how to change color on weather and flip clock??

Was wondering how to change the color on this?? Im rooted if that helps i just do not like the white font color.

not sure what it is but chances are you can find apk manager
set it up
copy the apk to weather and whatever to your sd card from inside system/apps or data /app
put it on your computer and decompile it in apk manager
go in to folder called project
open up and find res/values/colors
put it in notepad and edit with the color value you want
save, recompile, sign....may need to sign in the sign folder
put apk back on phone and install.
see what happens....lol....

Theme Developin Made Easy

​Tools Needed :

FS Resizer or GIMP( to resize or reshape png)
NOTEPAD ++(edit xml files)
Eclipse
AXMLPrinter (convert xml to txt files)
From the start:
Make sure u hav a deodexed ROM….If your ROM is not deodexed den use xultimate to deodex….
• You will get a zip or rar file in which u will find “meta inf” and “system”…. We will be concentrating only on the system folder…..Extract it to the desktop or which ever location u want….
• Inside the system folder u would see folders called “app” “framework” “media” “bin” etc….
​ Let me explain what does these folders Hav to do.
“app” is the major folder which has to do with all the pre installed apps(default apps) like calculator camera mms(messaging) touchwiz bluetooth etc…..
“framework” is the folder associated with the body formation (i.e) the skeleton of out fit…..examples like the battery icon,icons in the notification panel like “autorotate” “Wi-Fi” “GPS” etc….
“media” consists of “bootanimation.zip” file allows u to change the boot animation ( we would discuss about this later)
TUTORIAL ON HOW TO CHANGE THE ICON OF APPS:
STEP 1: First go into the “apps” folder and extract everythin(if u wish extract everythin or extract only the file u want) to the desktop…….
• Don’t be bothered about the .odex files… concentrate only on the .apk files…..
• for ex: if u wish to change the “messaging” icon…select mms.apk….enter into that and u would find folders called “res” “metainf”…….. ENTER into “res” folder and u would see folders such as “drawable” “drawable ldpi”( or similar to that) leave the folders like “xml” etc and just concentrate on “drawable-ldpi” and extract it to the desktop…..enter into that folder and u would find all the images which u see on the mobile while messaging….. Hope u would remember how the icon for the messagin app be….now search for that….for this apk it would be as “ic_launcher_smsmms”….. and BINGO your done…… download a png of the icon u want from google (for that go into google and type message icon png and select images…. Select the image of ur choice and save it) now copy that downloaded image (for ex the downloaded image name is 123.png replace that name to “ic_launcher_smsmms”)After renaming it copy and replace the default image in the “drawable ldpi” folder….. Similarly make changes for wat ever icon u want but REMBEMBER the icon ur changing should hav the same name of the default icon”
• Since u’ve modded(changed) only the “drawable ldpi” folder copy that folder in which u hav changed the icon to the folder in “res” of “mms.apk”…… to make it clear delete the default drawable ldpi and replace it with the one u modded from the desktop……(to replace just drag from the desktop to the rar file) IF WINRAR asks a confirmation “update changes made” click YES…… cool now u’ve changed the icon of the messaging app….
• Similarly try replacing the default icon of the calculator camera dialer tab activity etc by just moving into the apk file “res””drawable ldpi (hdpi, land-ldpi or wateva)
• To go more interior take dialer tab activity and follow the above steps first.,….den replace the number icons, dialer_tab_background image with any image u like  but it should be of PNG and of the same default name while replacing it in the folder……
• That’s it now u’ve learnt how to change the icons and images……
• Now do the reverse of STEP 1….. copy the modded(changed) apk files from the desktop into the “system””app” folder and don’t forget to save the changes…..

SIMILARLY just like how u replaced the icons of “apps” try replacing icons of framework folder….
• Open “framework” folder…..u’ll find many .JAR files and “framework-res.apk” and “twt-framework.apk”
• Go into framework-res.apkresand extract drawable (ldpi,hdpi,mdpi,land-hdpi) or wateva file is der to ur desktop…. Just as how u did it in “apps” replace the PNGS in it…. For ex: replace the alarm clock icon “auto rotate” “vibrate” “sound””battery icons” etc…..
• After doing all the changes in drawable folder replace the drawable folder in “framework-res.apk” and replace this “framework-res.apk” in the framework folder of the RAR file….

