SM-N920T new, cokc OTA Update root? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

I've been reading a lot about root the T-Mobile variant of the Note 5 and have come across many different methods, kernels and twrp ways to do so. Fact of the matter is I've been out of the android scene for a year or two now (made the mistake of getting an iPhone 5s and 6+) but I used to root on my note 2 and 3. What im wondering about is what should I use to Root on T-Mobiles new COKC ota update? everything I've read says flash noble kernel but supposedly that reboots during calls (And is months out of date). So I was wondering if I could select OEM Unlock, Flash the TWRP .tar in odin then reboot and flash SkyHigh Kernel through TWRP. Or do I have to flash the kernel before flashing TWRP? thanks for any help and im glad to be back in the android realm of phones

You can follow TEKHD guide easy steps same method for cokc update http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...easy-steps-n920t-aoge-odin-twrp-root-t3187422
After you root you can flash any kernel like sky high,arter97 kernel or jovys stock modified kernel and you wont get any reboots or nothing else

Are you sure that works on COKC update? I want to update to the latest before installing root, but I didn't do it because the COKC version is not listed on TEKHD post.

how did you get your KNOX version to be unknown.

Ok so my note 5 has just arrived. Firmware is on COKC. So I have 2 questions.
1. Can I use suggested TEKHD method to root my note?
2. My second question would be can I flash ib4stid's rapture rom on my note 5 after rooting it even though the ROM is based on COI5?
If not do I need to flash COI5 firmware via odin prior to rooting my phone which is currently on COKC? or Will this brick my phone?

You can use tek's method.

I wonder.. is this newer than the JRO03R and does it include those new binary drivers?
Mine comes with the JRO03S, thats one of the reason I can't use "backup/restore" in the N7 toolkits...
not sure wat is the difference.

You would need to flash a custom recovery first such as clockworkmod, so it needs to be unlocked. The easiest way to do it for most people will be using this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809195
So, this includes the latest binary files right?
Just a few UI improvements? I'm sure it will be coming on my new C90
sweet downloading now, anyone flash this yet?
Damn i do not pay attention to these updates for the nexus im on jr003D thats how you know its working perfect downloading this now just to have latest update

Yes unlocking the bootloader (or, rather, flashing TWRP) trips KNOX.
If you know how to argue you can still get warranty to fix it xD

The one that says Stock is the full firmware and can be flashed over PJ2 stock.
The one that says Dev Friendly or whatever is the same as the Stock version, it just doesn't have the aboot.mbn so it doesn't remove Developer Edition status.
