Is mi4c a good upgrade? - Xiaomi Mi 4C

I am currently with lg g2 and I don't know if I should buy the mi4c and sell the lg g2. The mi4c is currently on sale for 173$ and I can sell my g2 for about 160-170$. My g2 is 9 months old and I know that a lot of people get yellow screen spots after 6-12 months of use.
Is it a upgrade I should do? I really like the g2, but it is almost 3 years old and I would love the second sim for internet on the mi4c.
I also LOVE miui.

Geekbench:
Mi 4C: 1240 and 3228
LG G2: 943 and 2781
Battery life (gsmarena):
Mi 4C: Endurance rating 52h, Talk time 18:31h, Web browsing 9:32h, Video playback 10:47h
LG G2: Endurance rating 81h, Talk time 25:15h, Web browsing 11:42h, Video playback 9:28h
Mi 4C is definitely faster than LG G2 but LG G2 has better battery life. Althought you can fix the bad standby battery life of Mi 4C by using some mods. If you are not in hurry then maybe you can wait little bit till there is Snapdragon 650 devices out. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with SD650 is a beast! SD650 is better than SD808.
Geekbench:
Redmi Note 3 (SD650): 1535 and 3574
If you choose to wait you can test MIUI with your LG G2

I am not in a hurry at all. I know the pro. Might wait or might not change the phone
Thank you all for the help

I am still confused tho. I probably won't get the note, because it is too big for me. I don't want such big phone

"The mi4c is currently on sale for 173$"
Where?
Thanks Gluto

Hey !
I come from a LG G2, this phone was so great, I miss it. So now I have the MI4c and I can give you a little feedback :
Battery :
First I really was disappointed about the battery of the MI4c, it was so cool on the LG G2, I could use it for two days easily.
Now on the MI4c (with the CM 12.1) I can only use it for one day.
Camera
The camera was great on the LG G2, but it's better on the Mi4c. You can film in 4k and take beautifull pictures. With MIUI, you can take a picture in 0.1 second, it's so fast. I really prefer the camera of the MI4c.
Software and Performance
On my LG G2 I was on the Official CM 12.0 rom and it was really fast. Now on the MI4c it's the same, it's fluid and quite stable (with the MIUI rom).
I never tried to play a powerful game, but I tested the Cardboard VR and it was really good. And I really like the screen.
So of course I advise you the MI4c, for his quality and his price. But you will be disappointed about the battery life. If you can buy the 32gb version, buy it because 10 gb isn't enough (and 3gb of ram is better).

That is good like the g2
I get 4h sot. Ty guys for help. I ordered one and we will see if I like it

Cool, be careful about the boot loarder lock. Don't update your phone via the official Ota or you could not install a different rom on it.

I also came from LG G2 to Mi4C:
- first of all - there is (ATM) no sources for Mi4C, no global rom either. You have to use official/local MIUI, or some CM ports. It's not like with LG G2, where u have really big choice of roms. No one knows, if there will be ever sources.
- battery is better on LG G2, but still i can use Mi4C 2 days (now i'm on latest stable MIUI form xiaomi.eu; WiFi/LTE on all time; but SOT about 3h - i'm using phone mostly for texting and e-mails)
- LG G2 UI is, in my opinion, much better than MIUI (e.g. floating dialer, floating sms etc. etc - i love them all). Also MIUI is full of chinese stuff like "HEY THERE IS YOUR'S NEW WALLPAPER PLEASE INSTALL ME!!". Other things is, that u can block all unwanted stuff. MIUI needs to be more adapted, than LG's UI (but it is subcjective ofc).
- i can't see big difference in performance - Snapdragon 808 isn't MUCH better than 800 in daily use. Or just Mi4c's roms are not optimised enough. Also 808 is getting warm quite fast (e.g. 10 minutes on web and u can warm your hands in winter - quite useful ). You can get used to.
Conclusion:
- LG G2 was / is really great phone. The best, which i ever had. (BTW. i hadn't sold my G2, i gave it to my GF, cuz her phone was broken. It has more than 12 months, no problems with screen.)
- Mi4c is atm quite similar to LG G2. The worst thing is software. I'd really like to have access to custom roms. I think MIUI is killing great Mi4c's hardware (except photo app - that one is really cool!)
Also: have you considered Redmi 3? It's cheaper and similar to Mi4C. Weaker processor, but better battery. I'm wondering, if we can notice difference in daily use in performance between present snapdragons.
Regards
EDIT: Ops, i didn't noticed, that you have already ordered one. Well, have a happy use

