Whenever I try to do something on my ps3 all sound becomes, loud, blaring static. The sound is perfectly fine on the main menu. My hdmi cord goes from my ps3 to a "hdmi to hdmi/audio l/r" box. From the box a hdmi running to my TV while the audio goes to the receiver through the l/r cable. Problem does not occur when I have a ps4 hooked up and I don't know what settings I have wrong.

Thing is I have an old TV with a DVI connection - I have put an HDMI Convertor on it and it woks fine with my laptop - so with a laptop I output the video via the HDMI cable to the television and stick an audio cable in the headphone socket and get the sound through my hifi.
Someone tried it for me just using a HDMI to HDMI and no sound came from the headphone jack however I wondered if because mine was not "true" HDMI it might work?
Will an android tablet do this?
Whenever I link up the game controller, the only place I get sound is when I plug headphones into the controller. Everything else is muted. Is there really no way to use the game controller without headphones? Sound is fine out of the speakers when the controller is off.
Maybe I'm missing something silly...
Thanks,
Jeff
Did you solve your problem?
I got sound from the tablet and also over HDMI if connected when using the game controller.
Hey Guys,
I recently got a new pair of headphones for Christmas. The Sony Wireless Headset 2.0 and it works amazingly with my PS4.
I was wondering if anybody knew how I could pair these headphones up with my Ascend Mate 7. The headphones connect to the ps4 wirelessly via a USB dongle. I have an OTG cable and plugging the dongle into my phone does power on the dongle as the lights come on. However no audio is passed to the headset.
Using the trial version of the following app: USB Audio Player PRO
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.usbaudioplayerpro
Allowed me to listen to music over my headphones but only to audio from this music player. So I know that it is possible to receive sound over the earphones via OTG, but I want to be able to use my headphones for gaming too. So I need to find a way to channel all sound out to the headphones.
Thanks in advance
Hi Guys!
Is it possible to play audio via usb while a headphone jack is connected ?
I'm planning on replacing my car stereo with a tablet and play music via usb with dac and amps.
This setup will render my steering wheel buttons useless but I'm thinking of moding some smartphone headphones with volume +/-and play/pause/skip capabilities to somehow control the tablet player from the steering wheel.
Can it be done ?
Thanks in anticipation!
Bump
just wanted to report that neuron player outputted to my logitech headphones when connected via USB.
and this time it had not hiss or any of the annoying sounds I get from main unit, so now I am thinking of getting proper DAC, and AMP to power the speakers from that rather than the unit itself.
few things I noticed, is that only this players output to the USB, and even then it does not respect the volume control, as that seem to be for normal output, but I might be able to make it work.
tested bluetooth, and I can get output from usb instead of main stereo.
volume is way too low, although I can control it from my phone (media volume) so it means all what I need is an amp now and software tweaks to make everything working
