Code:
I'm not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war,
or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you
have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before
flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the
finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
Note: If you're on Miui 7, flash the following stock ROM zip before flashing any of the custom ROM available on the forum.

First of all I'd like to thanks dh.harald, smoki3, k2wl and everyone else who helped in building up the device tree.
In other ROMs, the biggest problem is of random reboots/shutdowns and that Clash of Clans is not working. Initially, I spent for over a week to fix those bugs but really couldn't find what actually causes the above two issues.
The problem lies in the kernel because flashing intersectRaven kernel or the stock kernel for that matter fixes the above two issues.
Unfortunately, I couldn't track down the commit in the mi4i-dev/dh.harald kernel source which causes these problems.
So, I started with the stock kernel, booted it with CM, made WiFi drivers working and applied the patches from intersectRaven's kernel source.
Now everything is working with no random shutdowns and with CoC working.
I'll keep maintaining this ROM now.
Also, I'm not planning to bump the kernel version because I have feeling that some change while bumping the kernel version only is what caused the problem in the first place. Neither does bumping the kernel version gives any performance boosts.
However, I'll keep making important changes in the kernel as required.
Installation Instructions:
1. Root your phone.
2. Copy the ROM zip to your phone (the link of the ROM zip in the first post).
3. Flash TWRP using Mi4i toolkit. (Advance users can flash the image manually from this link).
4. Reboot the phone to recovery mode.
5. Wipe data/factory reset.
6. Flash ROM zip file.
7. Flash GApps (can be downloaded from here)
8. Reboot to System.
9. Enjoy!
going to try this once i figure out why my CM12.1 goes to black screen at startup
camera performance?
Thanks for taking out time to build this, I am looking for a pure stock experience in Mi4i and your build seems to be very close.
Can you please post some camera shots taken indoor and outdoor?
For installation, just factory reset from twrp or full wipe (include wipe system)???.
btw you should write how to install.
Is it as smooth as Wilson3q's build. The reason why I'm comparing is that out of all the custom ROMs out there, I find his ROM the smoothest.

I get the recent apps swiping lag. I made the mistake of flashing the stock gapps so now im re-flashing and flashing the kernal. But so far it seems good other then a little issue i had with APNs and data.
The setup screen is actually very laggy and i don't have a keyboard to type in my wifi password.

I haven't used his build. I can't say how does it stand in comparison to his build.
In this release, I aimed more at getting the bugs fixed (random shutdowns and CoC not working) which were becoming too annoying.
I'll now be focusing more on making it even smoother.
I'd suggest you to try and see for yourself how it stands.
I flashing dh.harald's build now as i couldn't go past the setup screen cause play services kept crashing after i re-flashed the rom and gapps.
I'm reinstalling your build currently.

I remember I was also getting that crash. I guess I've fixed that in my build.
Feel free to post bugs.

I don't understand, this ROM already has Raven's tweaks
/!\Thread will be moved in Android dev section by moderator..../!\
Hi!
I share you my own build based on Ivan andI9300's works with my works.
This ROM will NOT work if:
[fix in next build] - you have partitonned your system (less of 1GB of free espace)
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
What's news in this ROM:
-Full CM-13
-RIL code's based on I9300 Github
-Apps dex-preoptimization (speed up first boot)
-Brightness setup updated
-Swap activated (kernel)
-IO SHEDULERs added (kernel)
-DOZE Activated and working - (see screenshots)
-No bugs with auto rot.
-No bugs with camera
-No bug with BT (thanks P.A.N. from i9305 github)
I let you try it and report. This build will be updated every weeks.
How install it:
-Just install it over another CM13 Roms without wipe.
-You came from CM-12.1, you need to wipe all datas (system-data-cache-dalvik).
If you wipe all datas, after install GApp you may will have an error with AOSP Keyboard (crash):
How install GApps:
-Install the Rom, and directly after, install Aroma GApp
-Select all that you want WITH Google Keyboard. After have selected your apps, choose to delete KeyboardStock!!.
-Don't install Google Camera, it dooesn't worked!
-Install GApps, wipe cache and reboot
Or you can install the apk that i share, and deactivate Old Google keyboard
Then please DL Android keyboard apk, and save your current ROM before updated!
How DOZE works:
-download from xda doze setting editor or naptime from PlayStore
-Edit times to force Doze to be activated more fast (see my screenshots, i use this timers)
To try Doze you must let your phone, it will not work of you have your phone in a pocket on a car/train etc etc. If a sensors detect a movement, the phone becomes ACTIVE.
You can log Doze states by commands from adb:
Code:
Dumpsys battery unplug
Dumpsys deviceidle force
Dumpsys deviceidle step

No, just a different way to code. I haven't say nothing about mod/others.
I know that many users had pb with Ivan's build (auto rot./data etc...). If i can offer another way, it's a good thing.
For information, i had NEVER installed Ivan's build, only mine, i don't know if you will have sames pb.
My Rom works since 1 mounth on my phone.

