I have the app on my phone and i still recive the text messages from sprint but the program isnt detecting them
I haven't attempt to get the Sprint Visual Voicemail working on AOSP 1.6, but I will attempt to get it working, once quiet releases the update to AOSP 1.6 later this week.
Good Luck. I have been working on getting it working on 2.1 and ASOP 2.0...yeah...about that. Lots of variables in play
Cheers,
Matt

Ok thanks!!! i have the app on my phone already i guess it just needs some programing internally..
Anyone making progress on this?
I'm loving running 1.6, even though it's AOSP. Everything is great except I really like VisualVM.
I can't even find the apk to try...advice?

Since I have my voicemail re-assigned to Google Voice, no more worries of Sprint's version. Give it a shot, the app is awesome!

Everything but the speaker in the phone app works for me. I just did a backup, wipe (from recovery), and flashed.

Got specifics on setting up GV's VisualVM going properly? All I would want from GV is the VisualVM. No need for any of the other stuff (calls etc.)
I'll play with it a bit now
I have changed over my voicemail to Google Voice and that seems to be the way to go for all platforms. I have even stopped giving out my regular phone number and instead opt to point people to the gv.
i am curios to know this too. I believed that the message sprint sends to triger visual voicemail was a MMS. Now that MMS has been resolved for this ROM, is visual voicemail working? Anyone tried it?
All you have to do to get the your VM to go to your GVoice acct is log into your GVoice acct on the computer, go to Settings & there will be an option, with instructions, on how to activate/setup it up.
Awesome. Apparently it was working for a good 30mins before I realized it haha.
I like this! I left myself a VM and got an email notification of it (on my phone) before I even opened the Voice app on the phone to make it check for VMs more often heh.
I'd use GV for VM over the Sprint one any day and on any ROM.
I am using the newest one 1.5.x. But it hangs on my x10 all the time, I have to force close all the time when I try to dial or received sip call.
Any one got sipdroid working on your x10, please let me know the version number...
Thanks

Hi, I'm using 1.5.2 beta from the market and its working ok so far. Sometimes however it does hang and causes the Dialer to force close. Only a reboot recovers from that. But I since I migrated from pbxes.org to sipsorcery, the problem hasnt happened that often.
What exactly do you experience while using sipdroid? what sip provider are you using?

I think I spoke too soon, tried using sipdroid yesterday and it started acting up on me.
The Dialer stops responding, I can't open contacts etc. Only a reboot sorts it out. As I said, I was using sipsorcery as the sip provider, so I checked the logs there, there were multiple registrations originating from my phone, but I guess every time I rebooted, sipdroid didnt get a chance to un-register them. Moreover even if I tried to exit out of sipdroid the registration stays.
I think something weird is going on. Any hints or suggestions anyone?
Please share your experiences using sipdroid on the X10

same problem on my x10a. switched back to sipdroid 1.3.x and so far so working. will report again if it crashes again.
my biggest hope is to get android ROM on x10 in the near future. really not a big fan of the SE modded crap.

worked for the last 24hrs.
actually found that if you installed 1.3.x and update to 1.5.x it still works. still need time to say if this is consistently true.
After the 4.1.2 update talkatone stopped working right. It locks up the whole tablet. And groove ip wont work at all. Did another factory reset but still screwed up. anyone else having these problems?
ok well ive uninstalled, reinstalled google voice and talkatone 4 or 5 times. ive done 3 to 4 factory resets, ive restored my note with cwm to 4.1.1 and all works great. redownload the 4.1.2 and all goes bad again. you can use talkatone 1 or 2 times then it locks up the tablet and sets it on vibrate to boot. same with groove ip now. has anyone made several calls from talkatone or groove and it workes right?
Did u ever get groove ip to work on 4.1.2?
I've posted in the longer voip thread in the general section, too. Csipsimple works on JB 4.1.2. I had been using Sipdroid but it was a source of system crashes on JB so I deleted it. Download the additional free Csipsimple codecs as well. I have no issues with audio on incoming or outgoing calls and it's actually using less battery power than Sipdroid, which wasn't really a power hog. I have my Google voice setup with pbxes and there are no issues with registration.

I can get GrooveIP working, but Talkatone completely locks up my tablet. Can't even shut it down. It finally reboots after I lean on the power key for a couple of minutes (NK). It's annoying enough that I'm uninstalling it, and it's going NOWHERE near my phone.
But GrooVeIP worked fine for a while, including this afternoon. Not behaving tonight, but I think it's Hangouts, blocking calls to other GV clients. Tried signing out completely, but it's still wonky. Rings, and appears to answer, but on the outgoing end there's just constant ringing and then voicemail. I'll take it up again tomorrow, perhaps, because I like having the wifi phone.
And this is why I bought the N8000 with phone calls enabled....
I've been running GooveIP on JB 4.1.2 without any problems on my GT-N8013. Even with the update to Hangouts.
Now I am running GloryROM for GT-N8000 / GT-N8013: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2273892 using the instructions to install on GT-N8013. This leaves the phone & messaging functions in place, and that could have some effect on why it works just fine. I do use the built in phone to do the calls as well.
If you are using a N8013 rom without the phone functions, I wonder if that could be the cause of it not working on JB 4.1.2. Since something might have been removed with the phone functionality that causes the problems. But can't say without a lot more testing and looking into everything.
Wow, Niscandia, thanks! I'll take a look at this. Like I noted above, GrVIP used to work just fine, even after JB. Seemed to go off the rails with Hangouts, but I'm no longer convinced of an association. I've learned to get along without GrooVe now, so I hadn't pursued this much lately. But I'd like to fix it, so I can help trouble shoot for other folks, so I'll take a look at this. BTW, I'm using an GT-N8013.

