So far only thing I have noticed is that I cannot switch from default cellular network.
Would prefer LTE CDMA not global. Going to do a reboot and see if I can after.
Can I flash it over CM12.1 or it needs to be a clean install?

All the cm13.0 have this bug right now.
Yes, clean install.
Ahh, didn't know about the all cm13 bug.
Of course this is released after a 3 day weekend I'll have to wait till I know it's stable on 1254 or next weekend. Thanks skrilax

You tell us. It's a preview release right now.
Read the op post completely. That answers your question. Especially read the part under the bolded "preview" heading, where the dev says he's only done minimal testing so far on this.
But a CM13 build is here which you can try.

If you are refering to systemless root then make a backup of your system (just in case) and kernel in case it doesn't work. As this is a preview build not much has been tested on it so try systemless root for yourself and report back. :good:
Just installed. Initial feedback while I setup my device
Gapps used - Here
Works
Root - O yeah (Super SU, flashed from recovery)
Bluetooth - checked streaming audio to my Soundbot
Wifi
Calls - other person can hear me and I can hear him, loudspeaker also works. I am using the Droid Turbo on T-Mobile so can't comment for Verizon
Camera - rear camera pictures and video (video recording has noise, but that's a known issue).
Custom Vibrator Intensity
Screen Rotation
Volume Wake
Double Click Power Button for Camera
Calls via wired Headphones also work
Will test GPS if and when I leave home today
Doesn't Work
Now on Tap
Thanks for the awesome work @Skrilax_CZ

Just got done flashing and re-installing apps! I'll post here if I find anything wrong.
Thanks a lot @Skrilax_CZ!
Awesome, Thanks!!!
Torch not work
Interested to hear some feedback on battery life and app to app performance.
Can someone run a few benchmarks for comparison? CM 12.1 ran smoother than stock but had much lower benchmarks so it'd not a huge factor but interested to know.
I've had good GPS. The only thing I can't get to work is Now on tap. But I hear that this also might be a cm13 thing if you change any of the button settings.
verizon user... will report back shortly
Let me know how the Verizon flash goes... Im at work and don't wanna flash til I hear good news lol

Do you have the US Retail version XT1527?
I'm interested to know whether this works on other moto e lte variants.
I updated the fxz to exclude the bootloader to prevent any potential bricks; so anyone with an unlocked bootloader can flash this and still be able to flash back to any 5.0.2 build without any issues.
Just be sure to have the fxz for your device standing by before trying.
Also renamed the other files, adding the prefix "surnia" to the title to avoid any potential confusion...

my version is XT1524, europe retail LTE
Fastboot file now includes only logo, boot, and system.
Radio and bootloader can be installed using separate flashable zips.
It is recommended to flash radio and bootloader only on devices for which they were intended; logo, boot, and system are safe to flash on any unlocked hardware.
best rom is this stock 5.1 so far, more fluide and battery life
i like stock kernel, cpu is more able to stay at low frequencies, phone more able to stay cool.in CM/aosp it's not the case
Sadly, this phone doesn't have much development, but this is what I've been looking for, I think.
What I understand is that this works like any ROM, right? I can have a backup of my current ROM and flash this and if anything goes wrong I restore and that's it? This doesn't mess with the radio, recovery nor bootloader, so it doesn't matter that my phone is a Retla one with CID 12, as the ROM doesn't mess with that. I make several questions as I bricked my last phone by trying to flash 5.1 firmware with the bootloader unlocked, so I want to be careful. After all, if something goes really wrong, I'll always be able to flash stock firmware.
This is the best ROM I've used (XT1527) so far. I had to wipe the data and let google restore most of my apps to stop Gapps crashes, but it was worth it. I didn't install the radio, bootloader, or recovery zips and am having no problems at all. Re-rooting was easy and Xposed and its modules are working well. All the minor problems I had with AOSP are gone. This is my daily driver.