Nice answer ! I pray that he will not receive a MI4C with the bootloader blocked. Because if you don't like Miui, you couldn't install another rom ><

If you're ordering from gearbest, I wouldn't worry about it. It will come with an unofficial version of MIUI. So be prepared to flash something else. Obviously watch out for the China dev ROMs as the newest version will lock your bootloader.

I canceled my order, because I saw a thread where the mi4c has touch screen issues in the edges. I also don't think it will be a good upgrade. SO I will wait maybe 6-7 months or more and get a new model of xiaomi

Personally I never had touch screen issues, it's not on all models, but it's a risk of course. Maybe the Mi5 will be better. Wait & See

It's hard to say, if it is an "issue". Area, which is responding to touch, gets smaller when you are using more than one finger. It is a confirmed thing, i got the same.
Other thing is, that sometimes keyboard isn't responding well on MIUI. I never had this problem on PAC or CM roms.

dear all
i want to know, is the best choise to buy xiaomi mi4c for right now or not
maybe have another phone to recomended ...
thank you
If you search for a cheap phone and are familiar with unlocking the bootloader to install a custom rom (original chinese miui is horrible) its a nice phone (though you need to charge it each evening).
Mi5 is quite cheap for what you get and for gaming very nice i think. Also, its not too big.
If you don't care about the size of the Phone, leeco le max is powerful.
If you really search for a budget phone, take a look at the redmi series or buy an old one and update it with custom rom (If you don't play heavy games, you dont really need a new phone.) I Used my HOX untill this summer with cm 12 and next kernel, battery is very nice (around 1.5 days with whatsapp, sometimes browser and little gba emulation).
Hope i could help u choosing a phone
@kucingbaik2
Lenovo Zuk Z2 has a awesome hardware for his price.
I would go for that, but the software isn't as nice i heared. But no problem flash a custom Rom.
Mi5 is nice too.
If you can still find the 2GB version for around $100 USD, then it's a good buy. Otherwise, Redmi Note 3 snapdragon version if you are okay with 5.5-inch phone.
P.S. ignore the other guy. MIUI is not horrible. It's just fine.
Lots of people around me used Mi5:silly:
@lt697
it's a good phone for less price. Camera should be better then Zuk Z2 i think i heared, if it's worth for OP. But better read some tests and compares.
Each person is difference in his likes.

The chinese version i had on my mi4s when i bought it WAS horrible xD laggs over laggs, slow as hell, bad battery (about one day with luck) and luckily i'm very good in chinese.. ^^
I just wanted to say if u are planning to stay with stock rom (and dont speak chinese) its defenitely not worth it.
However, the mi-globe rom (or any other debloated roms) are genious. Like IOS with the capabilities of android
nowadays i would be deciding between Zuk Z2 and something from LeEco, Mi4c ain't that good value for money anymore plus too much hassle with bootloader, go to Kimovil.com to compare phones and prices
currently from Xiaomi only Redmi note 3 pro (redmi note 4 was downgrade severally) but seriously **** Xiaomi with their bootloader locking