Don't install Agni kernel, if the dev. doesn't have activated Swap, you may have a bootloop (fstab file error, partitions not mount).

first of all, Thanks for this rom, @bizcuite !
so far so good aside from 1 weird issue with external sd card. ín storage settings it is displayed as "portable-storage" and card was renaed to "mac_create_". while using titanium backup to restore my apps i had to guess the folder name related to the external storage. after i found this and choose my backup folder i get the message "folder not writable", although i can still use the folder to acess my apps and restore them.
i'm concernd about this. how do we fiz this?
thanks a lot!

Move your backup to internal storage and then restore. I didn't let titanium mess.with my sd card. Because many where reporting, loss of data and ****.
Hello! i follow your guide, but i have the same result :S Now i will do a list what i do when install the rom:
I use TWRP 3.0.0-0
1) Wipe all partitions (dalvik/art - cache - system - internal memory)
2) I install the rom zip.
3) I install Aroma Gapps directly and in custom setting i also install google keyboard and removing old aosp keyboard)
4) Finally i reboot, but only time system go in bootloop animation (i try it for 10 minutes)
i don' t use agni kernel
My rom base firmware is XXUFND3
Thanks for help me all
Wow, this ROM rocks, very stable, definitely a daily driver for me. Ok, this is what I did for install:
1) Use TWRP 3.0 to wipe the phone completely (internal storage included)... TWICE
2) Install the ROM via TWRP.
3) Install OpenGAPPS via AROMA installer, added the google keyboard inside the installation. - Make sure you select 'forceclean'
4) Boot, AOSP keyboard error, went into settings, and selected the google keyboard as default.
5) Flashed SuperSU zip file via TWRP
6) Installed BusyBox via Google Play
7) Flashed Xposed by romracer
8) Installed Xposed istaller
9) Installed 3C toolbox Pro from Google Pay
10) Proceed to delete the AOSP keybord and other useless items from system using 3C Toolbox Pro.
11) Installed SPenCommand.
12) Base system is now ready for loading everything else from the Play Store.
Only issue I have so far is that I cannot move programs into the system partition using either Titanium or 3C Toolbox. Other than that everything works fine.
One more thing, Google Camera works fine for me.

Have you try to install only the Rom without gapp, to see if it boots correctly and after install gapps?
Bizcuite
Yes bizcuite i test it also without gapps, I don't know why it dosn't work just me xD
let's see if someone else has the same problem.
Install philz recovery mount all partitions and then wipe preload manually or just tap clean to install new rom. Then flash the rom.
No many reports or complaints from users.
Is it a good news? No download of the ROM or no bugs?

READ EVERYTHING HERE BEFORE FLASHING:
-Updating to TWRP 3.1.1-0 is recommended
-Use BeansGapps Mini https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=171927
-Not prerooted. SuperSU stable or Magisk stable recommended
-No camera included. Google Camera 2.5.052 recommended http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/camera/camera-2-5-052-release/
-As of the 4/23 release the ro.opa.eligible_device=true is no longer in the system/build.prop. This will cause the Google App to use Google Now interface instead of Google Assistant. If you want to use Google Assistant use the Get Assistant - Root app on the PlayStore (choose NEW method when prompted) OR if you use Magisk theres a Google Assistant Enabler module for this.
-Want a Pixel Launcher that allows swipe up to App Drawer in landscape? Sideload the Android O Pixel Launcher from apkmirror.com http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...ixel-launcher-o-3952143-android-apk-download/

