Hi everybody,
I'm using a Iocean X7 Plus; every ROM I tried the GPS didn't work anyway; I followed all the usually guides found in the web, referring mostly about the AGPS+EPO download procedure, without success; the first difficulty is my phone has a -almost - unique behaviour : my GPS works, finding satellites, and fixing them in a reasonable time (a few minutes about) only in Engineering Mode; infact, after downloading the EPO file, satellites appear at once in the 'View' window, coloured red, and a few minutes later 5~9 of thewm become green; in hte 'Map' window I can see the correct position, and in the 'GPS' window I can see the coordinates being updated quickly; after exiting Engineering Mode, nothing happen; all apps using GPS always wait for satellites' signals, I tried waiting a lot of time, outdoor, clean sky, without result; GPS status2 tell me about the same satellites' number as I could see in Eng mode, but no satellite appear in the app;
I repeat, as I see, regarding my experience, there is no hardware problem, and my knownledge it's not enough to resolve this problem ; I'm a Linux user, I have experience in terminal use, compiling source code, system administration adn so on, but I don't know Android.
I hope someone can help me to found a solution, I like this phone very much.
regards

Hi, it should not be the hardware problem. It's the GPS antenna issue. May I know which country you are from? If you search iocean X7 GPS at the forum, you may find another thread talking about GPS antenna. Link is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2177023&page=29.
We'll wait till 11/30 to send antennas out to some countries.
Hope this can help you.
Hi,
I have an XPERIA ACTIVE. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone and flashed cm 9.1 (satsuma).
It caused many problems, but all solved, except GPS AND BLUETOOTH, they don't work.
Bluetooth doesn't give signs of life! It doesn't find any device.
GPS: When i use Google Maps, it's constantly searching for the position that seems to locate but it turns on itself wildly as if it could not find the direction.
I used GPS STATUS to find satellites and it takes from 10 to 20 minutes to give the coordinates of the position, but the problem doesn't change.
I tried to modify gps.conf but I can't fix.
Anyone can help me?
Please.
I have standard uk sim free stock z3 compact. In the last few weeks I've noticed that my WiFi randomly turns off and I lose any setting for image enhancement, but not at the same time. Any ideas ?
Hi,
I have installed Pokemon Go 0.29.2 on my D2302 running Xperia Z5 S.T.Y.L.E. 4.6. I have got some problem, as the character is not moving as I walk or even change orientation. Sometime it randomly moves after I stopped walking.
Anyone else faced the same issue? Is it the problem of Game APP or some device sensors?
Thank in advance.
Device info:
D2302 (Xperia M2 Dual)
UBL + Rooted
Xperia Z5 S.T.Y.L.E. 4.6
firmware .182
It's funny. I started playing Pokémon Go yesterday in my Xperia M2 (with, you guessed it, Z5 STYLE), and yes, it's working incredibly fine. The problem you're experiencing's happening in maaaaany other phones around the globe, and it might be related with poor GPS coverage in your zone (stay away from buildings), or, you need new A-GPS config for quicker location. For that, you can try fix that with applications like AGPS Injector, or by changing your AGPS server to one of your country inside the GPS config (gps.conf) file at /system/etc, lines 20~27.
Good luck.
hi, I got a new xperia z3 with marshmellow and when I hit to call somebody the phone freezes like for 14-15 seconds and then the beeping begins. I had another phone z3 with kitkat and it called immediately.
I thought it was sim card fault, but when I put it in an iPhone - the calling was immediate so the problem is with xperia z3 phone.
but what can be wrong with it? it is really annoying to wait 15 seconds for the signal to be established.
