hi guys! i need your help. i am an android newbie here, my device is HTC desire C. i have this phone now for 4 months. 2 months ago, i recieved a FOTA update to ICS 4.0.3. being a newbie, and at that time, not so knowledgeable yet, i was excited, thinking it would make my phone better. now, 2 months after the update, i was really puzzled why my battery drains faster than before that update, even with juice defender. and as i researched about ICS 4.0.3, i found that this version demands heavy CPU usage, and yes, drains battery faster than the stock ICS. a remedy for this, as i researched on the different ICS versions, 4.0.4 would, as it was said, solve the issues on 4.0.3. but i don't know if HTC's gonna launch forta for 4.0.4 for this device. so i'm planning to use the HTC desire C slimsense ICS 4.0.4 custom rom, but i'm nervous to root. hehe..now, i just want to know if any HTC desire C user here like me has ever tried using sutom roms on their devices, and if anyone has used the custom rom i mentioned? please..really need help. replies will be appreciated.

Hi
My daughter has a 1st gen Moto G [XT1032] which is about 5 months old.
About a month ago the stock rom (Tesco uk) wouldn't boot and has she had cracked the screen it wasn't covered under the warranty.
So I rooted it and put on a stock Eu rom 4.4.4 and that seemed ok for about 2 weeks and then similar issues with booting.
So then I wiped everything and put on Cyanogenmod on 5.1.1 I think it was but that only lasted about 3 days before not booting,
I then tried a fresh copy of that again but last night she came to me with it and it was so buggy and jumpy and the home screen wouldn't load and it was massively overheating.
So I searched again for another stock rom of 4.4.4 and I put that on last night.
Do you think it could be a hardware problem that's causing it or am I just choosing unstable roms?
If so can anyone recommend a stable rom as there are so many to choose from.
Thanks for any advise
Sounds like hardware.
Mine was a Tesco phone on 4.4.4 now running optimized stock .br 5.0.2 from the development section and it's never ran better!

Click to collapse
Thanks I was thinking that because she dropped it and cracked the screen it's had a knock on effect... Not sure what hardware fault could cause it though
Dear All,
I have flashed NX experience rom on my XT1033.
It went smooth for couple of days, but now phone reboots itself 3-4 times in a day.
Any Idea what could be the reason.
Shall I go back to stock?
Regards
I've had my HTC 11 unlocked phone since it came out. Played with root and installed custom roms then about a year ago put it back to the stock rom. Battery life is much better than when I was running root and custom roms. But HTC is not coming up with updates any more and I'm concerned about the security of the phone. Should I just move on to a phone that has the latest android version and of course the latest features or will the HTC 11 all right if I just have a good antivirus app and VPN software for security?
