Hi, I have HTC one E8 bought in Delhi[India]. Few months back 4g was releases so now i wanted to use 4g on my mobile,for this I also bogut airtel 4g smart SIM andi recahrged with 4g pack but still it didn't show 4g signal in 1st slort. Then i resaerched a bit on net then i found it doesn't support 4g in this phone atleaset the band it has[somewhere I read it has band 40]. So now i want to know is there any way I can use 4g like by any hack/trick or even installing specific custome rom[in custom rom case also let me know will i still be able to use dot veiw feature which is very cool ].

I sent Inspire 4g Unlock from USA to India. My relative in India use it with tata docomo. I reportedly saying he is loosing connection. same SIM card works fine in HTC HD2 running android 2.3.7 from sdcard with continuous connection. I have try little bit of trail and error here and there read lots of forum. But i think issue is with Inspire being 4g and radio is usa, radio 12.56.60.25U_26.10.04.03_M.
Phone currently running Custom Sense ROM.
Any one out here using same combination and did not above face issue?
Any suggestion which is proper(good) radio that i can try for India?
ANy one with upto date APN setting for TATA Docomo ( I tried many like TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET and use rest default)?
Same issue reported with Airtel as well not staying connected constantly. so above questions applies for Airtel setting as well.

I guess HD DESIRE HD listens to 2100 band FOR 3G
while HTC INSPIRE 1900 BAND FOR 3G
AND 3G IN INDIA HAS 2100 BAND
So i guess it should make things work

My Cousin sent me a HTC Inspire 4G in india.
- I have not rooted it yet but would be doing ti today.
- I was just looking about the Reviews for this phone and found something i was confused about
- I found that Inspire 4G's 3g does not work in india because of the difference in frequencies for india and US
- So Basically i wanted to know is there any custom ROM or Radio version that would make it work.
- Any other Fix or technique to make it work.
No you can't change the hardware in the phone so you can't change the frequencies it supports, please search first there are sooooo many threads on this

Hi My HTC Sensation stays on edge even though I have had 4g here for the last year. After flashing the appropriate ICS firmware this is a constant issue. Can someone please help.
which fw version did you flash, and did the screen show the radio update was successful?

I do not have ICS yet, but....
Check your settings.
Settings->wireless&networks->mobile networks->Network mode: select GSM/WCDMA auto.
Hope it solves your problem.

the icons are kind of irrelevant since he said it's on EDGE.
Icons wise:
H -> 4G not E -> 4G
Edge problem.
Alright here's what happened. I had the HTC amaze and I traded it for this phone because the development page for that phone sucked. I got this phone and put my sim card in it and it was on edge. I thought because T-Mobile thought I was using the HTC Amaze it was sending out a different reception type. They changed it to the Sensation and still no 4G. I have switched my number to 3 different SIM cards and still no 4G. I reverted back to stock and S-On to see if the problem would be fixed but it wasn't. I am in a 4G covered area and I am getting edge why is this? I have had 4G on the Amaze for months and I had the sensation before the Amaze. both had 4G where I am. I don't know what to do.
Well as far as I've read, HSPA+ (branded as 4G by T-MoUS) runs on 1700MHz (AWS). If you got your device through T-Mo you would get the one branded as Sensation 4G and HSPA+ would work out of the box.
Also, if you got the non-T-MoUS version (Unbranded), z710e (Orig Sensation) and z715e (XE version) should theoretically still receive "4G" because AWS is supported by these models.
I know this is a repost, but can someone direct me to the thread on how to fix this?

That's a known issue with sense 4.1 Roms. I'm.using viper one s 1.1.1 and it has a g icon for 4g.

I have the HTC one s 4g running the newest viperone Rom and I don't see it having 4g.
I looked up the specs for the phone and it says it doesn't support 4g on tmobile but I keep seeing forums with people saying they have 4g.
What do I have to do to have 4g? I have a new micro sim that should support it.

the rom is not the one that controls the data speeds or 3g or 4g, the radio is, our phone is quad-band and suport T mobile and att networks.
lte is not suported, beside thath all the other networks like. 4g,3g,2g,edge,g, are supoerted.
what the rom does not suport is the data icons, since the venom 2.0.0 base is not from T Mobile Us and is from some kind of rare network in Europe,, 4g icon is not suported, phone will be most of the time in 3g and h icon.
but your data speeds will be the same as 4g, since only the icon is not present in the rom.
I bought HTC Dhd from eBay and when I search on imei checking websites they tell me imei belongs to HTC inspire 4g.There is no at&t logo at the back, but changing the outer cover is no big deal.Before blaming the seller, I just wanted to get confirmed.I currently live in India and 3g works on 2100mhz here, inspire 4g doesn't support 2100mhz but HTC desire HD does.I am NOT getting any signal when I switch to 3g mode.What do you think.Any other way to get confirmed?Thanks for your time..