To do this u must need “apk manager” version 4 or higher…..
These are the folders inside the apk manager
Take the apk file for which u r goin to edit the xml for example to change the conversion of sms to mms from 4pgs to any no of pgs u want……copy the “mms.apk” file from “system””app” to “PLACE APK HERE FOR MODDING” of the apk manager….. HINT: for beginners u can edit only one file at a time After this open “SCRIPT”
IF u hav placed mms.apk file in “PLACE APK HERE FOR MODDING” den “NONE” would be shown as “mms.apk” or if u had placed “touchwiz.apk” it would show as “touchwiz.apk” on the place of NONE
Now press no 9….. the “DECOMPILING” would start and would finish with no alert…
now go to the “APK manager” folder and go into “PROJECTS” u’ll find mms.apk or wateva apk u hav used….
Den go into “RES””XML” ..... u’ll find “mms_config” open it with notepad or notepad++….(notepad++ is advisable and recommended)
You will find a line called <int name="smsToMmsTextThreshold">4</int> replace that four with whatever number u want….
Well u hav learnt how to edit the XML’s also… ….try to edit xml of touchwiz (androidmanifest.xml) to enable touch wiz rotation or touchwiz(launcher_config{to change number of rows and columns}….”default_mainapplication_order”{to change order of the apps in the touch wiz}

sorry i am very noob about this things...
I was able to run apk manager and it asked me to choose an option, i chose extract an APK... but it just closes and does nothing... or i am doing something wrong?

U need not use eclipse.... just use the apktool to deompile the apk file.... u will find folders called res xml value etc etc after u decompile the apk usin either apktool or apk manager.... If u want to change the icon or appearance use the drawables's folder where all the pngs's are present if u want to make any changes in xml use the folder"xml" and open the files usin notepad++

Sorry, I am really noob at this... how do i decompile? i tried doing that in apk manager, but i don't seem to get it to work... do i have to have the phone connected to the computer? can you give me a link where i can learn on how to use it?

downlaod the "complete set of tools" by me it'll be in the posts under android development and hackins ection.... in that ull find apktool and apk manager and some more
copy the apk file u want into "keep here for Modding" folder of apk manager den open "script".... press 9 to decompile... the decompiled files wil be in the "projects" folder of apkmanager... go into it and do ur modifications...more than this no one can be taught for more reference search using google..

i did download all that is in here... so i'll give it a try again...

listen...ill teach u now as simple as possible.... first hav the apk file with u for example take mms.apk
den download my tools
den in that go to apk manager
place the apk file in the place here for modding folder
now open script den press 9... u will hav hav no response but a folder with the apk name u hav will be created in the projects folder.... now go into the projects folder and there u will find folder called res
open that and further go to drawable folder or which ever folder u want... replace the icon which u want to be replaced with the same name as it was in the folder... for example if u want to change the mms icon the default icon is "icon.png" now download a png of ur choice rename it as "icon" and replace it in the folder.... now open the scripts again
press 11 to compile
it'll ask whether its a system file press "y" den again press "y"
den follow the instructions as given in that box... and thats it

[Tutorial] Make your own watchface theme!

Im going to explane to you how i did my own theme! inspired on the moto 360 themes! i hope you all come here and post your own Themes for us to try! Lets work your design skills!

ALL YOU NEED:
- rooted device
- explorer with root access (i use root explorer but any would do just fine)
- a zip program on your computer (i use winrar but 7zip is great to)
TUTORIAL
1 - buy and install the watchwidget app from the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.vaggan.watchwidgets
2 - using root explorer go to data/app folder on the root of your android and search for the app and copy the .apk file to any folder on your SD cart (so that you can copy it to your computer)
3 - Copy the apk file to your computer
4 - rename the file to *.zip at the end (ex: widget.zip)
5 - open the zip and open the folder red \ drawable-nodpi (IMPORTANT: Don't export the apk otherwise you will need to recompile
6 - search for images you like (i used the offline pointers) and move them to your desktop
7 - edit the PNG file with Photoshop without changing the file name (THIS IS IMPORTANT - DONT CHANGE THE PNG NAME)
8 - save it as png again and move it back into the zip file on the correct folder - red \ drawable-nodpi
9 - change the ZIP file name back to .APK again (ex: widget.apk)
10- Move it to your phone to any folder
11- uninstal the original application from your phone
12 - using the root explorer copy the new file from your sd card into the folder System/app ***
13 - restart your phone and place the widget on the SW2 like you usualy do (in my case the offline analog)
For the background of the watch just make a normal backgroud image
*** if you try to instal the apk file it wont work
WORKARROUND WITHOUT ROOT**** thanks to naheel azawy
-First backup the apk with app like this:

-Move the apk to your pc and do the same as step 4 up to step 9
-Copy it again to your phone
-Install this app on your phone:

-Choose the apk and sign it
-Uninstall the original app
-Install the new one
-Enjoy
YOU CAN ALSO change the fonts of the watchwidgets by copying the new ttf file to the folder "assets/fonts" but you need to change the name of the new file for an existing one otherwise it wont apear on the list.
DON'T SHARE YOUR APK FILE, SHARE THE .PNG ONLY - because the creator of the app has its own rights

