Device Storage vs. Internal Storage on CM 12.1 - Sony Xperia L

hey guys,
I'm on CM 12.1 (Stryflex v4) ROM on my Xperia L.
my free device storage is 0.96GB
my free internal storage is 4.01GB
I haven't insert a external SD Card.
When i'm installing a app from Google Play or from an external source, it is installing to my device storage. Because of that i can't install much apps on my phone. When the device memory is full i can't even update any of the installed app from Google Play or from an external source.
Is there any way that i can install the apps to my internal storage?
I didn't had this problem on Xperia L JB 4.2.2 stock rom.
I don't want to use APPS2SD apps/edit the partition tables on my device because they will mess my poor phone again. :silly:
Help in advance would be appreciated!

[Q] No space to install apps.

I have installed Cyanogenmod 7.2 to my Samsung Galaxy i5801 and it seems to be working OK, mostly. I am having to try to reinstall several of the apps I had previously but each time I try I get a message that there is insufficient space to install.
I have checked the reported space and it seems I have 0 internal storage and 14GB external storage. I have tried to change the storage location for downloaded apps to both internal and external with no difference.
Any suggestions for a solution? I have tried searching the forum and, although I see other posts asking similar questions there don't appear to be any answers.
Mike
You can try to reflash the rom or you can partition your SD card and use data2sd.
The problem with the install location is, that you need to have free space on the internal storage in advance.
The app is first downloaded into a container on the internal storage, and then installed (at least partly) to the internal storage. So you should have at least appSize * 2 of free space.
Another app you could try is Link2SD. It moves mostly everything of an app to the sd-card. But for that you need to partition your card. Just google for that app
TRIED Link2SD [ BUT NOT WORKING ]

If you are using Marcellusbe's build then Link2SD should work. Just ignore the error and reboot the phone.

I use marcellusbe's CM 10 only .....
I rebooted the phone ...
But it is not at all movig the apps to external SD
did you install the rom with odin? i had exactly the same problem, reinstalling the rom from clockwork mod recovery fixed it, or install the mtd version from recovery.

CM 12.1 Insufficient storage

Hi,
I am running cm12.1 latest release 2015-10-7 on AT&T HTC one x.
I am getting insufficient storage error when I try to install new apps from play store.
Internal storage is nearly full but external storage has much space.
Is there any fix for that?
Thanks.

Is there any way to move apps completely to external storage on Xperia L?

Hello again. As you all know,Xperia have this problem with insufficient storage and I was able to partially solve the problem with Link2SD app,but many apps still have their data (dex files for example) left on internal storage. Is there any way to completely move apps to external storage (not SD card) of Xperia and have that space for apps free? Thanks in advance. My Xperia is rooted, with OctaOS (MM) intalled.

Why All my donwloads and apks goin to internal memory ?

Hii..! im new here..! and sorry for my bad english ( I'm trying the best I can) it's a pleasure to be part of this community so go the problem, let me know because everything is going to release the internal memory of the phone and not the sd? only photos and videos taken with the g3 q motorcycle stored in the sd, is quite annoying because there is little internal memory .. put a sd not activate the function of internal memory make it because I read that gives problems ..
In android 4.4.4 and 5.1 could install apks in the sd or internal memory that allows the custom rooms in 6.0.1? because I have 6.0 official but because the warranty even I can not flash a custom rom other and do not know if that would be the main problem of this official rom ..
Without setting up the card as internal storage or using an app like Link2SD (root required) you cannot move apps to SD card in Marshmallow
