Need advice - can't boot into recovery. - Shield Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried to flash marshmallow update on my OG Shield tablet, don't know where everything went sideways, but, now I can't boot to recovery, or boot up. I can get into the bootloader but when I boot normal it just shows the nvidia screen. When I try to boot into recovery my PC shows APX mode. I've tried to flash several recoveries, they all seem to go thru with fastboot on the PC. but nothing changes on the tablet. Is it bricked?

When you see the nvidia screen after flash you 've to wait a very long time before the tablet is usable.
In my case it tooks about 5 minutes before I got the prompt "country" and be able to set everything.

Anyone has an Idea? Or is it really bricked?
Can you still see the device listed using fast boot?
No, because I can't enter the bootloader or the recovery. But it boots again

The same thing just happened to me. Unfortunately, I am still trying to figure it out. I flashed a "stock" recovery that I had found in order to be able to take the OTAs. Now when I boot, I just stay stuck on the NVIDIA splash screen.....been there for hours.

Click to collapse
Same here.....
Mine is working again. Booting in the bootloader is a little bit tricky.
Have you tried to flash all? Boot.img, recovery.img and system.img?
...
I had the same issue. But after trying to get into the bootloader using POWER + VOLUME DOWN for about 15 minutes it finally went to the bootloader and I was able to re-flash it. I have a feeling it's the cludgy power button.
You do not need to flash the stock recovery to take the ota. I have taken 2 otas now on custom recovery without any issue and without loosing root. Just an FYI.
Sent from my SHIELD Tablet using XDA Free mobile app
I just did a factory reset under lollipop, locked boot-loader rooted and it rebooted to the green android screen then dropped into CWM and asked to fix root. I said no, then it went to the nvidia boot logo and it is stuck. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Edit: nevermind, I just powered it off after about 20 minuets and it hung again. When I plugged it into my pc, it finally poped into the setup/welcome screen. Pretty weird. Heart attack averted

Nvidia Shield Tablet Stuck in a Boot Loop

So I started off by doing a factory reset on the tablet. When it rebooted, it got stuck on a black screen just after the Nvidia Logo. Resetting it had done nothing. I was able to get into fastboot mode where I then tryed booting to recovery mode. Nothing Happened. From here I thought the only way to fix this would be to reinstall the ROM. I managed to install TWRP Recovery 2.8.7.0, but when It booted into recovery, it gave a bunch of errors that It couldn't mount a series of volumes(?) or whatever. It started formatting data and rebooted a few times. I let it do its thing. Now If I try to turn the tablet on it sits at the Nvidia Logo and if I go into fastboot and try to boot recovery I get the Android Bot with a Red Triangle and an exclamation mark in it.
What Should I do and where do I start?
Thanks Guys!

Stuck in Fastboot

Some infos.
One Plus 6
Unlocked bootloader
Rooted
Yesterday my Phone got stuck in boot animation, so i started the recovery mode and reseted my phone (with system) bcuz i wanted to do it anyways.
Later i tryed to boot to twrp to install a new system, but there was an issue something like there is no recovery disk.
now i stuck in fastboot, cant even turn it off. Every option just brings me into the boot loader pleaase help me
Thanks
Power off phone. while holding the volume down button plug the usb cord into a computer. Download the tool here and follow the instructions to get the drivers installed and the tool working. The phone will seem like it's off but it is actually on. Run the tool and your phone will be as good as new with locked boot loader and all.

Need help flashing Katkiss 6.0.1 , Recovery Partition Not Found / Nothings Working

So, I just decided to try and Flash the old TF101 with Katkiss 6.0.1 and Gapps, but I always get stuck on the same problem.
My TF101 is running Android 4.0.3 ICS and USB Debugging is on
I downloaded TWRP app on the transformer, as well as the latest .blob flash file through the app.
Before this, I rooted the tablet using Kingroot.apk, which worked. When I went to flash the tablet with the recovery, the app noted "Recovery Partition not found".
I tried to boot into recovery mode on my own, (Pressing Pwr + Volume down , Then hitting Volume Up), The android screen popped, up and then flashed to a fallen android with a red triangle.... The screen stays on this for a minute and then boots into the normal system. I can't even boot into recovery through ADB, using the
Code:
adb reboot recovery
, The tablet will just reboot normally, not into recovery mode.
The Device does recognize through ADB....
Is my recovery partition just non existent? Even when I just let the system though without pressing volume up, it only gives me the option of (Android) or (Erase Data). when I click erase data, ill stay on the asus loading screen indefinitely and nothing will happen until i turn it off and on.
I just cant seem to boot into TWRP for some reason, and that means I just cant install the downloaded custom ROM.
How Can I fix this and boot into TWRP? I've tried for hours and have been hung up due to the same problem each time, even after rooting.
Did you already solve that problem? I also need a solution. Thanks

Device stuck in boot loop with no access to twrp or usb debugging

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone might be able to provide some assistance to help me solve my problem here. Basically I was attempting to flash havoc os to my oneplus 7 pro and I think I wiped both the a/b partitions by accident as now it’s stuck in boot loop.
basically it will constantly boot loop where it goes to the unlocked boot loader warning and then reboots. If I attempt to boot to recovery, it will flash with the twrp screen for 1-2 seconds and then reboot. Will boot to fast boot mode but cannot enable usb debugging.. any help would be greatly appreciated, and If anyone needs me to clarify anything I will do my best but its been a week or two since it happened and I can’t seem to find a working solution anywhere. Thank you.
I know this is an older post, but as a thought, when you go to the fastboot menu, if you wait, does it reboot there too?
If so, I think this may be your power button acting up. I had that problem with my phone. I could boot to fastboot or recovery, but couldn't stay in them long enough to do anything. First time it happened, I took the phone apart and disconnected the power button and I was able to get it to boot up successfully. Next time it happened, I just hit the power button multiple times until it started booting up properly.
If this is not the case for you, I would try to fastboot boot the latest version of TWRP rather than from the recovery process (holding down buttons and hoping it boots). I've read that on some devices (with older versions of TWRP), it was recommended to fastboot TWRP rather than flash for better compatibility.