Kernels support f2fs, firstly, not ROMs. The stock AOSP kernel with this ROM doesn't support f2fs. But if you find a custom kernel that supports f2fs you can use it and format your data and cache partitions to f2fs on any ROM. Secondly, f2fs is only faster on writes, so only data and cache partitions benefit from that file system. ROM support for f2fs (as had been popular a couple years ago) would only be to allow system partition to also support f2fs, which this ROM doesn't have. That type of support is pretty much a thing of the past because it's a pain in the ass to do since ROM zips started using block storage convention and there's no speed advantage to having system be f2fs anyway. Make sense?
I don't wanna hear about all the common f2fs issues that have nothing to do with the ROM if you do try it. These include:. Couldn't flash ROM/GAPPS because it says system partition too small, couldn't make or restore a nandroid, lost all my data because I didn't offload it first, lost all my data when my data partition got corrupted, wrong internal storage size reported, can't take photo/screenshot write to internal storage.
If you're smarter than the average problem solver and have a PC, an OTG, and enjoy offloading and moving stuff back, then the modest (if not just placebo) speed gain of going f2fs may be worth the risk of wasted time and lost data. If you're the user that uses a toolkit instead of a terminal, then I'd let that sleeping dog lie.
Your point(s) well taken. Personally I have found little to gain from f2fs., except for my old TF300T
This rom is superb!!! It contains just about everything I had ever dreamt of seeing on the lovely, old Nexus 7, from Nougat in full flow to Google assistant and Night Light. I can even watch some previously impossible TV by
using the 'hide' function in the new version 11.6 of Magisk along with Magisk Manager from the Playstore. Many thanks to the Dev for giving my Nexus 7 a new lease of life. This is super work.

but one problem i think.
if its possible, in next build remove some apk from system, like chrome, calendar, calculator, gboard, google fotos

The ROM is in sync with @BeansTown106 source with the exception of my removing Google Camera 4.x from the Gapps because it's incompatible with Flo. Removing gboard would leave you with no keyboard, see the changelog in the OP.
Are you bumping up against a full system when attempting to flash more mods?
You're welcome to remove whatever system apps you want (before or after booting) if you need more system partition space. That said, the only apps I'd consider removing from built in Gapps, if they are still in source on the next go around, would be Hangouts, Chrome, and Photos.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download the ROM and save it to internal storage or, preferably,
an external micro-SD card;
2. Boot your device into TWRP recovery;
3. Perform a full wipe (/data, dalvik, /system & /cache). NOTE: If you saved the ROM zip on internal storage, DO NOT wipe internal storage. If you saved the ROM zip to external storage, format your /data partition;
4. Select INSTALL from TWRP's main menu, navigate to the storage location of the ROM zip,
select the file, and swipe to commence with installation. The process will take around two minutes;
5. When installation completes, to prevent possible boot looping, wipe cache & dalvik cache. Reboot system. NOTE: first boot may take several minutes. Do not interrupt the process and be patient. Subsequent boot ups will occur much faster.
6. After completing initial setup and signing in with your Google account, it is very important to go ahead and update Google Play Services and all GApps which require updates through the Play Store. This step is important to ensure proper functionality of the Google Assistant Launcher.

Do you mean in the stock ROM? I never had any problems with the camera in that ROM. I also tested Open Camera and had the same problem

No I mean in this custom ROM. Does the Pixel Camera take and store photos OK? Is it just the video camera giving camera error?

OK. I may know where the problem is. I'll check the camera drivers this evening and try to iron it out. If so, I'll post a patch you can flash from TWRP to fix it.

Nice man thank you
Just curious is there a way on your custom rom to make the sd card part of the overall storage on my device?

Perhaps. I'll check on the possibility of adaptive storage. Yeah you can set it yourself by using a terminal emulator and entering the following:
adb shell sm set-force-adoptable true
I just wanted to let everyone know that the old Rro layers manager works with this OS... Some layers work, some don't... You just have to fool around with it to find one you like that works properly. Here's some of my settings screens with Jeremy Beck's Acid layers installed. For some reason I can't get the main settings screen's background to go dark to match. Same thing on the stock rom though... Does anyone know how to mod the settings app to change the background to black?

Did you type "su" first to grant root access? Also, be sure ADB Debugging is enabled in Developer Options.

I did type su to get root access but it did the same thing but I can't find adb debugging unless USB debugging is the same.
USB Debugging is the same as ADB Debugging on this device. You are correct there. I'll see if I can get adoptive storage enabled on mine. If so I'll make a flashable mod.

