I'm having the same problem with CM13, but not only with wifi.

Do you have any ad blocking apps active?

managed to fix it after reading through plenty of forumposts, youtube videos etc
Went into settings for the wifi and changed the frequency band to 2.4 and this did the trick

No longer able to connect to wifi hotspot!

Hello guys and gals! I seem to have run into a problem.
I recently have been playing my Xbox at work, using my phones internet connection. It worked fine at first, but then it began to lose h+ and switch to h, so I ran a terminal command to ping Google every five seconds. This fixed that. The Xbox isn't showing up in my hotspot connected devices at all, and now it can't connect. I messed with apns for a while, but ended up resetting them.
Any ideas?
I'm running 4.4.4 pacrom 1-26-2015

If your phone is on Lollipop, i read that OSP works witht he Dalvick Runtime and as such, was removed cos of incompatibility with the new ART Runtime. I was bewildered also after my Lollipop update that i lost that feature. If u are on KitKat, make sure OSP is ticked and i advice u troubleshoot with a cable connection initially then subsequently move to Wi-Fi.

[Q] Phone connect automatically to old/forget wifi network

Hi all!
Here's the problem:
Phone is always trying to connect to and old wifi network I have created with my router (TP-Link Archer C7). This network is cancelled but my nexus 5 will try to connect with an exclamation mark. I have to manualy click in the setting to connect to the newer Wifi.
I have done a factory reset. No luck. I also switch to Rastapop, CM, Catalysm, no luck too. The old network is like saved in the google account but I can't remove it...
Have you experience this too?
Thx for your help.

[Q] Wifi slows astronomically when my S6 connects to it

I have DSL 6mbps connected to a Linksys E2500 router, very good connectivity, and my PC is hardwired to it. I can play 720p videos on 3-4 devices with no buffering. I just got a brand new S6, set it up, synced, and once I connect it to wifi, it slows down astronomically. I can barely load one 144p video, the phone itself can barely load anything. I turned off auto backup, smart switch wifi, and nothing helps. I can't find anyone with this problem.
I turned off everything except my PC and the S6, load a game, get 60ms ping, turn on wifi on the phone, and I get over 999ms of ping. What is the problem? I have tried restarting router, phone, resetting network configs on phone, etc. Nothing helps.
Any ideas?
Try a router firmware upgrade.

Why would I need to upgrade a brand new router with updated drivers that works flawlessly with every other device except this one? It is updated.

You should always run the latest firmware on your router, it usually fixes security and compatibility issues - it might not fix your problem but it's a good place to start.
P.S. You don't need to post the same question twice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s6/help/wifi-slows-to-crawl-s6-connects-t3121991

[Q] Wifi Issues

Hello everyone. I have been having a wifi issue lately and I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I can connect to my home wifi and surf the internet, use Facebook and watch Youtube and use some other apps. Lately however, I am not able to use apps like Pandora, Slacker, 93.9 The Beat, POF, OkCupid and MeetMe. I'm sure there are others as well that I haven't tried yet since this issue has started. I can also connect to xfinity wifi (I'm not sure who's that is) and all of the apps work fine. I am on the stock ROM, S-Off and unlocked running Android 5.0.1 If any one could help, it would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Do you use a proxy at home? I know some apps don't work well with proxys...
Change anything recently on your home router?
Did you say everything works FINE on xfiniti wifi?
Xfiniti Wifi is a major cable operators wifi. You'd need to have access to their services to use their wifi.

Hello bigblueshock. I have not made any changes to my phone/router/modem. I have shut them all completely down and restarted them and that did not help. And all of the devices are up to date. Yes everything works fine when I connect to Xfinity wifi. I have ComCast/Xfinity cable and internet. I'm not sure if it's my Xfinity wifi I'm connecting to though. I have signed in on a prior occasion and I was connected, so maybe. But when I try to connect to my wifi (the one that I know is mine) that is when I have my issues. It was working fine up until recently. I am not using any proxy.

If you're connecting to a different WiFi (such as XFINITI) with no problem. I'd say there's a high chance somethings going on your end... whether it be router/modem related.
One way to test is to connect another android device to YOUR network, and see what happens... Possibly even an Apple device. Any friends or family have android devices?
If the router is one comcast provided.. maybe they pushed an update to it which messed up something.

I have an old Samsung Omnia II that is running on Windows 6.5. When I connect to my home wifi, Slacker Radio works fine and so does everything else on the phone. It connects directly to my Netgear wifi it does also show xfinity wifi as available as well. But it doesn't have the app like my much newer HTC One M8 has. My M8 does show my Netgear home wifi and that is the one I'm having issues with. It seems like it's my M8 that is having the troubles.

If you are at your own home you shouldn't be on the xfinity Wi-Fi side. You should be on your private network.
