Getting close to unbrick procedure. Need help from someone with NXT-AL10. - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone.
Amazingly, I'm getting very close to being able to unbrick my phone.
I'm hoping that someone with AL-10 can confirm something:
If you download HiSuite from here... http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_cn/
Then you boot your phone in fastboot and plug it in, and choose the recovery option (System Recovery, with wrench icon) can you actually recover?
If you can actually recover, please let me know, and I will figure out what needs to be spoofed to allow my phone to recover as well! Please give it a try!

Just to clarify on what I'm doing:
If I spoof fastboot to return the following for fastboot getvar rescue_phoneinfo I can get HiSuite to download recovery for the Mate 7.
rescue_phoneinfo: MT7-TL00C01B351\nfinished. total time: 0.000s
For whatever reason, HiSuite doesn't want to support my phone (NXT-AL10C00B129SP02) not can I spoof anything NXT-AL10 that will allow it to proceed.
So hopefully, I can figure this out if someone else's Mate 8 works with the restore feature, what to spoof, and how to make it work.

So, as a final update regarding this, it doesn't matter, there's nothing I can do.
I completely reverse engineered the way HiSuite recovers devices, but there's no way to recover my phone, unfortunately.

aw man this sucks big time...

Stuck with bootloader/eRecovery

Some context:
My MHA-L29C432B138 with TWRP got an OTA update on the phone itself, and I wanted to update (it wanted me to update to B182).
Since I had TWRP replacing the stock recovery I could not flash it through the normal way, so I went ahead to replace TWRP with the stock recovery so I could update.
I was unable to flash the stock recovery since I had no access to flashing in fastboot (FRP Lock, PHONE Unlocked, OEM unlocking option greyed out in developer settings), so I attempted to relock so I could unlock again, hoping that would solve my issue (fastboot oem relock KEY).
By doing this my phone went into a reset, now I'm stuck at FRP Lock, PHONE Relocked, and I can only access the bootloader and eRecovery.
eRecovery is attempting to download updates but fails every time, and I can't use HiSuite to do a system recovery neither (says my device is not supported).
So this is where I'm stuck, any help would be nice!

Try to unlock after this.
This does low-level format.
My device: Mate 9 supersu B190 Mediapad X2 GEM 701->703 B212 KangVIP (AJ mod)
Everything in fastboot (flashing, locking, unlocking) was unavailable, eRecovery was not working, HiSuite said my device was not supported, and dload didn't work neither (tried 3 different firmware versions).
After spending 1-2 hours on Telegram with others I ended up using funkyhuawei with eRecovery, only thing that worked for me.
Last time I buy a Huawei device for sure, their own services don't even work (eRecovery, HiSuite).

As I said here, for your case the patched HiSuite method would have worked. But it's too late now, you paid, I was in holidays.. I know it's a shame that HiSuite says unsupported or erecovery not working but you could have made your phone compatible by writing some text in a file and using Lucx's script instead of paying funkyhuawei, their service never worked for me.

I'm on the same situation after a ROM installation using HWOTA failed, I don't want to pay $50 to unbrick the phone, could you please give me instructions on how to get this patched hisuite or which file I have to modify?
Thanks!

Hi, am on the same situation, could you plz provide detailed steps to patch hisuite am unable to find any lucx's script.
i got my phone bricked like this
I could fix my phone flashing a factory firmware using DC Phoenix (Yes, I have to pay).
I Flash MHA-AL00 first, then I use eRecovery to install the latest stock firmware and finally HCU Client to repair the empty board (IMEI, S/N, MAC, etc).
I had the same then suddenly it is hardbricked no charging no nothing . It was a 1 month old phone. I didnt do anything other than downloading a c636 oreo and i was c185. But i received it trough the system update using firmware finder and even it authenticated itself. Even installed it with no problem. Then suddenly it broke and after soft brick became hard brick nothing. Now it in service centre i hope they can fix it. It is under warranty. pray for me
help me please
i have the same problem what should i do please help

honor 8 bricked bootloop

Hi, I have a honor 8 that bootloops I can only access to fastboot not in bootloader or recovery. Bootloader is locked, i can't flash anything and i can't unlock it because I don't have the Product ID. The dload and three fingers method doesn't work. What can I try to unbrick it? I can't even turn it off.

