Is there any way to port lollipop to a device running jb and both having nearly similar specs. Is there even a remote possiblity?

Sorry should have been more specific. I want to port 5.1.1 from Samsung Galaxy core prime to Samsung Galaxy core duos. I have the stock deodexed ROM of both the phones.

Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. The simple answer is this: you can't. You can only flash firmware that is intended for your device, flashing firmware from another device will almost definitely brick your phone. There is no dedicated section for your phone on XDA but you might be able to find some information on it if you have a look in the Android Development and Hacking section.

That's just a rooted stock ROM though. Unfortunately low-end devices such as this rarely receive any attention from developers. You can keep an eye out in this section though:

hi guys i m using the Samsung galaxy S4 i9500 I dont have any knowledge about rooting of device . I m here to know that my phone is having issues after upgrading to android lollipop 5.0.1 the issues are like hanging,battery drain,app crash, etc so i want to know that does the rooting solve my issue If does then please suggest me what mod should i go for i also dont know which build is to use 11 or 12 so please help me with this