Yeah Xiaomi's support (unlocking bootloader, mi4s was announced with MM, still on LP) isn't too good.
But their hardware quality is nice.
And the DEV's nearly always develop an easier method (e.g. unlocking bl).
Overall i agree with u, mi4c isnt worth for money now

should i buy Mi4C

Hi everyone
I wanna buy a new phone and the specs of Mi4c have catch me compared to it's price, but then there is many review that says it have a heating issue, so now i just wanna ask you as owners of this phone, do you advise me to buy it or to look for another model, i should mention that im not a gamer just from time to time on simple games, i use most this phone for social medias and video calls at skype.
thank you in advance for any help
I did take the plunge and so far i love it My findings:
Beware that mi4c is China only phone originally so don't expect Global MIUI ROM officially. you can try MIUI eu ROM or sMIUI as alternative but in general this phone will stuck with Android 5.1.1 officially, only the MIUI version is upped. the base OS is still the same Lollipop. the best way to enjoy Nougat is with CM but its Marshmallow CM experience is pretty much stable all around at this time of development.
No overheating so far, but then again i flashed into CM from the start so no MIUI for me.
The Rectangular design is Sony like so i love it (subjective ofc)
Great camera and screen quality.
Battery life is on par with any 3000mah flagship so no worries. (but then again i'm using CM here)
BUT..
If you value super battery life, but not great but above average camera and screen, you can grab the Redmi Note 3 (Snapdragon version) with roughly the same price. Plus the Global ROM availabilty is guaranteed for Xiaomi RN3. I personally take mi4c just because i like the design language plus the camera quality proven by GSMArena and others. So there you have it.
The fact it overheats compared to other phones is true, but only partly. Yes, it overheats, but it only does so on miui. I find, using any other custom rom based on aosp or cm, that the issue is completely gone. And when I overheats it really isn't that much of an issue in my experience.
If you ask me, you can't find a better 5"-5.2" phone under 200. If you value community support too it's basically an obligated choice as well.
The overheating isn´t gone with another Rom.
I tried every Rom and still have this problems (not as much as with miui, but still overheating), but with other Roms you could manage the throttling better. So you don´t have lags and freezes while gaming what is important, but for me it heats on 50-65+ on every Rom while play 3d games and rare throttling.
The problem is the 808 - 810 series. Every phone with this cpus overheats.
There is no overheating if you put the GPU and the BIG cores in powersave. You should get like 4-5 hours screen-on time and no performace issues. Also the battery should last 48h with normal use.
What you mean with "put the GPU and the BIG cores in powersave" ?
At least you have a 30k antutu device and i don´t believe that you can play 3d games well like that. Thats for sure not what the OP want.
I won´t say that the Mi4c is a bad device, price / performance is pretty good, but its not right there aren´t overheating problems. Everyone should now about that issue before he buy it and if i know before that i can just use 60-70 % of the performance i would looking for another device maybe (i tought there is more space above the 68k written in the test results like in every phone with another rom ...).
The best result i get was with RR 5.7.1 constant 55k antutu (heating about ~55°c). With some roms my phone throttle down to 30-40k and i had enormly problems to play NFS, fps 15 after 2-3 mins. With efficient mode i stuck at 45k or less.
For sure not every phone is same, what mean if you are lucky you couldn´t have overheating problems.

thank you for your answer but i just wanna know if it heat on normal usage, like social media, taking photos and skype video calls, cause the main reason i wanna buy this phone is the screen and the camera, i casualy play games and when i do, it just simple games like domino or guessing games.
Well, in your case no. You won´t have overheating problems just for social media etc. and very simple games.
But could be that you find a new game/app wich need performance then you could have. Future ! ;D.
BTW Vector 2 looks like a simple game, Pokemon Go looks like a simple game, a map with some stops but you would have overheating probs (resp. - i have - ~55°c). Just saying ;D.

thank you again, i will go for it, i was hesitating between this phone and redmi 3s
The main reason you shouldn't buy a redmi 3s is the well known bug that keeps the phone stuck on 2G in some occasions (you can read more on miui.com or here in xda).
@Danny94, that 55k antutu sounds low. And so does that cpu temperature you were talking about. I wouldn't rule out the possibility it's a defective unit, frankly. With all the roms I've used I've never gotten less than 65k and 72k with my current daily driver - TS CM13.