What's your phone model? What do you mean, when you say you let Google restore your apps?
My phone is the Moto E 2015 LTE Retail US (XT1527). I'm using the google backup/reset in settings and it appears that it backs up non-system apps and restores them on installation if you let it. The associated passwords with the apps, however, had to be re-entered manually. What is restored is:
Google Calendar settings
Wi-Fi networks & passwords
Home screen wallpapers
Gmail settings
Apps installed through Google Play (backed up on the Play Store app)
Display settings (Brightness & Sleep)
Language & Input settings
Date & Time
Third-party app settings & data (varies by app)
Will this work for the xt1511 variant? I have it unlocked, but i'm having trouble getting a custom recovery on it to begin with, and it's not receiving and OTA to 5.1 which is annoying me.

It's highly unlikely it will work and I wouldn't recommend trying it.
But if you're determined, make sure one of these works first so you can recover if necessary:
http://motofirmware.center/files/category/45-moto-e-2nd-generation/
Then flash only the main fastboot zip from the op which includes logo, boot, and system; do NOT flash bootloader, radio, or recovery zips.
on boost mobile version xt1526. flashed the main file but could not get data to work and the boost mobile file from the motofirmware page fails to install on twrp
Retail Fastboot from Carrier
Hi, I'd like to know if by getting this fastboot, being Retail and overriding what's currently installed (Carrier's) it would allow me to carrier unlocking it? Also; if I get this; would my updates come directly from Motorola instead of having to be approved and released by my carrier?
I do have a XT1527 that came directly from my carrier.
Thanks in advanced.

This fastboot requires an unlocked bootloader, and the carrier versions don't have unlockable bootloaders afaik.
Even if you are able to unlock your bootloader, flashing this fastboot will not remove carrier lock if it is present.
Ota is determined by sim, even on the retail version, afaik.
Works well on xt1524 eu.
So far the best voice quality, and the most stable firmware.
Just a heads up, I will be removing the op and the files soon.

At&T/Cricket,verizon doesn't allow bootloader to be unlocked, which is really sad and there should be a law passed that prohibits them from doing that. Us consumers that pay good money for these phones should not have to be locked or prevented from doing what we want with them. I don't understand why it hasn't been illegal yet.
The sprint,Boost, and consumer cellular Models should have unlockable bootloaders and the Moto dev site should provide the codes

Just a reminder. The firmware in this thread is the newest stock Motorola firmware for Verizon Droid Turbo. For some reason people keep flashing an older version (without the extra -5) because they see that first. So, I'm replying in this thread to bump it up. Use RSD Lite or FASTBOOT to flash/install.
However, if you want a custom ROM for Droid Turbo, then the stock-based custom ROM below is based on this same Verizon Marshmallow firmware (MCG24.251-5-5):
Computerfreek274_1.0.8 Update Marshmallow 6.0.1 Global,De-bloated,Root,Volte, 5/29/17
based on Verizon Motorola stock firmware MCG24.251-5-5
https://forum.xda-developers.com/dr.../computerfreek274mm1-0-android-6-0-1-t3503634
If you unlock your bootloader and want to run just a tweaked, debloated ROM that still gets Verizon VoLTE and Verizon Wi-Fi calling (and ONLY on Verizon, no other carriers), then you can run that Computerfreek274 ROM and also have TWRP, root, etc.
But, if you don't use Verizon or don't care about Verizon VoLTE, then there's tons of Nougat custom ROMs that will give you lots more options:
[ROMs][Quarks][List for Moto Maxx and Droid Turbo]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73917795&postcount=91
All the ROMs on that CM/LOS list are fully compatible with all Quarks:
Droid Turbo XT1254,
Moto Turbo XT1225,
U.S. Moto Maxx XT1250,
"international" Moto Maxx XT1225.
However Computerfreek274 ROM is really only for Droid Turbo XT1254 as it's based on Verizon stock firmware.
There's no Quark Oreo custom ROMs yet, but will be in 2018.
______
* IF you wish to unlock the bootloader and root your Droid Turbo XT1254 for any of the custom ROMs, follow this guide and ONLY this guide:
[GUIDE] How to unlock your bootloader, install TWRP and gain root access
https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/guide-how-to-unlock-bootloader-install-t3292684
For any of the Moto Quarks, you will NEED to unlock your bootloader for permanent root. On the Verizon Droid Turbo that requires paid Sunshine bootloader unlock app. There's no other way to unlock the bootloader and get permanent root for the Droid Turbo, so please don't ask. It's been asked a thousand times and we're tired of answering. Verizon demanded Motorola keep the Droid Turbo bootloader locked down, and Sunshine devs were brilliant enough to provide a solution.
_______
* IF you have any other Quark (Moto Turbo XT1225, U.S. Moto Maxx XT1250, "international" Moto Maxx XT1225), then you can use this guide below and it has FREE bootloader unlock from Motorola.

