Battery issue after battery replacement - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
Ive changed the battery in phones labratory.
The new battery is original lg oem anf seemed
Perfectly fine.
Since I changed it,
The battery precentage is stuck on 17â„…
I see the lighning bolt as if though its charging
But the battery precentage doesent change.
When I enter the battery it says not charging.
Do I need to calibrate or the battery is bad?
Please advise.
Thanks

Does the same thing happen when you put back your old battery? If it does, it could be a motherboard connection problem.
I've changed the battery in a few Nexus 5 phones using 3rd party batteries from Aliexpress and I never experienced a situation similar to yours. When I replaced the battery, I put the phone on a wired charger while powered off. I waited until the battery was fully charged booted the phone, and everything seemed fine. It's better months since I changed these batteries and they all seem to be working with a wired and wireless charger.

(HELP) Phone consumes more battery than charge?

I have a HTC Sensation rooted and running on the VIPER rom 1.0.1 i've had that ROM for a month without any problems until this week I charge my phone using the charger i got with the phone and it take a very long time for the battery charge. i can leave the phone in the charger overnight but it would not get fully charged. On some occasions even with the phone charging the battery level falls.
I was like totally lost. I had that charger for almost half a year and it worked perfectly on my device without any problems.
ive bought a new battery off ebay and the problem still persists
ive also tried charging with my usb port on my pc and nothing has changed.
Now the problem that I'm experiencing is that my phone discharges faster than it charges. and that totally sucks. I need some advice,

Phone thinks no battery are charged

Hey everyone, On my rogers optimus 3d I've installed a couple of weeks ago korean ICS to my phone with TWRP no problem except some stability and things like this.
I then recently received 2 backup batteries to get the phone past a day without charging it and everything is working fine.
My problem is that now the phone seems to think every of my 3 batteries (even the original one) can't get past 1% of charge even after a full night of charge.
I've tried also on my external charger that came with the batteries, they get a red light saying it's charging for about a couple of minutes then turns blue to say it's fully charged (a perfectly normal behaviour for these charger on a healty battery that's almost fully charged). Even after the external charger saying the battery is full, phone keeps recognising it as a 1% battery.
I've tried the app called Battery Calibration Free and it did pretty much nothing to help.
Also tought about wiping battery stats, but this option seems to be absent from TWRP.
I also did my homeworks and found this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511039&page=4 with ppl getting almost the same problem as I did but on gingerbread
Anyone any idea because i'm starting to get mad because the phone can't even handle 10minutes with it's 3 batteries...

[Q] Battery Problems, Batteries other than the original won't charge

I am having trouble with my galaxy s 4g. Recently my battery started acting up ( randomly restarting, not holding charge, etc) and I noticed a bump on the battery so I decided to purchase a new one. I did that, and made sure it was the same type of battery yet it will not work. The original charge it came with worked on my phone, but the problem came when I had to charge it. The new battery wont charge and the phone keeps restarting, or just stays off. I was using a custom rom and kernel, so I reverted back to stock and it still will not charge.
tldr Got a new battery, it won't charge the phone keeps restarting, or will stay off. I have reverted back to stock with no luck.
I just bought an 1800 mah battery and it died within a week. Although not charging could be due to a bad USB connector
If your original battery will still charge correctly (even though it's old, just try to charge it) then I'd say it's a battery issue. Getting batteries from third parties is always iffy.

[Q] Moto G battery life question...

Hi,
So I recently bought the Moto G, so far I am liking... Just a question about battery life. I'm wondering if I am getting normal battery life, or is my phone defective.
I got over 5h of on screen time and over 7h of battery life from a full charge. Also the screen seems to be eating up most of the battery even though I have it on auto brightness and most of the time it is very low brightness.
Maybe this is normal, but i have heard people getting over 2 days of battery life out of this thing!
Thanks..
One more thing, when I first got the phone I began charging it with this random charger I bought, and when I plugged the phone in it immediately shut down, but it was still charging, however I didnt let it charge and got a different charger because I was scared to damage the phone. The charger I was using had 5.2V on it but the charger I'm using now has 5V on it and it is charging fine without apparent hiccups.
(I did not try out the battery performance on jellybean as I updated to KitKat as soon as I bought the phone)

Phone showing 0% battery and 0mv

My Nexus 5 is showing 0% battery life and 0mv.
I have charged the phone over night to make sure it was fully charged, but even though it shows 0 percentage. Also does it not turn after XX hours.
Further have i tried deleting the batterystats.bin and did a full factory reset.
Is it possible that someone could help me on this issue?
Kind regards,
C4D3R
How old is the battery? When did this happen? Was the phone dropped?
Hi, thank you for your reply
The phone was not dropped, and it was just replaced
not charging
Having the same problem. OEM charger not charging the battery currently (just red light of death), swapped cables etc.
Nothing have worked for me so far, i've left it once for a few days to charge it charged up to 30% but started discharging after that
I'm wondering should i send the phone to LG to let them exchange the battery or its the charger, my lumia 720 charges in like 30mins-1h under all chargers 1.0-1.4A from Nokia, OEM Nexus 5 one and even Huawei but the nexus doesnt care about that
Any help would be appreciated
Are the batteries oem or third party? If third party, that could be the problem.
I have used cheap third party batteries from aliexpress and never experience this problem on the nexus 4 or nexus 5.
I am using a genuine OEM battery, Replaced by the repair center. I have also unscrewed it myself to verify this.
The phone is charging and turning on, however the percentage weirdly doesnt update like its not showing data from the battery (0%, 0mv or unknown in battery testing apps)
I just got my new OEM battery, first up it booted up and it showed 60% then suddenly turned off so i went to the recovery and it said 9%, now its under a charger but i don't think it will help it. Something is really strange with my Phone and im wondering if its the radio/any other software issue or its pure hardware if yes i just wasted even more money on trying to save my Nexus 5..
edit:
after 5 minutes under charger TWRP says its 15%+ wtf is going on?
edit2:
now the red light of death dissapears after few blinks and the phone acts *ded*, it "charges" the old battery but takes a lot of time but changing chargers/cables didnt make a difference
Is it possible that solders on my USB connection are just broken or something? it reads fine as usb but when it comes to charging with AC it takes forever/discharges under a charger :/
I just flashed an android 7 rom on to it, but now it stayed at 100% and keeps saying charged (even though it wasnt charging)
So i flashed the original android 6 from the nexus pages again and still have the same issue (0%, 0mv)
Really hoping to fix this