OK. The audio settings force close I can fix. That's a conflict between Spotify and Viper4Arise. I'll get a patch for it.
Hi folks,
LOS with MicroG has finally been released.
For people who don't know what the heck is this, it's besically LineageOS unofficial fork with built-in microG gapps implementation. That's right! It's the same LOS without Google spyware.
Some cool features of LOS with MicroG
1. Full Play Services compatibility:
This ROM has built-in microG free-as-in-freedom re-implementation of Google's proprietary Android user space apps and libraries.
This enables you to use every Google service you need without keeping another closed-source binary blob in your Android system.
2. Native F-Droid support:
LineageOS for microG comes with F-Droid already installed. You can use it to access plenty of FOSS applications
3. OTA updates like official LOS:
The ROM has OTA updates from upstream LineageOS weekly. In this way you always receive new features and security updates just few days after they are released mainline.
Installation instructions
This ROM and official LineageOS use different signing keys, so you can't flash this ROM on top of the official LineageOS. Clean installation is strongly suggested.
1. Download the ROM zip and vendor+firmware zip
2. Boot into TWRP
3. Wipe System, Data, Cache and Dalvik
4. Flash the Vendor+Firmware zip and the ROM zip
5. Flash Magisk (optional)
6. Reboot
Post-installation
First, open the "microG Settings" app and check if everything is OK in the "Self-Check" section; you will probably have to give microG some permissions, like location and file access.
1. UnifiedNlp
UnifiedNlp is the microG Network Location Provider, which provides the current location of the device without the use of the GPS. While Google's NLP can only use Google's servers for positioning, UnifiedNlp obtains the geolocation through different plugins, which interface to different services.
By default there are two plugins installed:
MozillaNlpBackend, which uses the Mozilla Location Service (online)
NominatimNlpBackend, which uses MapQuest's Nominatim service (based on OpenStreetMap) for geocoding (online)
If you want to use these plugins, go to microG Settings -> UnifiedNlp Settings, configure and enable both.
If you instead want different plugins (like the LocalGsmNlpBackend, which uses a local offline database of the GSM towers to obtain the location) you can download them in F-Droid and enable them in the same way.
Reboot and check whether UnifiedNlp is correctly set up in the "Self-Check" section of the "microG Settings" app.
2. F-Droid
You have the F-Droid Privileged Extension installed by default, why not use it? To make a good use of it go to the F-Droid Settings and enable auto updates.
3. Google Cloud Messaging
Many apps rely on the Google Cloud Messaging, a Google proprietary system to push notifications to your device. This feature is implemented in microG but, as not every user requires it, is disabled by default. If you need it, enable the "Google Device registration" and the "Google Cloud Messaging" features in the "microG Settings" app.
4. Weather service
If you want the weather features of LineageOS (like in the lock screen or in the cLock widget) you have to download a weather provider from here. Choose your favorite one, install it and configure it in cLock (or in Settings → Apps → Gear icon → Weather).

Battery life is amazing since the notorious Google Play Services is not present on this ROM. Performance is more or less the same. The main reason people use MicroG over other GApps is because of privacy and battery.
And talking about your last question, I guess you wipe System partition everytime you do a clean flash. So yeah, it's completely safe to wipe System partition.

You can easily get contacts.vcf file from google and just import it in your normal contacts app. Takes a minute only.

Because it is microg ROM. Gmail will not work.
surely, the answer could have been more elaborate. and yes, Gmail can work with microg, but in my case, I have not succeeded.

Personally I don't use gmail (using K9), but maybe you will find an answer here:

Thank you very much for the reply! I think my problem is not in the mail client, but in the authentication of credentials that access my contacts, calendar events and emails. I think that this issue is not yet solved
Does 0805 build have included vendor? I can see only 5.62MB vendor.new.dat.br which is usually 280MB on official one.
For some reason i won't get the UnifiedNLP working on my Poco F1.
I did a clean install, coming from the latest MIUI global ROM and followed the post install guide on https://lineage.microg.org/. The only additional Tool i installed was the latest Version of Magisk.
**EDIT**
I reinstalled microg LineageOS without Magisk, but it still does not work.
Any suggestions?
Most probably you've hit version with support for something called Qualcomm Location. It was fixed in build on 27th November because thingy was not working well (also because it is closed source soft).
AFAIK there are two ways to fix it:
- install LOS >=2711.
- patch framework-res.apk to force use UnifirdNlp. There should be some info about procedure in a LOS thread though I'm not 100% sure.
