Need to be pointed in the right direction! Unlocked M8 - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Hi! so I bought an Factory unlocked M8 from amazon to upgrade my M7, I check for updates and none, go to HTC see there is marshmallow for factory unlocked phones. I made a post on android forums and a guy helped me with info on my phone apparently it was an LRA phone a variant of verizon, I have T-Mobile as my carrier and the phone works on the network. I have loaded custom recovery, changed the CID, have SU and S-OFF. I read that I can turn this into a Dev edition and get marshmallow, and I couldn't get the firmware to flash (Thank god because I might have bricked my phone) If anyone can help me with the correct firmware or point me to a guide to do what I need to do it would be greatly appreciated. I can also provide any information you need.
Thanks in advance!

ok since no one has responded, here is another question, do I need to flash firmware on this phone to use a rom?

You can't flash dev edition firmware on Verizon variant device.
You can flash Verizon latest firmware. I'd link you to it but I'm on my phone. It's easily found however.
Edit: here ya go
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...zw-m8-master-ruu-firmware-collection-t2946473
As for using T-Mobile - no idea so can't help in that area. Idk if u flash T-Mobile ROM or verixoy and edit APNs.
But I do know u want to flash Verizon firmware I linked above.

Awesome, just wanted to make sure I wouldn't damage my phone, otherwise i would have to go back to using my m7. Thanks for the link much appreciated!

one last question, if I flash t-mobile radios would it interfere with anything since I use their network? or just keep the APN settings.

No idea about using T-Mobile on Verizon. I'd stick to the firmware meant for the device.
Others may be able to chime in.

were you able to find firmware for your device?
I also have LRA__001, I had flashed the wrong one and i have no signals now, using it as a TAB

[Q] Looking for Virgin Mobile RUU

Hi guys!
So I had a fun adventure unlocking, and installing a custom ROM on my HTC One S, however, looking back I miss the stock phone features, and sense UI (don't hate me). Looking through these forums I've found a few tutorials on flashing a stock RUU, however, I can't seem to find a proper RUU for my phone and carrier would love if someone knew where to get one?
Here are some deets
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 2.15.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.11.50.05.28

Any help would be amazing. I know that Virgin Mobile is basically Bell Mobility here in Canada. But I'm having trouble matching up the right baseband, radio thingy
Thanks

Woah! Fellow carrier user.
There is no Jellybean RUU for BM.
Download this OTA.zip and flash using the method given in my signature to get stock.

OMG Thank you so much I have been looking for this forever. I actually ended up flashing to TrickDroid 10.3.2 and it's amazing! But at least now I have a OTA to go back to if something goes funky
Thanks again!

Hi. Thanks for visiting XDA Assist.
Which variant of the M8 do you have? There are a number of unrooting and "return to stock" guides on the M8 subforum located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=m8+restore+to+stock&sa=Search&cx=partner-pub-2900107662879704%3A4763122713&ie=ISO-8859-1
For example, to unroot the European version of the M8, follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735235.
Similarly, there are individual guides for different variants on the first link I've provided above.
Best of luck!

Usually, it is not possible to run OTA on rooted phones.
For further details and discussion, head on to the links I have posted in my previous post and ask the M8 community for advice. I'm sure you'll find your answer. I can only point you in the right direction. Hope you solve your issue soon.

[Completed] One M8 won't OTA update on stock

I returned my M8 International Unlocked Dual SIM Version through a nandroid backup and then flashed one of the recoveries I found online but my phone won't update through OTA. I then tried restoring different backups. Some of which worked and some didn't even boot.
I finally came to the conclusion that it was because of the HBOOT version and maybe the version-main.
I want to know:
1- Understand version-main.
2- How can I know which nandroid backup is right for me. (and if possible point me to the right ones for me).
I searched quite some time but couldn't turn up with a complete answer. Forgive me if I missed something.

Looking for correct RUU for vodafone

I inadvertently posted this on the wrong forum. Just re-posting this in the correct location and adding some notes.
Hi all,
I started down a slippery slope which was what I hoped was an easy task of upgrading a relative's android phone to a later version into a several day ordeal with a broken phone.
I have a Vodafone from germany HTC One S. I wanted to upgrade to android 4.3 which seems to require a firmware update, but I'm having a very hard time finding the correct version of the RUL to apply.
Can someone help me if you happen to have that wonderful file laying around.
Here's my device's: fastboot getvar all
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 2.15.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.15.50.05.29

(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: dirty-64bedd38

(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0
I'm currently running:
Android 4.1.1
Software Number: 1.14.709.16
Kernel: 3.4.10-gf987dcd
I would really really appreciate it if anyone had the correct RUU or could point me in the right direction.
Thanks so much.
The reason my bootloader is locked is because from what I read it needed to be locked in order to perform a firmware update. If that's not the case I can easily unlock it again.
Older thread for reference: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/help/looking-correct-ruu-vodafone-t3440997
Did the RUU u got from "alray" work? (cant post the androidfilehost link, but the file name is PJ40IMG_Ville_U_JB_45_S_Vodafone_UK_3.16.161.10_Radio_1.15.50.05.29_10.30.50.08L_release_314501_signed.zip)
Edit:
OH MY GOD... it works, after 20 hours of serching in this Forum i found you and your Link. Now i have a working OS for the first time. I got this Phone without OS,S-on and twrp was not working properly (unable to mount SD-card) Now I have a Base and I can proceed my Plans, unlock bootloader again, get SuperCID, S-off, a recovery and a custom ROM with root. Thank you so much!!

Could you please guide HTC one m7 sprint

First I bought a rooted HTC m7 and i managed to delete it "unroot it".
1- the first problem is the 3g connection it comes up for about 10 seconds and then it disappears for about 4 second and it comes back again.
2- the Second problem is some time when I try to make a call I can't hear the other phones ringing and the other person can't hear me and this happens some time and to fix this I need to reboot the phone.
3- And the WiFi speed seems to be slower than the connection and when I asked a repair man he told me that it might be the prerooted system could be the cause of these problems.
4- And I noticed that I don't have the system update option.
All I am asking is how to make it to stock rom with OTA "over the air updates".
Because I have been looking for a solution and all of the suggestions and tutorials got me confused.
And you should also know that the phone is sprint i knew it because of the reference in the back of it "pn0720000" and I live in Algeria

You can flash the stock firmware to restore it to full unmodified stock. To find out how, do a Google search for:
"Return to stock HTC One M7 Sprint"
That should find your firmware, the tools needed and instructions.