I had Z5 Premium before mi4c (don't ask why the downgrade) and it does overheat, causing a game like Horizon Chase to stutter after a while. None that i found with mi4c. so even if this phone CPU overheats in games, the impact isn't as pronounced compared to 810 powered phone. Yeah gaming is quite major part in smartphone but it's taken as an in-between activity so in pretty much all other activities, even 810 is still very good as i have used in Z5P and no complain generally.

Guys i believe you to reach 69k ... on Antutu, but thats not a true value... I reach 69 k too on first time, you should try to test 5 times or more behind each other until your value doesn´t drop anymore. That was for me 55k on RR 5.7.1, with the most other Roms i was on 35k after 3-5 test.
The first test doesn´t have any sense on this cpu, because of the overheating -> throttle. Or does you play a game for only 3 minutes too ?
Yeah the Zuk Z2 looks great. I like 5" smartphones and at the moment the Zuk Z2 is the best in my opinion, the Rom should be bad, but there are for sure custom roms.

thank you but zuk z2 is around 210$ while mi4c will cost me only 120$
I would go for Mi4S, it worth the upgrade IMO...
As i know the Mi4c has the same hardware like the Mi4s, just small things like fingerprint sensor, sd -slot, little bit more battery, but costs a lot more.
It really depends on the relative price of Mi 4c compared to other devices.
The only thing that makes Mi 4c stand out is its camera quality. It takes amazing photos (though the focus speed is average) and high quality 4k videos (though the lack of stabilization means you need very steady hands).
Performance of Mi 4c is good but it heats too much. Stand-by power consumption is too high (even when compared with nearly identical phones like Mi 4s).
I'm not sure what prices you can get, but in China you can get Mi 5 (3GB RAM, 32GB Storage) for USD250 through the official Mi shop. The Red Mi Note 3 and Note 4 offer metal body, fingerprint sensor, larger battery and similar performance. You can think about them as well. Note that the Red Mi series have noticeably worse camera than Mi 4c.

Honor 8 - worth buying?

OnePlus 3T / Honor 8 / Axon 7 - which is better?
I want strong battery and good camera.
Honor 8 have better camera than OP3T? good pictures on low light conditions?
what about development community?
1. The best phone is the one that suits your needs or most of them
2.There is no perfect phone hat you gain somewhere you lose elsewhere
3.There are a gazillion of reviews on youtube about the phones you want to check
4. The development for honor 8 is as you can see on roms, kernels section
I would choose between Honor 8 and OnePlus 3T. To be honest i wanted the OP3T very very much but i finished buying the H8.
If you want good 3D performance for gaming, decent camera and aluminium build go for OP3T.
If you want a fcking beautifull design,a very fast phone in daily use, decent camera but you dont play to much graphics intensive games go for H8.
I cant make a difference between this 2,both are amazing smarthones but let's say something more.
H8 is not a phone to throw,i think even a little drop would crack some glass and it's very very slippery. A case and a tempered glass is recommended. But we didnt forgot the OP3T ? Why i didnt get it ? Come one,on the site it's says "Delivered whithin 9 days"... I think they wanted to say 9 months but let's forget that. The other problem is that a lot of people are saying that is better to dont get a device with snappdragon 821 because drains battery faster. After all it's an amazing phone, but the kirin 950 runs faster than snap 821 in real test. The battery it's fine too,i get every time like 5-6h SoT and i'm ok with that. But i have only one problem with, the zoom, dont even think to take a photo or a video with zoom. I hope you understand what i tryed to say and i hope this will help you 👍
Btw,this phone worth buying.
Just go with the 3T if you want development and good camera
one plus has best support and community
But H8 have better camera than OP3T, No?
no customs roms for H8 and stock isnt very good..
OP3T get 8-9h SOT sometimes...
I dont know which is better to me.
I dont playing heavy games.

