Hello,
I'm using the amazing Artemis Vanilla 4.01 from a while... Now I've Replaced my 512MB sd card with a 2GB one coping all file from one to other, but when i went to synchronize with exchange i get the error "not enough memory in your device"... I've about 20MB of free memory...
What can i check to solve this?
TY

Not sure if its related but I've had a simular thing happen to me in the past.
If you have your emails/attachments set to store on the media card then open File Explorer and check to see that you only have one "Storage Card" listed in the directory. If there are any anothers listed then there could be a problem.
Sometimes if you have programs that write information to the storage card and you remove the card the programs when trying to access the card will create a directory on your devices internal memory called "Storage Card" and when you re-insert your removable media it will name it "Storage Card2" or something along those lines.
If this happened then you disable all programs that write to the memory card from doing so. Then sometimes you need to reboot and somethimes not to be able to delete the "Storage Card" out of the devices memory. Then you should be able to re-install the storage card it and it use the "Storage Card" name correctly.
its probably a ram type of issue... not a storage memory.
Try this
Thanks for yours replies, but yesterday i've done an hard reset and all is working fine now...

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on in the root of my Storage Card? (See pic)
Lots of oddly named files have appeared. They cant be renamed, deleted or opened from within either my PPC, via activesink or with a card reader in my XP PC. The dates are very odd too.
I am currently copying all the data off the card so I can format it but was wondering if anyone else has seen this or if they know where they are coming from?
Any info gratefully received!
I got the same problem, but in my camera folder. Same kind of non-sense files appeared and caused my album software to malfunction.
Re-named the folder and created a new "original" and moved my photos there. Everything is working now and I didn't have to format the whole card.
But I too are curious as to why they get created and if there is a clever way to get them removed
fixed
xp's disk error tool fixd it so i guess its just coruption in fat. problem solved but cause not found.
I had the same problem coused by removing my card without closing my phone. Now I shut down the system first and than remove the card.
It continues to say scanning sd card. When I take pics they show up in the gallery app. All my other folders like it use to don't. I formated same problem.
what?

Hi all,
I have noticed for a while that when using apps for downloading wallpapers e.g. Flikie Wallpapers HD, Wedge, Mabilo, Backgrounds, etc. I get messages saying that is not possible to save on the SD card.
Strangely enough if I open Astro file manager almost all files and folders in my phone including those in the phone memory are marked with an -r-, are they then read-only files? If so, could it be the cause of some apps failing to save on the SD card?
If then I connect the phone to my laptop or pc I can then revert the read-only attribute of any file or folder but when I mount the card on the phone again the read-only attribute comes back again.
Here are some examples of apps that I have tried so far:
Wedge:
It seems to be OK being able to save and set those wallpapers and navigating to them with Astro doesn't seem to be a problem although they are still shown as -r-.
Backgrounds:
Saving: "Could not save the image. Please make sure the SD card is inserted and mounted"
Set wallpaper: works OK
Mabilo:
All working OK
I hope someone might be able to help. This is perhaps an easy problem to solve but I'm running out of ideas
I'm using HTC Hero 2.1, T-Mobile UK, original ROM. For the rest the phone works well, so I don't think this is a phone-specific issue...
Thanks for reading my first post
this may be me just being lazy..... but I installed poweramp, then looked for the music which I put on an sd card. It couldn't see the folders, except for the internal memory. the other way to play was to use the library function, but I want folders and to get it to redownload the art.
I tried to move the music with estrong, but it crashed, then I tried with the built in file manager it also crashed, anyone else had this?
I may just go down the usb route....

Hi iamdarren,
No reply for a while, so I will give it a go: first off did you get a notification by the tablet for a plugged in SD card? After I plug in my SD card I get a brief message "preparing sd card" (or something of the sort), then I get SD card icon next to the clock in the lower right corner.
Basically if you don't see any of these, there might be a problem with the SD card. Can you test with a different card?
Good luck,
rio
