Hi,
I own Beats Urbeats in ear and Solo headphone . Solo is so loud with my HTC M7 and Sensation xe(tried lots of mods ) .
My friend suggest Evita, as it will be a best match for Beats Headphones with Sound enhancer and its Beats audio profile.
Before buying it please clear my doubts.
New At&t Htc Evita comes with ICS or Jelly bean ?
Does Beats Profile in ICS has----- URbeats,Solo, pro and Studio option? (If any one still has ICS please post a screenshot)
Did Htc removed Beats profile in Evita Jelly bean update like they did in One x International Gsm?

im using HTC sensation XE
i flash rom CM9 open sensation
i try to get beats audio into this ROM follow this post ( here ) but its not active =.=
who can tell me why????
and give me how to get beats audio
thanks alot
I'm no expert on this either so don't take my word for it.
For as far as I know Beats is only compatible with HTC's sense. And according to your story you have installed a AOSP ROM with does not contain sense.
If you install the Extreme Senseless ROM (Extreme sensation series) you still have a AOSP experience but it has some sense parts still in it. It has a sense plugin and the original HTC music app so you will have your beats audio. But only with the original HTC music app.
Hope I helped a bit
first Thread here, please be kind.
first of all, awesome website, awesome developers, and awesome ARHD roms.
i flashed my sensation with ARHD sensation XE rom and it has been nothing but awsome so far. however, as a audiophile myself, i cannot help but noticed something changed in the audio department.
with the default HTC audio player, the music became almost unlistenable without Beats enabled. the overwhelming amount of bass pretty much ruins everything. I don't recall this was the case before flashing the ARHD rom. and when i use 3rd party player (like Winamp) with no EQ change, the music is on par with using HTC audio player with Beats turned on.
so here is my theory:
1. HTC is really play dirty here by purposely making the musics sounds so bad that user has to enable the Beats audio on models that support Beats audio.
2. Sensation is not compatible with Senstion XE rom?
is this an isolated case? or are you guys all experiencing it?
Thanks
Never had that, flash again maybe?

yes... I also facing same issue when listen to music using poweramp. But as far as I know beats function only work with stock music player.

i think i flashed a number of times and i have noticed this every time.
could you do test on your phone?
listen to a music file with HTC music player with beats off, and beast on.
and listen to the same file with a 3rd party player with flat eq setting.
since 3rd party player cannot trigger beats audio, it should sound just like HTC player with Beats disabled.
my problem is it sounded like HTC player with beats enabled, while the HTC player with beats disabled sounds like carp (granted my head phone cost as much as sensation itself so i might hear a bit more, but the difference should be very significant to spot with just regular earphones)
For ICS, HTC have modified the Beats algorithm (imho)
So now, beats enabled is as the player should be,
Beats disabled, has HTC crippling the sound to make Beats sound better than it is
I think.....
A very nice posting from my ARHD XE
Sorry but.... do you guys use piracy OLD version of power amp? New version of it has Beats Audio in EQ. Better just buy Power Amp and get an update with Beats Audio in EQ And on topic, I don`t have this issue. Maybe it`s related on headphones, as I`m using headphones from SE Xperia Arc S, but with some others headphones sound is really bad.
I don't use Beats anymore as it sucks out my battery.
Google Music has pretty nice sound, don't need more than that.
I've found that using dsp manager as well as beats audio gives the best sound.

Hey guys, I see that a lot of ROMs have beats audio ported. On the HTC Sensation, would the Beats Audio port be equivalent to a HTC One S in terms of sound quality? And what exactly does the Beats Audio mod do to the sound?
Thanks

Just applies an equilizer preset.
Remember that on the xe original 3.6 stock Rom, if you don't plug in headphones with a Mic you get the bass boost preset - that or beats. If you want pure sound without any effects for.your good headphones, perhaps you should try either a sense 4 rom or a pure ics one, or not using HTC built.in music player

Sense 4.0 (ordroid) now sounds different, for the worse and j believe it is being worked on. Otherwise you can always try android revolution hd

Just want to ask. Is there any jelly bean Rom which has beats audio? I really want to try out Jelly bean but I'm not willing to let go the beats audio. I don't really mind not having my front camera working. Or is there any beats audio Mod or something to have beats on a cm10 Rom?

The only JB roms are all CM10 based. They don't have Beats.
However they do have DSP Manager which is more powerful than Beats and gives you more control over the entire spectrum of sound from the low end to the high end.
Simply put, no Beats but they have something better than Beats.
You will be happy to give up Beats.
My condolences to Dr Dre for his loss of a user when you switch.
Really? Thank for your reply. Now I really feel like trying cm10 out.

Why do you want beats anyway? It is literally just an EQ profile - you cant get better sounds out of DSP Manager and PowerAmp
Ok so I've been reading quite a bit this afternoon, and it appears that all of the Sense 4 and Sense 4.1 ROMs are based on ROM extracts for the Snapdragon S3 version of the One S (which exists solely because of a shortage of Krait chips, z560e). The One S is supposed to be getting Jelly Bean in October. So my theory, however stupid it might be, is that the Sensation may get Jelly Bean ROMs based on the S3 based One S JB update. And if it does, it should have Beats.
So you might have to wait a while, but you should get it. Unless someone comes up with a Beats mod for CM10, that is.
The Google Now add-on for ICS can be made to work (allegedly) on Sense-based ROMs so maybe that's a good holdover point for now.
There is no beats audio on the m8 right?
can anynone tell me how does music sound compared to the m7?
thanks