Just go on their facebook page and see how lots of people are complaining about the delivery time. Some bought the phone in the first day of launch and they are still waiting for it.
This was a difficult choice for me as well. I had OnePlus in the past, one of the thing that annoyed me most them were various bugs in their firmware, although I can't comment how they are doing now with OxygenOS.
To me OnePlus 3T is overall a better device for consumption. Bigger AMOLED screen and very fast performance with lots of rams for both apps and games. Also lots of custom roms support.
In term of camera I think it depends on what you use it for. The 3T will clearly be better for video recording since it has 4K recording and OIS. Although it's 16MP front camera seems to be a downgrade compared the 8MP on the original 3, because of much smaller pixel size letting in less lights.
To me the Honor 8 is better for still shots because of the larger pixel size and the dual camera which really help with dynamics. The Honor 8 can decent photos late in the day and gets really sharp with macroshots.
I think you only pick the Honor 8 if you want specific things from it. Like the smaller size, microSD support and the good camera for photos, those were more important factors to me than performance. On the software size, Huawei have lots to improve, but Nougat version is coming out in Feb.

I like the Honor design and because it I want to buy this phone...
I dont know!!!
In my opinion the Honor 8 is an excellent phone. As said before there is always a trade off with any phones you'll ever consider. After having my Honor 8 for the past 2 months or so here are my impressions of it so far.
The camera on the Honor 8 is excellent for still photos and does fairly well in low light shots because of the monochrome sensor.
One concern I've seen many reviewers commenting on was the fact that the Honor 8 has a 1080p display. Even though it isn't 1440p the display is crisp and shows no pixelation. The screen on default color settings has a bit of a blue hue to it but that can easily be changed in the settings to a warmer more seemingly accurate color profile.
The Kirin processor is an excellent CPU, very efficient and performs well. The GPU will suffice for I'd probably 99% of the games available for Android. It also comes with a nice 4GB of RAM and I haven't had many issues with it needing to reload recently opened apps.
Although Huawei skinned Android with their EMUI it really isn't the worst UI I've seen on a phone. Though, if you do get the Honor 8 then I highly recommend updating to the Nougat beta. Now, one of the most impressive aspects of this phone however is the fingerprint scanner. It's one of the quickest and most accurate I've ever used. I don't think any phone that has a fingerprint scanner can compete with the Honor 8's.
My previous phone was a Galaxy S7 and one thing I have to say is that my S7 much like most Samsung phones in the past have so many gimmicky features that I find useless. Unlike the S7 though the Honor 8 in this aspect has a wide variety of actually useful features. One of those features is the Smart key which is a button apart of the fingerprint scanner. You can set it to open apps, turn on flashlight, camera, etc.
Overall, much like the vast majority of people who have bought the Honor 8 I'm extremely satisfied with the phone.
Honor 8 is cheaper too, you can get one for less than $300.

There is a way to upgrade to latest beta without any boot unlocking/rooting/wiping your data/etc.
Haven't encountered any issues on the beta and it's even more fluid, functional and beautiful than EMUI 4.1.

Then go with the 3T, as honor 8 have poor development. (1+ released all the necessary files for the development of the 3T)
But Honor 8 is more beautiful and better camera...

I have some questions regarding Honor 8

I am buying a new phone and need some help. I see that Honor 8 is great for a INR 18,000 ($280). Main problem is the device is an year old but honor 8 pro is quite costly. So please tell me:
1. Is is still worth it? Else tell me any better phone in this range.
2. Why the development is so slow, I see half the roms are unofficial also tell me the best rom for Battery and Cam.
3. Any possibility of O?
4. What about battery life after N update?
Thank you
1. I'm still very pleased with my phone nearly one year after buying it.
2. Stock ROM, it's great for battery life. Gives you 5-6 hours SoT on Nougat.
3. Android O? I have no idea.
4. Battery life is great after Nougat update. I'm using version B389. No problems either.
Sorry for the short answers, I hope you can use them.

