I bought a new phone Tesla Smartphone 6.1 (is the same as Ulefone Paris) and i just dont see "Move to SD card" option in Settings>Apps. Even in Storage i set my default write disk to SD card, but even when i install a new app it goes to internal memory. Is there a way i can move apps (such as 9gag, Ashpalt 8, etc..) to sd card? Without beeing rooted. And by the way is using Android 5.1. Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
I believe that moving apps to the microsd card is a root feature that you can use from xposed modules or from apps on the play store. So you must root your phone in order to move apps to the sd card.

Hi guys,
I have android kitkat, which is OS with has disabled function of moving app data (obb files) to external SD card. My device is Huawei Ascend G620S-L01 (same as Honor 4 Play). I have root. I am browsing this and other forums for 2 days. Clean master says that my device does not allow to move apps to SD. Other app says that there is no need to move apps, because sd card is shared (wtf?). Then I tried mounting (Foldermount) and many other mount programs, but they do not function (app misses its data and tries to download them again). I tried to reboot, I checked if the files are really mounted etc. I tried also SD unlockers. I must be doing something wrong or what. Please help me. Thank you
Hi there,
I'm sorry but I can't find anything related to your question/device:

link2sd
Link2sd works fine, but does only what stock tools do - transfer the small part of the app, not the obb. There are some more tools at the bottom, but they need two separate partitions on my SD. I will try to create them.
EDIT: Link2sd is not supposed to move obb files, and that is actually what I need.
EDIT2: My phone has also emulated SD card, may this somehow influence the problem?
EDIT3: I really think it has something to do with the emulated SD card, because I tried another app - root all data2sd, which creates its own partition, and should create it on SD card. In my mobile, it creates partition on emulated SD.
stupid me
Okay guys, I am feeling so stupid, 3 days of trying and everything, HUAWEI HAS AN OPTION FOR IT I just had to switch SD card as main memory, and *it works*, I moved all data to sd card and it works. No root was needed. No app needed. You can close this thread.
Hi!
I recently used application Mounts2sd on my samsung galaxy XCover2 (s7710) to move the apps from internal storage to sd (i am running Cyanogenmod 10.1). I moved my applications and media files to sd card, but I left the cache and system apps on internal storage. After that my applications started lagging (UC Browser is lagging all the time for example), so I would like to move the apps back from sd card to internal storage. Is this possible without previous backup? Or do I have to factory reset the phone? I didn't find anything on that subject on google.... Thank you in advance!

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I have had much luck in the past with Link2SD:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Apps and Games > [APP][1.6+] Link2SD
It leverages space on or SD card by way of a second partition (any size you want, but 2GB is probably enough). If you like it and get the Pro version, you can move the app data to the SD card as well (where the free version moves mostly the APK itself).
Please note, Android still has to download to internal storage, so you may get download fails on larger apps. But without repacking your kernel with a modified fstab (which causes signature and performance problems), Link2SD is your best bet.
Any questions about the app, can be asked in the above thread (once registered for an account)
Hope this helps.
Hi, so I've been searching with no solution. I'm on a CM13/Android 6.01 rom, SuperSU rooted and using Xposed. ExternalSD is a 128GB Samsung EVO+ and is setup as "portable storage" (Exfat). I am having SD card write access problems since the upgrade to Marshmallow. Titanium can't write to my external SD and then all my non-root apps can't get SD card permission, the most glaring is F-stop's option to allow SD card access in it settings (this is supposed to call the native picker so you can grant access to the SD card) crashes on press. Yet Solid explorer, Apps2SD and all my other root apps besides Titanium seem to have SD card access fine.
So what I am looking for is links/info links on any of the following:
1) Any Xposed/root app that bypasses the SD card restrictions for all apps. Recognized dev Defim is the only one I could fine that is still being maintained but it seems that it doesn't work on Marshmallow.
2) Instructions on how do I manually give external SD card write access to each app individually in CM13.
3) Reaching here but: What binary is used when the picker is called to give external SD card access to an app? I run Xprivacy but to be clear, I have disabled Xprivacy (unchecked the module in Xposed and rebooted) and still had the same problem, but I would like to observe the binary and see what permissions it is using to at least start to troubleshoot this.
4) Any other threads with other options for fixing Android external SD card permissions issues on Marshmallow?
Thanks for any link assist!

Might you have some other links I could try? Not for lack of trying, this forum has some great helpful users, but that didn't work. Last reply there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65578227&postcount=15479.
Hello guys! I recently bought a gionee P5W,the phone is really good looking and a fast tasker. However I am facing a problem the external sd card(16gb) is being shown as sdcard0 however it should be sdcard1 also all the system files from camera images,Bluetooth files to apps downloaded from third-party appstore everything is being stored in this external sd card also there are certain apps which are caches & data in both internal & external storage at this rate my external sd card run out of space I use that card in multiple devices so I can't afford that also in case I remove it some stop working. When I checked in settings and the phone's bundled file explorer there the external sd card was shown as external storage but can't find any way to correct this. Also this all started after I removed external sd while the phone was running, and when I put it back error was shown "sd card damaged
Please format to use" but I continued without formating I think this info will useful to ones who may try to solve problem . I will tell about my phone, its a gionee P5W with 1gb ram, 1.3ghz quad-core arm 7, and android lollipop
So I want to stop & want that card to be shown as sdcard 1 like all other android devices and store data in its internal storage. Please If anyone can help, please help me I will highly gratefull to you.