To remove the Verizon bloatware manually, you need to have root and unlocked bootloader.
These are all the ROMs (below) you can flash on your Droid Turbo. You at least need unlocked bootloader and TWRP custom recovery installed to flash one of these ROMs. Every one of these ROMs is compatible with Droid Turbo. Read the description of each and see which one you want. There are a couple of "stock" Marshmallow ROMs towards the bottom of the list (under OTHER), two of which do not have Verizon bloatware. One is "tweaked" Verizon firmware (but there's a version without Verizon bloatware), while the other of ROM is pure Motorola stock based on "International" (but works on the Droid Turbo). Read the "MARSHMALLOW -- OTHER" category carefully.
[ROMs][Quarks][List for Moto Maxx and Droid Turbo]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75256703&postcount=92
The other option is just to flash one of the popular Nougat custom ROMs, which of course have no Verizon crap on it.
A Droid Turbo with S-OFF, huh? I didn't know HTC made Droid Turbos
Note about upgrading from ComputerFreek_MM_1.0.4 to build 1.0.8
For those of you upgrading from "Computerfreek274_MM_1.0.4 Marshmallow 6.0.1" to "Computerfreek274_MM_1.0.8 Marshmallow 6.0.1", this might be useful data.
After making your TWRP backup ( ), download both the "Computerfreek274_MM_1.0.8 Marshmallow 6.0.1" zip file and the older SuperSU 2.62 zip file that was originally found to be the version that allowed root access for the Droid Turbo. This is the link for the latter (copied from "https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-maxx/general/guide-how-to-unlock-moto-maxx-moto-t3455341"):
BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651
https://download.chainfire.eu/751/SuperSU/
After flashing the new 1.0.8 ROM (don't check the "Automatically reboot" option), I manually rebooted directly back into Recovery (Home menu-> Reboot -> Recovery), and flashed SuperSU 2.62. After SuperSU installed, I rebooted to System. All was good! Root access was in place, verified with Root Checker and SuperSU; all of the root-dependent apps worked.
The "reboot directly back into Recovery" step might not be necessary; I did it that way, just in case.
Background data:
I originally installed (flashed) the MM ROM build 1.0.4 with SuperSU (i.e., not Magisk). This note applies to that scenario. I use "Root Checker" to verify root.
After I flashed the new 1.0.8 ROM and rebooted, root access was not available; however, everything else was in perfect condition with no additional steps (widgets in place, non-root apps running, etc.).
What was wrong was that it "lost" root-access status. Both Root Checker and SuperSU (the most recent version) reported that the device was no longer rooted and root-dependent apps were non-functioning.
I re-read a couple of posts by @ChazzMatt about rooting the Droid Turbo (see the above link, which also has the SuperSU file as an attachment). While reading it and another comment in a different thread (about the earlier SuperSU version being the only one that seems to work for Turbo rooting), I said to myself, "Hmmm, I wonder if..."
Sure enough, the 2.62 version was the "fix". Smooth and easy, once you know about it.
After that, I installed the most recent version of SuperSU from the Play Store. All is fine!
BTW, the move to the new 1.0.8 ROM was worth it for the battery tweeks alone, IMO. In "standby" and no radios on, I saw a 1% drop in the same amount of time that I previously saw a 10% drop. Whoa! Nice! Well done, @computerfreek !
These are the whole firmwares to be flashed independently. No need to do 7 before 711.
Anyone that uses this to upgrade the Chinese phone to Nougat please post how you did it. There are many waiting for a solution.
I copied the whole Mac directory for 711. There are many support files there and a backup & restore apk which will not work stand-alone.
From Mac upgrade assistant.
I zipped the folder from: User/library/application support/.msu/addison_verizon_oem_vzw_user_7.0_NDNS25.137-24-1-4_4_release-keys-cid2_vzw
March patch.
BTW it updates without any data wipe or option to data wipe if you wanted to! Via the assistant that is.
Unlike Moto's recommendations, go figure...
BTW, BTW
Anyone know if apps can be extracted from a FXZ?
I only used this from the upgrade assistant and it did not wipe any user data.
There were some fastboot files (and such) in the .msu folder but when I went back later to show hidden files on wifes El Capitan msu was gone. I was at risk of great peril messing with wifes Mac. My Lion will not run it.
How it it working for everyone?
Request,
Could some kind soul upload Nougat apps (and privapps) from a Z and Z force?
I use them as fake apps in the Play, a way of disabling sys apps.
Root is not needed, more if you need help