Which number of firmware you tried via dload??
Which firmware number you were on before issue??
When you say that the dload method doesn't work, what do you get when you try it ? You have to flash the proper firmware for your phone, otherwise it will deny it, you can maybe use a rollback package.
Try the Huawei tool ... U can fix it easily and you can play around don't panic it's the first thing ...

Maybe you are doing it wrong. As long as you have a stock boot.img and a stock recovery you should be able to use this method.

If you mean Hisuite I already tried it. my PC detects the phone and hisuite launches by itself but then doesn't detect any phones. when I try the rescue tool "resuce mode enter..." appears on the screen but then hisuite says that the phone isn't compatible with the rescue mode.

Alright I think this is a good point , now that you can use the dload method you need to know under which EMUI version you were because the phone won't accept a firmware that is lower or to high compared to your actual EMUI version.
What I did when I was in your case is flashing a rollback package downloaded from honor official site and then flash an old EMUI which is under Android 6.x.
After a few tries you can make it, I hope I've been clear, English isn't my native language

Ok here i go ... Open the Huawei tool ... And follow steps to install TWRP ...turn of the phone , once it's off hold the volume button down then connect the phone to the PC that would take to some type of fastboot ! Flash recovery the 2 option .... Reboot into TWRP .. from the Huawei tool u would see and option of stock i think there u can copy the recovery OEM info system and boot option flash them all one by one .... Reboot the phone ... And you would be redirected to recovery from WiFi and now it would work since u flash the OEM info now the phone knows what to look for u won't get the getting info failed ... And that's it just makes sure u have a good stable WiFi connection ...
And like a said the more calm and relax u do these the better the first time I screw the phone I almost get a heart atack :crying: it's easy
Unable to get Product ID - Honor 8

My Honor 8 broke after it downloaded and installed the very first update. Since the failed 'update' I am NOT able to access Android at all. The phone was stuck on the Huawei eRecovery screen which fails to connect via wi-fi and is unable to connect or retrieve any information from the server to update and repair the phone. I was able to use a 'roll-back' package and install the stock firmware (FRD-AL10), but since I have done the roll-back and restored the stock firmware the phone boots to the first screen where you select your 'Region', then the 'Language', WiFi connection, Agree to the Terms & Conditions, then skip the following steps for Cloud and something else - after all this it goes back to the 'REGION' selection screen, then again the Language selection screen and so on - it just loops and never boots into Android.
Thus I am unable to get the Product ID, the unlock code, etc.
The phone is still locked and UNrooted as all the other solutions rely on the phone being UNlocked and Rooted - but since I DON'T have access to Android I cannot do anything with the phone.
Can someone help me to retrieve the Product ID from an essentially 'DEAD' Honor 8 phone??

I have followed this 'dload' process to load the stock 'FRD-AL10 - ...C00B135' onto my Honor 8, it completes successfully then the phone reboots to where I have to select the Region, then Language, then WiFi, then agree to the Agreement, etc.. then the phone 'loops' back to the Region, Language, WiFi, selection and everything from start.
Is there a way to get past this 'loop' to the point where the phone actually boots into Android?? I cannot access the Product ID, unlock or root the phone.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Does it keep it up to date? I had an update come through for my watch 2 pro the other day and now I have a rather cutesy Chinese new year background I can rotate as well as additional tips and much better functionality.
my main reason for wanting to flash it is I want the Google support
Could somebody direct me which ROM to flash and a bit guidance if possible.
I have:
Huawei Watch 2 PRO Chinese version and want to flash it to English
LEO-DLXXU
Huawei-Watch 2 0380
I have the same issue with my newly bought HW1. I can't get it to work with my computer. I set it to ADB enabled, but still the pc isn't able to see the watch. I can't find it in 'devices'.
I could use a little bit of help as well. I tried to get it into fastboot mode, that worked, but my pc just won't see it...
It is still locked
Huawei Watch 2 Pro has the same codename as Huawei Watch 2 4G (sawshark) and can work with such ROMs.
I was able to unlock bootloader, flash TWRP, the ROM and the Kernel via fastboot. As I got the watch recently and it was already on Oreo, there was no need to flash the bootloader. I recommend using the odexed version of the ROM as the deodexed version was too slow to boot or run.
After flashing I'm able to properly pair the watch with Wear OS from Play Store, although you will still need to register a Huawei ID if you need to take advantage of eSIM connectivity.
Again, you should only flash if you have already backed things up and have ways to recovery from failures (inability to boot aka brick) in case things went wrong. Also, you need to boot to system a second time to let the data partition reinitialized, when you unlock the bootloader.
Hi, what happened to your "Huawei watch 2 PRO" matter ?
I were able to flash the rom to my pro 2 without any issues.