1.yes, it worth at 18k
2.also the best ROM's are RROS,Carbon(best my favourite),Los and more, use the one plus ported camera it was soo good, you can find in the themes section.
2(i) camera is too good in stock the bokeh effects will amaze you.
3.Many devs said the O will definitely live in honor 8.
4.Battery life is too good after update , i am getting 5-7 hr battery live on my FRD-L02C675B330 (indian version )
or if you don't have patience in updates , better to go for another option ,but after price drop this is the best .
The price drop is the main point I am considering it but few people are complaining about battery life in 7.0. I currently have RN3 and it easily gives me 5-6 hrs SOT and manages to give good battery even on lte for whole day.
I read somewhere that official roms are not there because of some problem? What is that?
1.Yes.
2.Development is slow because it's hard to make a full stable rom for Kirin. Anyway,i use LN OS and everything smooth,no lag,no f/c,battery is decent (5h sot),no overheating.
3.I think we will get Android O,i just think.
4.I get like 4-5h sot on B389 (FRD-L09). Some guys get more, like 6-7h sot but depends on carier network too, why? A good signal saves your battery.
5****** I would get this phone over S7 Edge and S8 even if it got all that hate, why? I tested both, S7 Edge and S8, i made even a little speed test between all 3, H8 wins. Not only in terms of performance, but the S8 feels like a stupid toy in my had. H8>S7 Edge>S8

I just bought myself a 64gb honor 8 couple of days ago currently waiting for it to arrive at my doorstep. I have considered op3, axon 7, g5 plus and the p9 since they all fall almost in the same price bracket.
The reason? Based on reviews I can conclude that the honor 8 provides the best overall performance and features within this $300-400 range. And the size and design itself is great for one handed use. I really like the camera on the s7, really quick to capture moving objects, but it's just too expensive. maybe I'll get it once the price has fallen below $400.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite buy it

I wonder if anyone can help me, should Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite buy it. In Vietnam market, its selling price is very good.
Link in VietNames: https://didongviet.vn/samsung-galaxy-note-10-lite
why not get s10e? or wait for s20
I would have definitely went the Note 10 Lite if my current phone (Note 8) wasn't working so damn well for my needs. I think the 10 Lite offers the best combination of features for the price than any other phone today, especially to those who want a stylus. The 3.5mm headphone jack and a non-curved screen actually make it more attractive (to me) than the more expensive Note 10 models.
I'm wondering about this as well. I'm in the US on T-mobile and wondering how this will work. Someone did me a favor by dropping my Note FE and now I'm in the market for a replacement (screen was toasted due to the drop). Wondering how the 10 Lite will work as a daily driver here in the US.
Anyone have any thoughts based on their experiences? Especially @butchieboy - would you recommend it as a daily driver (and only phone)?
Thanks in advance.
Hello, well i am using this phone now for about 2 month's. I am very happy with the phone for my purpose of use. For the price you will get a lot off phone is my opinion. The screen is fantastic, large, great colors, good visible in light. It runs very smooth, no lags at all and in my country the updates comes fast. All the good UI features are present and working very well. I am not a gamer so i could not inform you about gaming performance, only simcity buildit i use and that is running without any lag. The camera is pretty well, very nice wide angle and good HDR quality. Night photography is possible in pro-mode and for what i have seen reasonably. And then the S-pen, that is the reason i bought this one and not the s10 lite. I love the S-Pen and the features. Easy to use and very handy.
The battery gives me more then one day of usage, about 35 hrs. And with the charger it is fully loaded in a hour. The sound with headset and bluetooth speakers is good. Connection also, haven't had problems. The fingerprint reader is not the best there is, in bright light it does not work all the time but face unlock is very fast and accurate.
Overall opinion with marks 1-5:
Display, 5
Multitasking, 4
Performance daily use, 4/5
Battery, 5 (more then one day on fair use)
Software, 4
Updates, 4/5
Design, 5 (personal)
Fingerprint, 3
Cheers!