Yekollu was particle right, but if we unlock bootloader on 1635-03 we can easy flash fw for other region on our phones.
I think they have retail, flashed by Gearbest and - if they have unlocked bl - they can flash any other region's ROM with RSD LITE. BUT I THINK - if they Don't wanna to have bricks - they must flash FW only with RSD lite.. )
---------- Post added at 09:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:43 AM ----------
By the way - if people just want to have 7.1.1 - it will be better for them - to flash TWRP and any custom ROM with it.
Anyway - they will not get OTA update on any custom stock based ROMs. And it will be better for them- don't try to sideload OTA via ADB.

If people want pure stock they can just
flash with RSD lite any FW from here
I tried it all ))

Hi, I have a XT1635-03 on retcn channel, my device is encrypted, I have the dual sim version it runs on android 6.0.1, I've never rooted it and I'm not planning to... I have a few questions and I would be very thankful if you could answer them:
1)do you have the dual sim version? do both sims work fine after the update?
2)did you flash the rom straight from 6.0.1?
3)are there any issues like with camera, notification sound, swipe to shrink screen,...?
4)why do you suggest for the Chinese version users to flash a stock based custom rom with TWRP? it doesn't give you update capability or factory reset option!
5)is there a specific way to unlock the bootloader "officially"?
6)what's with the bat file you talked about? (sorry I'm kind of a noob)
7)the link you mentioned doesn't have the 7.1.1 version... isn't it better to flash the rom provided on this thread?
I'm sorry to ask this many questions... thanks in advance

1. I have dual SIM version. Both sim cards works perfectly
2. At first I flash a lot of AOSP / LOS based ROMs ))
3. I have no any issues.
4. If you ll try to get OTA - you could have brick. So - don't use updates.
5. Yes. Just Google it
6. It's flash(or something like).bat - file in archive.
7. I'm taking about this ROM. It will be better and more safety to flash it for newbies.
You can also try ROM from this thread, but it have to many Verizon apps..

thanks so much for the help...
so if I flash the rom from this thread and try to update it later, I'll probably have risk of a hard brick, is that correct?
I only prefer this rom compared to one you mentioned because this one here is "stock", it's more reliable, and I don't need to install TWRP... so considering these, tell me if it's still better for me to flash the stock based custom rom from "flashallthtime" (the one you mentioned)
with very little activity lately for the LGV20, especially with the unlocked US996 variant, I created a TWRP flashable package for the recent US99610k release. this zip flash every partition included in the latest KDZ package with the exception of recovery to keep TWRP. standard disclaimer applies, you do all of this at YOUR OWN risk! because I have not tested this yet, I can't verify whether 10k is rootable or not or if there's Anti-RollBack (ARB), so you need to be root'd before flashing this! failure to do so will probably cause you to lose root and/or lose TWRP! if 10k does have ARB you won't be able to downgrade. stay tuned on this.
NOTE1: you can find the partitions that will be flashed in the updater-script. to be extra cautious you can back up all of the partitions that will be overwritten with the following: dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/{partition} of=/external_sd/backup/{partition}.img.
NOTE2: boot partition has been modified only to remove rctd, nothing else so I consider this to still be stock
Instructions:
download US99610.zip file listed below and put on microSD card
download your choice of root and put on microSD card, choose from either Magisk or SuperSU *Note: v12.0 of Magisk does not work with the LGV20 device in general and v14.0 is recommended.
backup any data from internal "SD card"
boot into TWRP (requires TWRP recovery to already be installed)
create a TWRP backup of the device
flash zip from microSD card by using "Install"
FLASH YOUR CHOICE OF ROOT - Flashing root is VERY IMPORTANT BEFORE REBOOTING!
reboot
profit!