I can confirm that the 4g NXG46W from from https://forum.xda-developers.com/watch-2/development/rom-huawei-watch-2-4g-l-09s-global-t3602205 works perfectly on Hauwei Watch 2 Pro Leo-DLXXU model. After flashed (without flashing the bootloader) the watch works fine and 4G connectivity is right there on the watch's menu and on the Huawei Health app on phone. However I cannot test the eSim connectivity as my operator is net yet support the eSim on watch. After rom is flashed, the watch did OTA update 3-4 times, now the latest rom on my watch is Oreo with build number OWDE.180215.017
Hope this helps.

Hi mohamed cheikhna, I am in the same situation. Did you get any feedback about how to do this?

Any way to unbrick a P40 Pro? "Your device has loaded a different operating system"

So like a dummy I flashed the wrong firmware on my P40 Pro. LGRP6 instead of LGRP4. Now when booting it says "Your device has loaded a different operating system" and then goes straight to erecovery. In eRecovery, downloading and restoring the system doesn't work because it fails to retrieve package info.
I already tried everything possible with HiSuite Proxy, too. I read bricking a P40 Pro this way requires to replace the motherboard, but not sure how true that is. My phone is still under warranty, but I'd prefer to fix it myself, if possible.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes, I just get retrieving package info failed. Every time
Then it seems motherboard replacement is the only known option left.
Same issue with me
I spent a month to fix it and didn't find a way.
I tried Chimera Mobile and it didn't helped.
The only thing that probably can help is SigmaKey software. If anybody has it please check and say did it helped or not.
Huawei don't want to replace it by warranty for me, that is why I try everything.

I can't find anybody with SigmaKey. Probably I'll go to replace the motherboard in the nearest future.
Other methods definetely don't help.
Do you have any update? Please share if yes.
Hi all! My device is finally fixed! It was fixed by disassembly, hardware testpoint and flashing of Android 11 via SigmaKey!
You have to find a very expirienced person to do this work. I can recommend one person in Moscow, Russia in private messages.
Disassembly is probably necessary

After 4 days trying everythingI found also a guy who told me exactly what you are saying. disassembly is required because of the test point. No other way currently.
SoI will go to a phone shop tomorrow to disassemble the back cover of my P40Pro+. Then the guy will do the whole flashing process via remote. But it's paid service for 30$. I decided to do or because I wanna use this phone.

The only other way is to try to replace the motherboard by warranty.
However, in my case Huawei refused me this.
I think 30$ is a good price because it was very difficult for me to find a person good enough to do it.
Hi guys. Just posting a small update here. I found a xda user who accepted to help me unbrick my P40 Pro for a donation via remote desktop. He will be using paid tools and hopefully it will unbrick the device. I'll post another update soon, to let you guys know the outcome. Fingers crossed!

