. Will test with some other apps.

This may or may not be helpful but nova launcher users can create a shortcut on the home screen > activities > settings > battery saver - which will take you directly to the battery saver menu. Not ideal but may save a couple of clicks.

From Android Police: "When you activate this mode, the screen brightness is reduced, animations are turned off, background data is (mostly) disabled, and vibration is off. "
From Android Central: "To help improve battery life, battery saver reduces your device's performance and limits vibration and most background data. Email, messaging and other apps that rely on syncing may not update unless you open them."
I found the best way of doing this with a combination of Zooper pro, Tasker, AutoInput and AutoShortcut. Works pretty well the only problem is it cant trigger on screen off. AutoInput needs to have the screen on to run but still i made a widget with Zooper and with a simple tap on the battery icon on it the phone goes into battery saving mode, goes home, locks the device which in turn triggers greenify to run and hibernate any apps listed. I'm pretty happy with this for now.

Official Android Nougat Beta Ultimate Review(Installation-Features-Root-Downgrade)

Samsung Galaxy S7 and galaxy S7 edge have got official Android Nougat Beta release ,I've been using this release for about 7 days and I've decided to do
a detailed review to share with you my experience and to help you decide whether to use it as a daily driver or not.
The review is 7 parts
1-Installation
2-Performance
3-Sensors & GPS
4-Battery Life
5-Gaming Performance
6-Features
7-Bugs
1-Installation
you gonna need a windows PC , USB cable and make sure to download the latest ODIN version, All the links are available in the 2nd post
1-Backup all of your data to your PC or SD card cs this procedures will format your internal storage (My recommendation is to use smart switch to do the backup)
2-Make sure that your battery is more than 50 percent
3-turn off your device
4-enter the download mode by holding the power button+home button+volume down key
5-on your pc extract the firmware package(use Winrar or winzip) It will take some time according to your PC speed
6- You will find 4 files after the extraction process
7-Connect your device to the PC, Make sure to use the Stock cable
8-Open ODIn as administrator ( If ODIN doesn't recognize your device then you need to install USB driver for your device)
9-Now select BL and choose BL file , this is your bootloader file
10-Click AP and choose the AP file, This file will take up to 3 minutes to load so be patient.
11-click CP and select CP file , this is your modem
12-and at last click CSC and select CSC file , this is your country code.
13-hit start
-This process will take 3 to 4 minutes if you are using the Stock usb cable,The device will reboot in order to erase every thing in the internal storage then It will reboot again to start the installation process
Installation FAQ
1- will the installation affect the device warranty? no it won't ,cs it is
an official release from Samsung.
2-Can I downgrade to MM after upgrading to
Nougat? Yes you can
3-Can I Install Android nougat if I'm running Custom ROM?
Yes you can install it whatever custom ROM you have.
Installation Video
2-Performance
-For the first time on Samsung devices you can choose the performance profile you need -There are 4 profiles (normal which is the
default mode, Game,entertainment,and high performance)
-every profile has a different settings to give you the best performance according to your needs but you can modify those settings if you want. -Some of you will ask me if I noticed any changes between the 4 modes modes, and I'm gonna answer your question by doing a simple test
-I've done a benchmarking test using antutu APP While normal mode is active and the score is 90000
-Then I've done the same test while performance mode is Active and the score 130000 which is almost the same like MM
-If you want better performance then choose the performance mode but keep in mind that this will affect your battery life
-According to my experience while using the device in normal mode that everything running flawlessly and the device is very
responsive.
-RAM management is great , you can run more than 5 heavy APPs in the background and switch between them very fast and you also still able to run
more APPs at the same speed regardless how much RAM space you have.
3-Sensors and GPS
Sensors and GPS antenna are very important to your device , I've done sensors test and all the sensors responded very well
(accelerometer , Gyroscope, light sensor, Proximity sensor, etc) and I've never experienced any bugged sensors in the past 7 days
GPS antenna is perfect , It caches a 3D fix while indoor and the accuracy is very very good for navigation.
4-Battery Life
Battery life still the same like MM for me but keep in mind that the battery usage vary from user to another .
while using the device in Normal mode(Making calls, Playing light games, using Common APPs like what's APP telegram and Chrome) Over WIFI, I've got 24 hours on battery and more than 5 hours SOT which is almost the same for me on MM .
While using the device in performance mode (location enabled, using Google MAPs for navigation,Making voice calls over 2 hours) I've got 17 Hours on battery and 4 hours SOT which is also the same for me on MM while heavy usage.
The good part in Nougat that you have the ability to change the screen resolution and Performance Mode to get more battery life.
Power saving mode is available with 2 options
1-Medium power saving mode
2-Maximum power saving mode which is the same like UPSM but with a different user interface.
5-Gaming performance
Gaming performance is awesome as it was in MM ,You still have game launcher and you can adjust gaming performance settings as you used to do before. Game tools have the same features but in this version you can see the recent APPs on the right side of the screen
I've tested some high graphic games (Asphalt 8,NFS most wanted,Asphalt Xtreme )and all of them running nicely no lags or stutters or slow responses You can get the best gaming experience by activating Game Mode , which is completely new feature in Android Nougat.

