Gave my screen a good scratch, want to know if there is a factory screen protector on it so I can attempt to remove it. Thanks.

Z1/Z2 has that factory screen protector but since Z3/Z3c no more again. If you scratch the screen out, there is no way to fix it easily.

Since I haven't found a thread about this, for those who are curious about the screen protectors that are included in the box.
I've tried them on, its not oleophobic and its not scratch proof. Oh and it makes the phone look less good, because of the funny triangle cutoff they made.
Keeping them on for now till i get my hands on some better quality protectors... (getting Spigen GLAS.t) or might as well go naked glass and remove the antishatter film... but a screen like this.. deserves some extra protection... as long the protection itself doesnt make look bad.
Several threads about this already. In every post that talks about the provided screen protectors, it's been discussed they are not oleophopic, etc.

Back screen protector affects the camera when taking pictures with.the flash by blurring the right side of the pic.

See if you have applied it properly. The NFC logo does cause a bump in the screen protector. Weird.
You still got the NFC sticker on under the back screen protector?

My included screen protectors went on the day I had the phone - in my experience the highest chance of scratching, dropping, scuffing or knocking a new phone is in the first few days and weeks when your hands aren't quite used to the shape and size of it.
I'll keep these on until they start looking tatty - which may not be very much longer, especially for the back one - then relace with something nicer.

It was applied perfectly well thank you very much.
Sony confirmed to me that they cause issues with the camera flash in low light conditions and have agreed to replace my phone due to the original factory fitted protectors being scratched.
Please don't jump to stupid conclusions that people don't know how to apply screen protectors. I am almost 40 and have been using mobile phones since the very first bricks and have been applying screen protectors since they first came out also.
Cheers.

I removed the NFC logo. I'm getting my phone replaced and will be putting the new one in a case and having an invisible shield on the front.
Cheers
I immediately put on the Front AND Back screen protectors included in-box for my C6603 AFTER taking off the NFC sticker, but kept the anti shatter screen on as well, after hearing it was incredibly prone. My XZ hardly picks up any fingerprints or dust, and has no scratches whatsoever. Also, I've found everything about the viewing angles and contrast to really not matter at all in general use - but this is my first phone since the good ol' LG Cookie.
I getting these! http://dx-box.com/imak-anti-fingerprint-layer-screen-protector-for-sony-xperia-z.html
I currently have the screen protectors on that came with the phone and they suck lol ugly triangle cut, finger prints get on easily, scratch easily but, w/e there're temporary no more f****** dust! so, when i get these Imak screen protectors i will let you guys know if they are good or not!
In my Box didn't included any screen protectors... :/

Dude... if you got yours paste by the shop and yours got a bump caused by the NFC sticker... please go and smack the person who paste the SP for you because they should remote that sticker first before pasting the SP.
.
Ahh, No protectors in my box.

Hi mate, could you explain by "original factory fitted protectors being scratched"? What color is your phone? I'm also having problems with taking pictures in low light. Thanks in advance.

Hi!
I have question about Sony Xperi L. On the screen is Shatter-proof sheet(like in Xperia Z). Can we take it off? The screen without Shatter-proof sheet is scratch-resistant? Is it look and work better?
ps.Sony Xperia M has Shatter-proof sheet too?

Xperia L has shatter-proof sheet (I read somewhere) but taking it off would result in scratches on the screen as that sheet protects the screen from scratches..
Well yeah, but this shatter-proof screen only sticks all the pieces together when the screen cracks. And it's HIGHLY scratchable too. Underneath there is the mineral, and scratch-resistant glass, so I would prefer to take off this crappy sheet and replace it with something like mk2 solid. It would protect my screen both from shattering and losing some pieces of screen and from scratches.
But I have a question for people who did take off this sheet. Does it leave any glue or anything?
Wytapane z Xperii L.
I don't know whether it leaves glue or not..
In my opinion the phone looks better and it feels better

Yup! Now u have no front branding logo & off course no warranty. so how abt. carving TONY PONY in the blank top bezel? Let's see how it looks like!
What say?
Looks like a fake Z1c y'know those ones from China
I removed it too. Screen looks much nicer. But i think the sticky residue was making the screen not smooth to touch and swipe. So i wiped it with alcohol and then put a liquid screen protector (oleophobic coating) and now my compact's screen is so smooth to touch.

It doesn't void warranty. If the screen smashes with or without the ASF then they're obviously not going to cover it. I took the ASF on my XPERIA Z and thinking of doing the same with my Z1C. Looks and feels better.
Whitout the protector screen, you will have scratch on the screen ? Isn't ?

When I had my Xperia S, I had some pretty deep scratches so after 18 months decided to remove the shatter proof sheet. It was like a brand new phone. So I'll do the same with this one; wait until I've scuffed it up properly and then remove it.
i contacted my sony service in croatia and they said that i can remove the ASF without losing my warranty.
i suggest you do the same, to confirm that you loose yours.

Does it affect screen sensitivity at all? I've seen posts that say removing the film leads to supersensitive response and ghost touches when typing etc.
Did not try it yet, but i was going to put a glass screen protector over it so it could level it out

yes, and you can put on display a tempered glass, from nillkin or others.... i have one from nillkin tempered glass 9H over a month and i have no scraches on it .. it`s a very good protector for screen..
some say they have ghost touches without the asf
other say they dont have
is there any explanation for the different behavior of different z1c?
maybe panel-producer?
rest of glue ont sthe screen?
Does it safe? How about water protection?
I just got this phone and planing on doing same thing. But first gonna order the screen protector. About the water protection: Idk really. If you do this really delicate I think it's fine. But if you just gonna pull it very strong it may unseal it a bit . (?) Just my thoughts though.
HI everyone
I have a problem with my z5 dual e6633
When I put a screen protector the touchscreen act wierd and I cant use its like its to sensitive, I dont know whats the problem I have tried a lot of screen Protectors when its new its OK but after it gets some scratches it became hard to use the touchscreen and I have to remove it
Have any one experienced any of this?or im the only one who have this issue?
Tempered glass is working great on my z5 dual, tempered glass tend to have a better scratch resisitance and might solve your problem.