It is not always possible without disassembly. (Like was in my case)
I wish you good luck but be ready for disassembly.
Another update. First of all big thanks to @oslo83 for accepting to help me with my bricked P40 Pro. Unfortunately things didn't go our way and the device is still bricked. The problem is that I flashed LGRP6 EMUI 11, with EMUI 10.1 preload & cust. A ****ty situation but it is what it is. @oslo83 advised me to take the device to Huawei repair center (it's still under warranty) and that's what I'm going to do.
However if anyone has a bricked P40 Pro, I still recommend oslo83 services, there's a chance your brick is different from mine and that he will be able to unbrick it. If not, he will issue a refund like he did for me.
Hi guys, I have a brilliant update for you guys:
The guy I was working on this issue was able to fix my phone remotely with SigmaKey. After hours of tries he made it!
There is no software solution yet - so the back cover has to be dissembled. I went to a phone shop at the corner and let them open it. After removing ca. 10 screws you can reach the "Test Point". There are some videos on YouTube which can support you. Its not easy but its makable.
The genius guy gives a step by step instruction what to do via WhatsApp.
So at the end my P40Pro+ works again and I am so happy! I will start the downgrade now (to install gms)and I will DEFINITELY use the correct FW this time
I can share the contact - send me a private message.
Another update hopefully the next one will be the FINAL one.
So like @oslo83 suggested, I contacted Huawei via chat on their official site. They accepted to repair my device for free with no problem. I sent my phone to the repair center and now I simply have to wait. The person in the Huawei chat told me it could take up to two weeks. And another thing, they let me know the phone will be updated to the latest firmware, so I probably won't be able to downgrade and install GMS, unless there is a way to install it on EMUI 11 (not sure). But at least I'll have a working P40 Pro again
I have the same problem. I'm tryingto fix it with hsuite proxy and the phone in fastboot&rescue mod
In HiSuiteConfig.xml I added to be able to enter the recovery mode
<rule type="ELS-N29" cnName="HUAWEI P40 Pro" enName="HUAWEI P40 Pro" option="" ></rule>
I'm testing to flash this:
Base version: ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.176
Custom version: ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.8(C432)
Preload version: ELS-N29-PRELOAD 10.1.0.2(C432R5)
Checked "Recovery OS", CUST PKG and Preloaded PKG
So far it connects
I can download and unpack the firmware on the phone
but then I have an error-message on (Installing 0%) telling me, that on this phone the recovery mode is not available. I'm trying with different base firmware - but every attempt takes a lot of time.

It looks like I have flashed the following:
"FirmWare" : "ELS-LGRP4-OVS 11.0.0.170"
"FirmWare" : "ELS-N29-CUST 11.0.0.3(C301)"

Question the boot.img file was downloaded to my phone to root it and then it has no identifiable imei number

the boot.img file was loaded into my phone in order to get root after that it could not detect imei numbers. Although they are in fastboot. I tried many different firmwares for this phone, but there is no result! I ask for your help. I was left without communication (sorry for not being very clear. I don't understand Russian and don't understand English at all, that's why I'm writing through a translator
The first thing you want to do is STOP FLASHING random images. It sounds like you are going to cause more harm than good if you keep going.
Figure out which firmware you started on (WW, EU, CN) and get the raw firmware for it. Follow the instructions to flash the raw firmware.
If that doesn't work, then you may need to contact the manufacturer, BUT at least you will be restored to stock. I cannot promise they will help you, but it sounds like you did more than flash a boot image. The IMEI is not stored there.

Tell me where you can find the pure CN firmware? This phone was presented to me in this form already. And they told what happened to him. I doubt that ASUS support will help me, since in addition to everything according to the owner, the EMMCCDL_GUI utility was used. So I ask for help from knowledgeable people here.
And most importantly, what to flash and how?

did not help(
What? So no one will help ???
Return the phone or wait until the methods exist.
Those are the only quick answers left.

It was opened. This is not an option either
If you purchased it used and the seller refused a return, it sounds like they were trying to recover what they could by selling their problem to someone else. It's likely they knew there wasn't a self-service fix right now.
Just to be clear, what you need is a low-level EDL restore. As it stands, one of the files required is not available to the public. If you have a local repair shop, they may be able to do it (and will likely charge a fee).
Do NOT pay someone over the internet. It CANNOT be done remotely.