Flashing Process (what flashing this zip does):
flash necessary partition images with the exception of recovery (to keep TWRP) from the KDZ
rename /system/recovery-from-boot.p to /system/recovery-from-boot.bak to prevent stock recovery from being installed on boot
wipes dalvik-cache and cache

haha, thank you for helping me correct that!
Hmmmm. Not tested you say.... Nervous I am. Have time to fix using computer I do not.
I've been running 10k for almost a week now and haven't seen any issues. I can't necessarily speak for this ZIP, though. Taking a glance at it things look good.
One thing I'd like to point out is an issue I saw reported by another user. They stated that after they flashed US Cellar US996 updates their Unlocked US996 device was being picked up as the US Cellular device when attempting to use the LG website bootloader unlock. This is most likely due to the US Cellular bootloader being flashed and the device reporting a US Cellular device ID. This hasn't caused any issues when your device has already been bootloader-unlocked but I would not suggest that users re-lock their bootloader when running this US Cellular firmware as you may risk running into problems unlocking. The same user had also reported that they just flashed the 10f kdz with LGUP to correct the problem but not a risk I'd like to see anyone take. Just a word of caution.

Thanks for the heads up.
Can you confirm what security patch 10k is up to on the 996? Any other documented updates/fixes?

If it's just a security update there won't be any visual differences.
I just installed and everything is as it was on 10h, save for the security date.
Thank you.
I flashed from US99610h to US99610k with no issues. I did not flash supersu or magistick after flashing the firmware because I need to use uverse app. So far 24 hours with no issue or crash.
I extracted this modem (actually I just removed everything else from the zip and modified the script file) because I wanted to see if the newer modem fixed some streaming issues I had. I'm on Lineage, but it looks like the modem keeps crashing. It works fine for a few minutes while streaming music but then crashes and takes the WiFi and LTE with it for a few seconds.
Shouldn't this updated modem work with 7.1?

Hello, my phone stuck in Logo LG. But before I was in the red triangle and I thought that installing this would work well. But now the bootloader has been blocked and I can no longer enter recovery. And I have happened to install by fastboot the recovery stock but I can not find that file anywhere.
Somebody can help me please?
Edit. The LGUP detect the phone but with unknow model. I put the dll in common and doesnt work. I dont know how to unbrick my phone
Edit 2: I think the OEM is blocked, because I tried the "fastboot oem lock" command and it says it was already blocked, then try to unlock it "fastboot oem unlock" and says: FAILED (remote: unknown command). I think it's because the box was unchecked in Settings> General> Development, but the problem is that I can not boot to activate it.
10l has been released for the US Cellular 996: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-us996-firmwares/
I confirmed with a US Cellular rep that 10l includes:
KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability fix
BlueBorne fix (for SPLs September 1 or later)
Anyone with enough brains and heart to put together a .zip for the plebs?

Just follow the instructions in the OP. You need to reflash the Magisk 14 image immediately after flashing the 10L zip.
Anyone know if the radio in either one of these is improved? - I have an unlocked US996 (from B&H photo, not US cellular) and regardless if I am using Verizon or AT&T, my current ROM's (US99610f) radio is very weak in weak signal areas - much crappier phones get much better signal in weak areas. I am hoping a new radio has solved this. It is the only thing I dislike about the V20
Also, with my standard unlocked US996 (already bootloader unlocked via LG developer website) am I better off with 10k or 10l ?

Be careful, when I flashed this to my unlocked US996 on Verizon I lost all data, and furthermore could not restore stock without uppercut. I think it's bound to US cellular, these firmwares.

