Is it possible to release for mate8?
I just requested it at CM forums.
http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/121337-please-release-cm13-for-huawei-mate-8-nxt-l29/

the basis is there, namely twrp, root and an open kernel source so lets hope the devs support the mate 8

Maybe we should request it at CM forums.

Hopefully we get some aosp love for this phone. Cm tends to drain my battery a bit more than aosp does

id also prefer aosp tbh but for now im actually quite happy with the stock modified rom thing is it has some nice battery saving functions...

That is very true but the biggest thing I miss about aosp is thanking my phone using layers. I'm the type to change my wallpapers at least 3 times a day and of course themes and icon pack to go with it. But when I find a really good combo, I tend to leave it for about two days before changing up again

haha thats crazy to each his own i guess

[Q] How to flash stock ROM Huawei Mate 8

How many ways to install stock firmware of Huawei Mate 8 ?
Could you please let me know ?
so far two: either manual flash via fastboot or by using the italian knife tool. oooor u can also flash a twrp backup of ur own or provided by another user. so technically its three different ways

Can you perhaps tell me more detailed how it works? I have debranded my AL10 to international rom b133 successfully. I am happy with this now as it has solved my notification issue too. But now I am looking for a way to update the international rom to the latest 152 version. Thanks!
look around through the thread here in the mate 8 section, theres a ton of info on how to flash roms

thats the problem... i do also have this issue... other than this issue.. are the many Chinese apps and characters.

u can only fully remove the chinese stuff by unlocking bootloader and rooting ur phone. then u can delete all that stuff by using titanium backup, for example, or by manually deleting the stuff via a root explorer.
aside from that, some L29 roms actually work in terms of notifications but yeah if u wanna stick to AL10 firmwares, im guessing thats a good point @notifications. thats actually the main reason i switched to crossflashing L29 firmwares...

so what you mean is that when i flash the AL29 ROM i wont have any notification issues?
is there any disadvantages over the AL10 rom?
thx buddy
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-AL10 using XDA-Developers mobile app
only advantages as far as ive seen. no chinese stuff, no notification issues and google apps & services preinstalled
btw, new L29 B180 full rom was just made available over in the huawei ota server thread...
Sent from my Huawei Mate 8 NXT-AL10 using Tapatalk
You forgot to mention that after the change you will lost OTA updates.

guys thx for your help... i will flash the AL29 B180 when i get home.. one question left... on the international rom AL29 is the hiapp in Chinese too or is it in English?
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-AL10 using XDA-Developers mobile app
hiapp is not preinstalled on the international roms, since u have google play store instead hiapp is just the chinese app store

Miui pro for redmi 4 prime

I've been using this for a few days and I'd say it's perfect. Based on latest Chinese developer and stable roms you have everything miui has and even more. No Chinese apps totally bug free and debloated. Give it a try guys. You won't regret it. And now there are two versions of it.
MiuiPro Stable 9.2.2.0 : https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=783994&view=findpost&p=68453165
And Miui Pro Developer 7.12.14 :

Sounds good thanks... Look ideal. Kinda' reluctant to change roms again, as all set up and running on epic.. Takes ages setting up all the apps etc..
Might do though after there is more info' on this rom.. (==
I tried 4 or so stock roms, inc' epic, guess epic is semi stock rom. Found some not great on battery. I got my epic one running light..
How many roms have you tried please? I ask so I know if you have knowledge to compare battery life? With all due respect (=
For instance I found the 82.1 rom very heavy on juice, the lighter eur rom was better I found..
Look forward to more info', nice one,.....

Here's the folder containing the rom I've ever tried for my 4 prime. As you see almost all of them. And after all these decided this as the best. It's battery friendly, contains no Chinese, pre rooted, perfectly works with titanium backup and xposed. Of course i used mokee roms for a while and liked it too but to be honest they are not as fluid and beautiful as miui. Mokee 7.1.2 was perfect but not compatible with xposed regretfully. So to those who don't use xposed I suggest mokee but if you want everything all together, miuipro is the rom for you. And to those who keep saying it's scam, I say what's your problem guys? Check it's website and give it a try. You may live it too then [emoji12] [emoji6]
