Ive already re-installed it or flashed it whatever u call it.. but the problem is still there the above paragraph.
please help me guys!
1- read rules of the forum (your posting in the wrong place)
2- there is several things you could do:
- re-do the operation to reinstall a clean rom
OR do a full wipe on your phone : turn off the phone, press power + volume down buttons and when the logo appear press volume up + volume down buttons and select wipe data/cache !
Sounds like u deleted the only launcher u had on your phone... Hence the black screen and no key actions. The search button however should still bring up the search screen. Search for market and reinstall launcher pro or zeam etc...
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
if u dont care for that data on your phone just reflash it using rsd light
hold volume+ and power and get in the bootloader then flash any official rom from here

[Q] No shutdown menu after 2.3.5 update

Hey,
I just got the Android 2.3.5 update and now all of a sudden I can't turn off/restart the phone. The shutdown menu doesn't appear at all when long-pressing the power button, it just shuts off the screen when releasing it.
Anyone else had this problem? Solutions?
(The phone is pretty new and has the stock rom without root or any other changes).
I'm having the same problem, but running a rooted desire (not s) with gingercakes 0.8f kernel and Cool3D AceS v2a!

I had the same problem. Don't worry, do a Factory Restore to solve the problem.

Well, I also did a Factory Restore, which indeed solved the problem, but after installing all my apps the menu is gone again. Im trying to find out which app is making the problem.

Maybe Tasker?
It's HTC bug. Wait for fix.
~Swaypovano sa Desire S BRE!~
I hope they'll fix it.
Today I wrote an email to polish technical support and they just told me to send the phone to repair.

Yep, you're right, it did solve the problem. Slightly annoying solution though
take screenshot feature
I don't know if this is connected to the bug or not, but I think HTC increased the time we have to keep the POWER button pressed for the menu to show up just to "make some room" for the new screenshot feature:
In any menu/application try to keep the POWER button down and quickly press the HOME button (left-bottom most button, below the screen) - a screenshot of what you have on the screen is saved on /sdcard/DCIM.

Radu
no need for factory restore:
Setting -> Security -> Use secure credentials.
Tick the box, long press the power button then go back and untick the secure credentials tickbox again and all works as it should
My God, it works, but how come ?

Soft home key problem with Hydro on TF300

Hey, just installed Hydro for the first time on my Transformer TF300 and overall really like it. Everything appears to be functioning normally except for the soft home key. When I press that nothing happens. I followed the instructions for installing the rom exactly (Had CWM + stock unlocked before flashing) and also wiped dalvik cache. All other keys function normally. What am I missing here? Any idea why the home key would be disabled?

Similar problem here. TWRP with Stock-Rom, Hydro-JB-ROM and update to 4.1.
Deleted the system and re-installed everything. Same problems:
- Home-Button without function (Soft-key and keyboard)
- Play-Button without function
- pop-up settings (above the clock) without notifications (on press they appear and disappear immediately)
Can anyone help?

[Q] Did I brick my phone?

Hi guys,
I was deactivating apps on my Xperia L (C2105) with Titanium Backup and I think I bricked my phone.
I was deactivating all those apps starting with Xperia and having something to do with that social media bull**** I don't use anyway. So I decided to deactivate them. I might have deactivated Xperia Home accidentally too. After I closed Titanium Backup the screen went dark, only the upper "taskbar" showed up and the Walkman app was running. I shut my phone down and tried to turn it on again. But that's where it gets stuck. I see the Sony logo, then Xperia logo and then that coloured animation and that's it. It gets stuck from this point on.
I tried all button combinations like Volume + and Power or Volume - and Power but it didn't work. When I press Volume + AND - and Power nothing happens. But after this even just pressing the Power button won't work. I have to take out the battery and then Power button works again.
Is there any way I can recover my phone without flashing it?
If not, can you suggest a good step by step tutorial on how to unbrick my phone?

Damn it. That's what I feared. Thanks for your quick reply.
Or you may push a launcher to your /system/app through adb...
This happened to me many times...

Thanks for the tip but I've already flashed my phone with fw version .26. Now it runs like it used to. Battery life is great, I can go 3 days without recharging. And it runs way more smoothly and without bugs. I don't know what Sony changed in .14 and .17 but it's gotten way worse.

Lenovo A916 Boot Loop

Hey there,
I have a Lenovo A916 which was pretty reliable. However, it is currently stuck in a boot loop. It wasn't the average type of bricking where one was trying to flash a new rom or where one was trying to root the phone. It was one where a vital app was deleted (I believe the OS UI, I may be wrong) and thus it won't restart properly. I have searched several forums and researched several processes but I wanted more advice before I tried to unbrick the phone myself.
Unfortunately, the drawbacks are that there isn't much information out there about the particular type of phone, and it makes it hard to apply methods that are made for more popular models.
The phone is rooted but the boot loader is locked. Obviously I cannot go into USB debugging mode but the phone does have a memory card slot. I have both the original and a custom rom downloaded and the relevant drivers. I even have Lenovo's LeTools.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Have you tried factory reset? I have the same phone.
Turn it off, then hold the middle of the volume rocker firmly and keep holding it while you turn on the phone - you will see a green tilted android.
Press on/off button 1 time
use the volume rocker to move down to wipe data/factory reset and press the in the middle of the volume rocker. Then on the next screen move down to Yes and press the middle of the volume rocker.
Your phone will now factory reset - wait until its done.
it will restart by itself - if not, then move to reboot now and press the middle of the volume rocker.
Hopefully this will fix your issue - though now your facing another one - there might be spyware on your phone and you have to re-root it and depending on the method install either superuser or supersu(best), then remove the spyware with malwarebytes, avast, 360 security. Make a list of those that can't be cleaned.
Then disable the offending apps.
BE CAREFUL! I'm not responsible for what you do!
If you by accident choose the wrong thing, then hold the power button for 30 seconds and your phone will restart. Turn if off and try again.
Be advised that you will loose all your apps and files, you should remove your MicroSD card first.
Good luck
Factory reset won't work.
You said you just flashed a new rom right?
If you done factory reset, it wouldn't reset your phone COMPLETELY. It will just reset the settings and the data.
What you need to do is you need to find the stock rom of your device. Then reflash it into your device.

No, I didn't flash a new ROM. Actually, I was using the stock ROM when the UI got deleted. I do have the stock ROM however. What is the best way to flash the ROM to my device?