I'm not sure what you did, no, you shouldn't have lost your data nor is it bound to US Cellular devices. I have the 10L zip running on my unlocked 996 without any issue. I flashed it via TWRP from 10K and didn't lose anything.
I would just like to say that I was a late comer to this phone and its been a long time since I've had a decent phone I could BL unlock, root, and tweak to my geek hearts content. The information on this particular forum, is so spread out and contradicting, it was a bit disheartening, but I eventually took my Verizon G7 from the original stock fw
G710VM10f to LOS20 without a single issue, and I'd like to just relay the exact steps I took, just in case some one might find it helpful.
So, starting from 100% stock Verizon fw...
***CREATED BACKUPS***and then:
1. Unlocked Bootlader - I followed the steps exactly, skipping 15-23
2. Crossflashed to g710em30f - LGUP DUAL or any LG UP with Partition DL option is acceptable.
3. Added OrangeFox | LineageOS 20 | MindTheGapps to my SD Card.
4. Rebooted into EDL
5. Used QFIL to flash ofox_metadata.img to boot_a and boot_b
6. Rebooted into OF recovery and did a full format and typed 'YES'.
7. Flashed LineageOS .zip (DO NOT REBOOT)
8. Flashed OrangeFox-R11.0_2.3-Stable-judyln.zip (Reboots to recovery automatically)
9. Flashed MindTheGapps
10. Flashed Magisk (Using OrangeFox built-in method)
11. OrangeFox Menu --> Manage Partitions --> Select Data --> Change FS --> F2FS
12. Reboot
13. PROFIT!
NOTE: I included my rooted boot img file just in case anyone needs it (30G EM FW)
I had to install the Magisk Manager upon completion of setup, but everything else went flawlessly, my service works just fine, all the other weird little issues I've seen people having were absent in my particular experience. So, follow my steps and I would imagine the same would be allowed for others. If there is any questions on specifics, I'd be happy to answer them. Also, its been a while since I've been active here, but hope all is well with everyone and glad to be back.
Good luck!
Sweet!I'm a newbie on the G7 side as well, and have the same Verizon variant!Sad fact,I have AT&T as my carrier and in the states I haven't seen not 1 CFW works with the service due to IMS b.s.!I did manage to switch to the Brightpoint ULM firmware and it works 100%.Good post though!Good to see others are still using the G7!
I'm still running my LG G7 (Verizon, Verizon as the carrier, stock, rooted, debloated, etc) on Android 9.
Nice to see this guide here, just in case I want/need to switch.
You mentioned that your service works fine, which is great to hear:
Some questions:
- Are you on Verizon as a carrier?
- do you have VoLTE working? (I'm assuming 'yes', since you said service is fine.)
I had heard that LineageOS and VoLTE (and anything else that required IMS) was a problem -- has this been fixed? Or, perhaps, was it that your phone was previously activated using the stock ROM?
thanks!

I am currently on Verizon, yes, in Michigan if that helps, the service works great, if not better because I opened up a few other bands myself, but I wont be explaining all that here.
As for Volte, as far as I'm aware, Volte will never work on an Android 10+ rom, and that isn't likely to change unfortunately, but I can live without Volte if it means I can run A13 on this bad boy...lol
If you try A13 out. lemme know how it goes and if you thought it was worth it, if you wouldn't mind.
Thanks!

It doesn't!I have have already tried it myself.Like he stated in his last post,IMS will probably never work on any custom rom.Not as of yet anyway!
Well the thing is, since Verizon turned off all the 3G service at the end of the year, and @IJoxer was saying above that his service is working fine -- sure seems like there's gotta be IMS working somehow? (It is also highly possible that I don't understand all the details about how voice can be made to work in a post 3G world...)

The Verizon variant is the easiest to cross flash! No partition erasing needed, and I'm using Brightpoint firmware on my Verizon variant and my carrier is AT&T.Everything works except wifi calling, but I didn't care about that anyway! As goes for CFW's,it's a lost cause at the moment in the states unless some magical trick surfaces.
