OPO's hardware buttons aren't working properly - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, Hope u doing' good guys
My home, back and menu buttons at the bottom of the screen nearly aren't responding at all. Everything else works fine and I'vr turned on the on-screen nav bar for now. Any thoughts of how to fix it ? It happened after I went from a CM13 (this) to Cyanogen OS, and I tried other ROMs but nothing changed.
My Regards

[Q] HELP! Capacitive side buttons stopped working!

Hey guys,
Oh i dunno whays happened. Everything worked fine yesterday then i went to sleep. Next day the side buttons stopped working. The touch screen still works but the side capacitive buttons stopped.
It doesnt even work when i boot into clockwork mod
I have so far tried:
Reboot did nothing
Put calibration.ini file in root directory
Put calibration.ini in sdcard2
Put calibration in sdcard root
Reboot
Didnt fix it.
I got it ebay as i live in australia so warranty may be difficult.
I am using button saviour to get by for now but until i can get the side buttons to work i can no longer navigate clockwork mod because the home button is the select button.
I'm usibg vegantab b5.1 at the moment.
Any help would be really appreciated!
BAM
If you haven't, you might want to try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934500
Just tried it but still no joy. Looks like the side buttons are on a different touch interface to the rest of the screen. I guess it could be worse. Vegantab is a nice rom to be stuck on.
I wonder if there is a way to make clockwork mod work with a usb keyboard?
Woohoo! It's working again! Just in time for honeycomb too
I searched and searched for similar issues and finally read about either draining the battery or opening up to find the hidden reset button.
I opted to drain the battery.
Now I'm still not going to rubber stamp that draining the battery fixed it but when I did finally plug it in and fire it up I found the buttons worked again.
Another theory I have is that viewsonic might have some poor soldering. The reason I suggest that is because in Australia we've had some stinkin hot days here at 42degrees Celsius with high humidity. So it wouldn't surprise me for a dry solder to become temperamental under these conditions.
Anyways happy ending for now. Well hopefully it'll keep running until a reliable honeycomb rom turns up for gtab hey
I have encountered a similar problem. The side buttons stopped working after a few days of use. They do work sometimes randomly. Is there a reliable solution to this problem?
I tried calibration.ini, and the buttons worked once. They have stopped working again.

[Q] How to calibrate bottom keys ?

Hello!
Is there any way to calibrate the bottom keys( home, back ... ). On my phone they seem to be misaligned. I need to press between the screen and the actual key. Otherwise the touchscreen is working properly. They worked fine before but now I don't know why they behave this way. I am using ARHD 6.6.3. But the problem remains even in the 4ext recovery. Any thoughts?
Don't think there is a way to calibrate them AFAIK. Still, seems like a very odd problem.
It is like the phone thinks that the buttons moved up for a few mm lol.. I tryed all kernels but it is the same.

Capacitive buttons problem

Basically, my phone has went to **** after the stupid buttons at the bottom stopped working, i am so pissed off.
If anyone could tell me off a way off fixing it with a specific rom or the ICS touch screen buttons, that would be great.
Thanks in advance

[Q] Softkeys/Capacitive Keys not working

Hey All,
My softkeys (menu, home, back and search) are acting funny lately. They only work when they are not backlit, ie if they are not backlit they work properly but after the first initial press they don't work again until I leave everything alone for a few seconds and the backlight goes off.
They respond (haptic feedback/slight blink) when I press them while they are lit, so I know the actual keys themselves are working fine.
I initially thought this was a firmware upgrade issue (Running latest CM 10 right now) but the issue persisted even after using Heimdall one click back to stock i997 AT&T rom. It also has the same issue with the latest Beanstalk ROM as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd be fine with disabling the backlight on the keys if that will solve the response issue but I can't figure out how to do that.

[Q] SlimKat Hardware Buttons not workin

Okay, I am a bit of a newbie at flashing roms and rooting my devices. I managed to set up the latest Slimrom of Slimkat on my Nexus S. Now the only hardware buttons that work properly are the back and menu buttons. I get haptic feed back from the search and the home button, but nothing happens. As well I have tried the Navbar with the same results. I maybe a bit of a moron here. Anyone have the same issue or a fix?
One other thing. I am not seeing notifications for any of my apps. I do feel a vibration when some come in but that's it. Wondering if it's tied to the same thing.
[edit] Never mind. Was just a bad install. Did a wipe and re-install and everything is functional now.