Now you will ask me , can I use it as daily driver? the answer here depends on your needs, if you can find an
alternative for Apps like Facebook and you don't need S health then sure you can use it as daily driver.

Yeah but it cannot be done through ODIN
For people stuck on beta1 (those which are not registered to beta program and flashed by odin). I found solution for not working facebook app. Downloaded version 99.X.X.X from apk mirror. Those versions working fine. Only remember untick autoupdate in google play for facebook app.

Automate for Android...working on Huawei?

Hi guys. I am trying to use Automate for Android to do some simple tasks based on location. I have set the Automate app to stay open when screen lock and to be excluded from the battery optimization via the Special Access setting. However, Automate stops working if I leave my phone for a while. I assume its because of the Android Doze feature.
Has anyone got Automate to work?

have you tried turning off Settings - Battery - Settings icon top right - Close excessively power-intensive apps?
It shouldn't really be power intensive... but it's huawei so you never know...
There was a bug in C432B193 (?), and firmware released at the same time for other custs, which closed apps you were using in the foreground too, turning that option off fixed it so you could just test.

Thank you for the reply. I've tried that as well. Seems like Automate cant be made to work reliably with Huawei. I am going to go back to Tasker to see if I have better luck.
Trigger works fine for me. Always in memory.

[APP][4.0+] EXA Battery Saver - First solution to save battery using science

Every electronic device in this world required power to stay functional, including Android. However, sometimes battery draining could be too fast. Unused app keep running in the background, wifi keep on while not using, device temperature is too high, etc
Finally here come a live saver.
EXA Battery Saver is the first solution to save battery power by using AI, science and system tweaking
Features mark with # required Root Access.
Features :
Device Tuning :
#ROM Optimize :
ROM optimize is a feature that minimize the writing to storage by using fstrim, and also remounting the file systems with noatime and nodiratime flags to archive battery saving and improve device performance.
#Core Tuning :
Core Tuning is a feature that could set CPU Governor to the mode you need, such as performance, balance, or powersave.
#Lightning Charge :
Lightning Charge could speed up battery charging by set the CPU frequency to minimum value during charging. This could obviously improve the speed of charging but would also temporary decrease the performance of device.
#Application Hibernator :
If you have used app like Greenify before, you might have familiar with this feature. Yes, this feature prevent unused apps from running in background by using Android built in Force-Stop feature (am force-stop).
Service Stopper :
Service stopper is design to view and stop running service by using Android system built-in Force Stop feature, available in both root and non-root mode.
Smart Settings :
#Smart GPS :
When this feature is turned on, application would automatically turn off GPS when device's screen turned off, and turn it back on when device's screen is unlocked.
#Smart Cellular :
When this feature is turned on, application would automatically turn off mobile data when device's screen turned off, and turn it back on when device's screen is unlocked.
*Smart Wifi :
When this feature is turned on, application would automatically turn off wifi when device's screen turned off, and turn it back on when device's screen is unlocked, user can also choose not to turn off wifi when device is connected to an existing wifi router by turn on the Wifi Protection feature.
*Smart Sync :
When this feature is turned on, application would automatically turn on Sync for specified time and turn it off for specified time. By Default, the Application TURN ON SYNC 5 MINUTES FOR EVERY 1 HOUR, user can also set custom time base on their needs.
*Smart Brightness :
When this feature is turned on, application would automatically adjust device screen brightness base on the battery level to archive battery saving.
*Smart Sound :
Note: This feature may not working on some device. When this feature is turned on, the application will mute some unnecessary sound effect that will drain battery without changing the main sound and call volume of device. User could choose the type of sound to mute :
System Sound: Sound for keyboard button, back button, home button, etc.
Notification Sound: Sound when received notification
Charging Optimization :
*Power Charging :
This feature could speed up battery charging by limited some features of device during charging, recommend only enable this option when you are not using your device during charging.
Others :
*Extra optimization :
When this feature is turned on, the application will auto adjust some additional feature to help you save more battery power.