Thanks for your frank and detailed review.
I have this phone and i can't agree more with you.
I think its an excellent phone, especially if you need a stylus.
I live in United States and use it on At&t and love it. Can't beat the price. Plus bootloader can be unlocked and very easy to root if you care about that.

I've decided the Note 10 Lite is the phone for me, after researching for a while. Don't play games, don't even need a decent camera, and it's the only decent(ish) phone in the UK currently that can be had for under £35 a month, everything else goes up way to much. Plus it should be a nice upgrade from my P20 Pro, even if it's not got flagship specs.
Currently waiting a week as I'm almost into the free upgrade period, and I'm not spending £50 to release early when I could just wait a week!

Gaming ain't bad bro. Just not high refresh rate and all that.
I am going to buy this phone should I go for it in 2020? I will be using this phone for at least 2 years but I have doubt on this phone's processor please reply
I'm also very happy with 10 lite...love it much more day by day
I've had mine a week now and it's brilliant really (for my use!)
It's now in a spigen case, so the plastic back really doesn't bother me. The whole UI is miles faster than my old P20 Pro, even with the supposed chip differences, that's not bothered me at all! Battery life is good, the screen is bright and sharp and I'm very glad I went for it!
I love the S-Pen. Don't use it all that much tbh, but for screen snips, selecting text and playing with the AR camera, it's fab! Certainly glad I have it than not. Had the first cause to use the screen-off note function the other day and it was brilliant.
There are a few drawbacks however:
The in-screen fingerprint sensor is trash. Like really bad, when I go to my P20 Pro it's instant compared to the Notw10Lite, and that's when the note actually recognises my fingerprint. It got worse when I fitted a screen protector, just refused to work at all so instead I just set a pattern and use face unlock, which works well.
The camera is wierd. It defaults to a mid-zoom which takes the clearer images. If I back it down to no zoom the images become slightly blurred, so I need to get used to that
Samsung software, this was always something I knew would be tricky, because I don't like it. Nova launcher prime went on within half an hour of unboxing it and now it's about as good as it will get. Open app notifications can't be swiped away without closing the app fully, some refuse to go at all and the samsung software spent a week throwing notifications at me to use it's stuff (I don't have a samsung account, don't want to use Bixby etc...)
It is nice though, and a very good compromise for a big screen with stylus phone without spending full fat note prices. Hopefully in time some lovely rom's will come out for it, although I use google pay 100% of the time so that could be a potential issue.
If you are interested in getting a Note 10 Lite. Why not just get the Note 9? As it is flagship device and has more features that the Note 10 Lite.

A good question is where to buy new note 9 in 2020...
I love the note10 lite, but it's too hot (not like sexy girl!). The Exynos 9810 heats up even under light load. And in games, like Pascals Wager, becomes an oven. Also note10 lite does not hold the cellular signal very well.
Otherwise it's a great middle-range smartphone, with a good camera and performance

You can easily find a brand new unit on eBay or any other reputable online retailer. You might be able to find one in a 3rd party high street retailer. I have the N960N (which is powered by the Exynos 9810) and it doesn't heat up that much, unless I have my Note 9 under heavy load
Okay so here is the deal. I currently own a Moto Maxx (xt1225), which is old and dying. I can't find a good offer on the older note models like 9 or 8. BUT i can grab a Note 10 lite for around 360 bucks. Is it worth it? For all i know this is pretty much a S9 with an S-Pen. My problem is that the XDA scene does not look promising and my experience with moto maxx was pretty bad cause it was nearly dead too. I had an galaxy S2 and it was awesome lot of development! But i don't wanna get stuck with another dead phone for 6 years again, any thoughts?