Yes :b you are wrong. It goes to system/APP. You need a rooted phone and an explorer with root access. Any will do fine

Did you buy the APP? ( step one in my tutorial)
If yes you need root and a root explorer and it is in the folder data/app

It was my mistake! The original APP is in the root folder DATA/APP

How to make ur own system ui

[THEMING -Basic] - How to EDIT
SystemUI.apk/Apps Background
Hi there! Just wanna share..
Just a basic background on how to theme your
ROMS. - ofcourse, give thanks to the
developer of your ROMs! .
I made this thread for those users who have
personal wishes for their Phones. Ofcourse, ROM
developers cannot please all of its users. so
just make your own and be happy!.
I just made it easy for easy understanding and
for the newbies.
Tried so many times and tested
I've already tried editing the systemUI.apk of
different ROMs.
Here's what I did :
FIRST : Download 7zip to open the archived
apk. - that's free.
Extracting first the Zip File..
(make sure you copy the original before
extracting it for back up)
1. Download the ROM.zip and extract it to your
PC.
2. Go to \system\app\SystemUI.apk\res
\drawable-ldpi\
3. View the PNG files you wanted to change and
make sure to remember its' file name.
4. After editing/changing the file/image you
wanted, you can save it anywhere from your PC,
let's say on your Desktop.
- Make sure that the file name still remains as
is..
*After you're done editing, updating the
PNG files you wish to change, follow this
steps to update the zip file :
NOTE : You can apply transparency by editing
the PNG file to photoshop by reducing the
opacity of the image
1. Go to the original ZIP file of ROM.Zip from
your PC
2. Right Click the folder and select 7 ZIP -->>
open archive
3. Close all of windows/Browers (or minimize)
4. Go to \system\app\SystemUI.apk\res
\drawable-ldpi\ and it will open a new window of
7zip showing the files inside the zip.
5. Now, given your edited PNG files or
downloaded png files (assuming that files are
located in your desktop). - Click and simply
DRAG the file(s) from your desktop to \system
\app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-ldpi\ .
6. It will ask you to confirm the action for it will
replace the existing PNG file that you're trying to
change.
7. Make sure that the file name of the one you
edited/downloaded are THE SAME. -
8. After dragging and replacing the files you
wanted, then you're good to go!
9. Close the 7zip window and that's it!.
You can now install the .zip by copying the
UPDATED zip file to your SD Card.
(Note: Make sure to copy the updated one, not
the backed up one)
Install the zip file from the original thread's
instructions and reboot twice.
After that, you have now a customized
systemUI.apk.
For those who do not want to reinstall
the whole package.. follow these steps:
1. I assumed that you have the zip file of your
ROM.
2. Extract it and go to \system\app\
3. Separate the SystemUi.apk - put it on your
desktop. create a back up,
Right Click SystemUi.apk and select 7 ZIP -->>
extract here - just to view the files you wanted to
change.
Just go the folder and search for the PNG files.
4. Right Click SystemUi.apk and select 7 ZIP --
>> open archive.
5. Go to \res\drawable-ldpi\
6. Click and simply DRAG the PNG file(s) from
your desktop to \res\drawable-ldpi\
7. It will ask you to confirm the action for it will
replace the existing PNG file that you're trying to
change.
8. Make sure that the file name of the one you

9. After dragging and replacing the files you
wanted, then you're good to go!
APPLYING :
1. Download and install rootexplorer.apk
2. Download the png files you wanted to update.

4. Open root explorer in your galaxy y then go
and tap MOUNT R/W.
5. Go to \SDCard and go to new SystemUI.apk
that you have updated.
6. Long press the file and select copy
7. Press back and go to \system\app - tap
MOUNT R/W at the top.
8. Paste the new SystemUI.apk from there.
(Note : You will encounter a lot of force closes
for the exixsting systemui is currently being used
by your phone. - just ignore it a lot and scroll
down to look for the new SystemUI.apk.
9. Once you get there, long press on it and select
permissions:
from the pop up, make the checked one like
this :
•___•____ •
•___ .____.
•___ .____.
where Dots are the checked one - Bigger dots
After encountering a lot of force closes, then
reboot the phone and that's it!
(Force Closes are normal, DON't PANIC -
logically, you are currently using your
systemUI.apk so just ignore it
NOTE : You can also apply the same steps in
editing system files apps, just edit the .png files
and locate it using 7zip(when you already opened
it). Have a little LOGIC on how to edit system
app background - same process. just different
apk files and directory