It would help A LOT if you explained WHAT the problem is rather then saying there is a problem...... don't even know what your issue is?
for me, this works fine.
say: OK GOOGLE
say: Call ********
Phone will call ....
What's the issue?

LOL still upset...the voice dialer while paired by bluetooth using it my car with my Kenwood Navigation head unit DNX890HD. It just does not work well at all. It misses names, can`t find names that are in my contacts, adds digits on number dial....etc Contacts that S voice (on my Samsung Galaxy S4) would call with no issues what so ever do not work at all. It is poor at best. The issue is with the voice dialer over Bluetooth in the car...Ok Google now works just fine.
So anything I can do to get better results or another app to give me better results.
Hope that helps and adds more meat to the subject.

This sounds obvious but I thought i'd throw it out there anyways... have you gone into the settings and checked off the box that tells it to work through the bluetooth headset? It may just be using the mic on the phone which is why it's messing up so bad.

Wish I could help, but in my experience, Google's voice recognition is one of if not the best voice recognition software out there. I've used "OK Google" few times and few more times as a test and compared to others, it's excellent.
could be a possibility your BT mic just isn't picking it up..or isnt close enough.
How does it perform without bluetooth?
In Google now settings, go to voice and check Bluetooth headset. Google Now will now be used instead of the dated "voice dailer."

I agree on its own in Google now it is really good...but hooked up to my Nav unit and it is the voice dialer which I think is different to Google now in some aspects...is the $hits. Klets works I have bought it and it does what Svoice dos on SGS4...I am happier now, just wished the built in one worked!!

I will try that, thought I did but was rushed. So when hooked to bluetooth then the screen will always have to stay on or activate when I press on the phone button on the nav unit? Will give it a try.
Klets works fine, but would love to get google now...

Same here...using Dodge/Chrysler's UConnect and I haven't had a single problem save for the same problem with some of my contacts not being able to be dialed using "Name, Home". It consistently boots me to that person's mobile number. That might be a google related issue or something else. Using numbers only hasn't given me any problems.
So here is my dilemma, Google now works when the phone is unlocked and through the blue tooth on the nav unit with ok google...when I press the telephone button on the nav unit it then defaults to either google voice dialer (the old crappy one) or klets with the always or just once options.
So it works sort of.....

I couldn't get the phone voice dialer or my old standby voice dialer called cyberon to work reliably on the N5 and my sony mw600 bluetooth headset. Cyberon worked fairly reliably on my old galaxy nexus but not on the N5.
I really thought that there was a bug in the N5 kitkat which would hose any bluetooth voice dialer. At your suggestion I just loaded klets and wow, it seems to work wonderfully!
I need some time with it but I am very encouraged. Caanda45 I can't thank you enough for your remarks

When I tried ok google for dialing I seem to recall there was no verification. I don't think I could rate a voice dialer as excellent without verification. I really don't want an old girlfriend asking me why I was calling her.

I didn't say voice dialer was excellent.. I said the voice recognition was excellent.
As for verification, there is no "yes" "no" verification but there is a few second delay before it places a call, during which you can cancel if that's not the number you wanna dial.

ok, I'll acknowledge your statement about the voice recognition. I just tried playing with the voice calling feature again to refresh my memory.
Many times ok google wasn't picked up. There is no voice verification yes/no as you stated and no repeat of who it was about to call. Yes there is a delay where you could kill it with touch but I saw no way to kill it with a voice command once it commenced. Having to kill it with touch completely misses the point of voice dialing.
While the name it picks seems to be accurate that's about the only useful thing I can say about it. Even then often it would pull the correct name but drop the "call" part of the command and instead do a default web search on the name.
IMO, the google now voice dialer is cute but practically useless as a serious voice dialing application.

It uses the Google system not the old google crappy voice dialer but the new one that is in the nexus 5...so basically google now..works really well even when I press the phone button on the nav system it defaults to google now through the nav mic. My N5 would use the crappy old google voice dialer until I used klets. All in all happy that I got rid of the N5.
I noticed a big problem today. Every time I try and call any number not in my contacts the dialer just closes and goes back in the phone app. If I add the same number in my contacts then it works fine.
I checked greenify and cm security and I did not find anything that would cause this.
Please help.....
Edit: did some more testing and even from the contacts it works only when it wants to.
To hell with it. If I don't get any help tomorrow I'm going back to kitkat
