Does anyone have any ideas for rooting or bootloading the Verizon moto g (xt1028)? apparently the famos open bootloader does not work on this model of the moto g.

bump as I have this on my moto e 2015 LTE and since moto g 2015 has the same processor, a similar method should work for both devices if there's a way to fix it.

no, still searching. I've only come up with tools for Moto G 2013, not Moto E 2015 or Moto G 3rd gen.

Still waiting for a blankflash solution.
As of October 2015, FutureTel, the largest service shop in Canada, doesn't have a working qboot for the Moto G 3rd Edition.
Either this model doesn't have a qusb/qblock recovery capability, or Lenovo (nee Motorola) hasn't shared it with their partners.
